The boys couldn't hold in their excited voices once they saw the headgear within the box.

Enzo quickly pulled it out of the box and looked at it from all different angles.

The headgear looked very similar to the helmet of the superhero who is a man made of iron. It lacked the eye holes and instead of a slit around the mouth area it was a vertical slit near the nose, it was also white and made of plastic. Other than those changes, it looked very similar to the superhero's helmet.

The part of the headgear that covered the face was lifted up, and Enzo assumed it would close once he was ready to enter the game.

The inside of the headgear had foam covering most of it to make it more comfortable to wear.

Enzo pulled out the papers from the bottom of the box and began reading.

The papers detailed the instructions on how to use the headgear and the safety features.

The headgear could only be used for 16 hours and had a 4 hour charging time. Enzo was confused about this for a while until he found out that the headgear could not be used while it was plugged in.

This was to prevent any electrical incidents while someone was using the headgear. The company didn't want any lawsuits on their hands, so they made it impossible for the headgear to even turn on while plugged in.

It also detailed the usage time of the bronze headgear.

The bronze headgear could only be used for 14 hours at a time and had a 6 hour charging time.

This meant that the silver headgear offered an extra 2 hours of play time.

Enzo and Ivan went to their rooms and plugged in their headgear before going back to the living room to talk about the game and then watch TV to pass the time.

They decided on which class they wanted to pick and which Inheritance they wanted to chase as well.

They originally couldn't decide which species to pick because Ivan wanted to choose Dragon Halflings while Enzo thought Werewolves would be a better choice. They ended up using a wheel spin to determine which species, and it landed on an option that neither one of them wanted.

However, they decided to honor the wheel spin and chase that bloodline.

"It's 11:59, let's go." Ivan said with a smile.

Enzo turned the TV off and nodded with his own smile.

They went into their bedrooms and got ready to log in.

Enzo unplugged the DIVR headgear and picked it up off the floor before lying down on his bed.

He slid the headgear on his head and then pressed the button on the right side where his ear was.

"Beep."

A silent noise came from the headgear to indicate it was turned on.

The face section of the helmet then moved down and covered Enzo's face.

A message then popped up in front of his eyes, on the back of the face cover.

[Welcome!]

[The system will now begin initializing]

[Loading 20%]

[Loading 60%]

[Loading 100%]

'Finally.'

It only took a few seconds but Enzo was feeling impatient.

[Would you like to enter Legends Reborn Online?]

"Yes." He said out loud.

Almost immediately, he felt his eyes start to droop uncontrollably. It was almost like he was falling asleep, but without the tiredness that one would usually feel.

However, once Enzo's eyes fully closed, they quickly snapped open once again, but this time he did not see the inside of the headgear.

[Legends Reborn Online launches in 29 seconds]

[...28 seconds]

Enzo was in what looked like an endless void, just floating around.

In front of him was a large blue screen with the countdown on it.

[...3 seconds]

[...0 seconds]

A bright light flashed in front of Enzo's eyes.

Next thing he knew he was standing on solid ground again.

"Welcome Player!" A voice that sounded like fresh honey rang out.

Enzo looked around and saw a beautiful garden with a pavilion in the middle of it.

There was a woman sitting down in front of a table in the pavilion smiling at Enzo.

'Beautiful…'

She could only be described as a goddess. She had long black auburn hair, bright green eyes, tan skin, and a perfect face.

She wore a long green dress that matched the color of her eyes.

"Come sit, I have a lot to explain." She said to Enzo while picking up a tea cup and sipping on it.

Enzo followed her orders and sat on the chair opposite her.

"Welcome to the world of Legends Reborn Online. What name would you like to go by in this new world?"

"Atlas." Enzo quickly responded.

He and Ivan already planned out what their in-game names would be so that they could send each other friend requests as soon as possible.

Enzo said it quickly because he didn't want anyone else to take his name.

"That is a good name, Atlas." The goddess said.

She took another sip of tea before continuing, "My name is Rhea, I am the AI that governs this world. I will give you a small introduction before sending you off."

Enzo nodded his head and didn't interrupt.

"First, let's go over how to use your menus. All you have to do is think something along the lines of 'Menu' or 'Open menu' and the interface will open. There are other menus you can open as well with different commands like the menu that shows time. All you have to do is think 'Time' and it will show, but let's start with the basic character menu. Go ahead and give it a try."

'Menu' Enzo thought.

Immediately, a blue hologram appeared in front of him.
