29 Alchemist Monster Slayer

Ding!

[You have been placed in the Kular Kingdom due to your real life location.]

[You have now gained access to the subclass system! You may choose one subclass from the list, but be warned you may not change this later on.]

[Subclasses:]

[Blacksmith

Alchemist

Archaeologist

…]

'Hmm.'

Enzo already knew what subclass he wanted to choose as the list had been released before the game even came out, but just to make sure he was secure in his decision he took a few minutes to browse the list.

There were many interesting choices that he believed would be useful throughout all stages of the game.

Blacksmiths would always have work, but he wouldn't choose that because he would soon lose the ability to even wield a weapon due to that being a weakness of the Vampires.

Tamer's would be able to gain pets within the game that would be useful, but it didn't match well with his main class.

The last option for Enzo was the alchemist subclass. It seemed to be the most reasonable choice.

Most games have potion maker or something similar, so Enzo already knows what to expect from the subclass.

It would hopefully help him in all aspects of the game, but the main thing Enzo wanted was the money making and saving it offered.

Being able to make his own potions and elixirs would probably save him tons of coins down the line, and he would probably be able to sell them as well.

[Congratulations you now have the Alchemist subclass! Obtaining the starter skills.]

[World Announcement: Players: Atlas and Pepper have become the eighth and ninth players to clear the tutorial dungeon.]

[...]

The announcement was shown five times like usual.

They then received a personal announcement.

Ding!

[You are now in eighth place on the world leaderboards. This leaderboard displays the top players by level across the world. To see this leaderboard at any time, just think of it and it will appear.]

[+50 gold coins]

'Nice.'

Enzo now had 61 gold coins and plenty of silver and bronze ones as well.

Enzo then turned his attention back to his subclass, but before he looked at his new skills Enzo asked Juliet, "Which one did you choose?"

"Runesmith. It sounds interesting."

"Mhm."

Enzo wasn't sure just what a Runesmith could do, but it did indeed sound interesting.

He then opened his menu to look at the new additions.

[Log out]

There were 3 new skills to look at, so Enzo pulled them all up.

[Inspect (Rank 1: 0/1000)]

[Inspect allows the user to see the properties and uses for inanimate objects. Simply focus on the object and think of the skill and it will activate.]

[Separate (Rank 1: 0/1000)]

[Separate allows the user to separate liquid substances into their base forms by focusing on the substances and thinking of the skill.]

[Combine (Rank 1: 0/1000)]

[Combine allows the user to combine different liquids into one substance by focusing on the substances and thinking of the activation of the skill.]

The skills were all obviously skills for alchemical use.

'Let's test this.'

Enzo wasn't crazy enough to try testing out Separate or Combine, but Inspect seemed safe enough for right now.

He bent down and broke off a few blades of grass from around his feet.

Ding!

[Crabgrass]

[It's grass. Why the fuck would it be used to make anything you idiot.]

"..."

Enzo had to read the description multiple times to make sure he didn't read it wrong.

"Sigh. Something is wrong with these developers." He grumbled.

He dropped the grass and wiped off his hands on his pants.

Enzo then looked around at his surroundings.

They were standing in the middle of a dry dirt road that cut through a large flat expanse of grassland. The grass reached up to Enzo's knees and swayed with the light wind.

It was midday in game and in real life so it looked very peaceful and nice.

"Enzo!" A voice came from behind him.

Enzo turned around quickly towards the voice and yelled back, "Ivan!"

Walking up to Juliet and Enzo were Enzo's roommate and his roommate's new friend.

Enzo looked at the ID of the new guy walking beside Ivan.

[Ivar]

[Level 10]

The man was just as tall as Ivan standing at 6'7, but completely different in every other way.

Ivar was a pile of chiseled muscles under smooth dark brown skin. He had long black hair that went just past his shoulders in a dreadlock style. His hazel colored eyes looked like smooth caramel and were in stark contrast to his skin color. His face was masculine with a strong jawline, but had feminine touches as well. Enzo doesn't play for that team, but he couldn't help but admit the man looked good.

'That's not fair, that man must be blessed.'

"Hello, I am Ivan's roommate. My IGN is Atlas, but you can just call me Enzo." Enzo shook the man's hand.

"I am Vincent. You may call me by my real name as well."

"It is nice to meet your Vincent."

Vincent and Juliet then introduced themselves to each other, using their real names.

Ivan and Juliet then did the same.

They all understood that as vampire chasers of different bloodlines they would most likely be together for a very long time in game, so it didn't make much sense to hide their real names from each other knowing they would share them eventually.

Also, it was just kind of confusing having an Ivan and an Ivar. Their names would get mixed up a lot, so Vincent sharing his name prevented the future confusion.

Thank you Tungil_NL for the power stones! I don't know if it's possible, but if we can somehow get 15 more before 12 pm tomorrow (EST time) I will release an extra chapter.
