81 Another Cave

Enzo put his 2 newly available status points into strength and vitality as they were walking.

10 hours later, there was another status point each added into his vitality and agility due to Ravenous Blood Drinker. Enzo had slain almost 80 crew members himself, and he decided to absorb the blood from some of his friends' kills as well. His stats now looked like this:

Enzo planned to finally start leveling up his skills once he reaches level 15, but for now leveling was much more important.

The group had been traveling through the jungle for 10 hours straight now, and were starting to get tired from all the killing.

Nothing out of the ordinary could be found throughout the whole jungle so far, but Enzo couldn't help but want to keep going even against the rest of the group's protests. He could feel that there was something here that they were supposed to find, and his gut has never lied to him before.

And luckily, it wasn't wrong this time either.

Ivan came running through the trees and plants, "They found a cave entrance.", Ivan announced to the main group as soon as he reached them.

"Told you guys." Enzo said with a smug smile.

"Relax buddy, that doesn't mean there's actually something here just yet." Vincent said with a chuckle.

The main group kept walking until they met up with the scouts of the group once more.

It was just as Ivan said, there was a large cave entrance. This time Enzo could see into the cave, so he knew it wasn't a dungeon entrance.

That wouldn't make much sense anyway, as it would be a dungeon within a dungeon.

The problem with the cave entrance is that there was a sharp right turn only a few feet after entering, so there wasn't much they could do in terms of info gathering without taking unnecessary risks.

"Should we scout it out first?" Juliet asked.

"No, we can go in together. If you two were to get ambushed and we were farther away we might get there way too late." Enzo responded.

"Let's go in with the same formation we currently have, but Pepper and Prometheus go to the back with Ivar. Eevie you go up front with Cereal. Hephaestus and I will be the backups/support for you two."

The group followed Enzo's orders and got into the new formation before going into the newly discovered cave.

Bella was standing to the right of Kenny and in front of Enzo, so Enzo stepped up, preparing to give her support once a fight broke out.

After rounding the corner they were met with another turn. This time the cave veered to the left then slightly right again. The group turned through the cave which opened up into a large and straight hallway. Of course, there were monsters in this section of the cave. There was a door at the end of the hallway, guarded by the 8 crew members standing near it. Unlike the previous crew members, these were all level 16.

"Group up. Ivar you're on your own, but watch him closely Store Clerk." Enzo said in a quiet voice.

He wasn't yet yelling, but wasn't whispering either. He didn't care much about if the monsters heard him or not because they would most likely notice them before the group could sneak up on them anyway. Using Bella's assassin skills was also out of the question because of how many enemies there were. It would be impossible to kill one of them and be able to retreat in time.

"Let's go." Enzo said.

Bella ran after one of the crew member's and Enzo followed closely behind. The rest of them split up into groups of two as well, other than Vincent.

He was once again left by himself because of his class choice, but he definitely didn't seem to mind. In fact, during most fights he had a large smile on his face like a maniac. Kenny had a similar smile on his as well. Enzo could tell they were both battle freaks in training.

Bella pulled out two curved daggers as she got closer to the crew member. Enzo drew his bow this time. He wanted to use his kyoketsu-shoge, but it didn't seem smart to do so when fighting with another person.

Enzo's self awareness was not bad, so he knew just how skilled he was, or rather wasn't, with the kyoketsu-shoge. He might end up hurting Bella this time during the fight instead of himself if he tried to use the rope feature of the daggers again. He would eventually get used to them, but team fights were not the place to do so.

However, what he was confident in is his aim with the bow. His aim has gotten tremendously better since the start of the game, so he felt he would be able to adequately support Bella during the fight with his bow.

The weak spot of the crew members was the same as usual, right in the middle of the chest.

Enzo slid to his knee after reaching 15 feet away from the crew member they were targeting and readied his bow.

Bella had already reached the monster due to her higher agility stat and had started dancing around the monster with her daggers.

I may or may not be able to get the bonus chapter out just yet, so it may be pushed back to tomorrow. I was busy today and I am just a little tired, so we'll see what happens. Either way, thank you for the support as always.
