Assassins' Dilemma, A Petty Person

The girl looked at her savior with a blank and unreadable expression.  As this person wandered around her room without paying her any attention for the whole two hours which made her puzzled ' What is he doing ? '

She kind of expected guarded expression or fear on her savior's face when she woke up. At least she felt a lot better if she could gauge if this stranger had some hidden motives to save her, it could ease her mind to a certain degree but this person, like a walking corpse she couldn't get a read at all which put her in a situation.

Because She knew no one in their right mind would help out a dangerous unknown individual much less a Fatally wounded assassin like her.  Even if the person couldn't identify her as an assassin from her attire And weapons it should have still raised some suspicion or make them Wary right?

But what's with this situation? Thankfully her observation skills weren't completely useless. He was light on his feet and had scary instincts as if he was aware of his surroundings all the time. She bet he could dish out lethal strikes at the moment of notice from the way he carried his body.

What was even more astonishing was that this person seemed to be only in his late teens, not yet even entering his twenties. Which is about the same age as her but she felt this unprecedented level Of dangerous sensation from him.

Whenever the boy treated her, she instinctively felt she was in great danger. As if she so much as had a thought of attacking him he might catch on it and she might die in a horrible way.  As someone growing up relying on her instincts a lot to survive in her missions had clear understanding towards these feelings so even if she was Terrified she didn't dare to have any thoughts about attacking him especially when she was in this condition.

But she had to say her savior (or captivator) was someone hard to understand even by a trained assassin like her. She even doubted that he treated her as a fellow human. She would even say he treated her like a pet because not far from her bed there was a deer Lying in the Same room as her.

Even though It seems alright she was certain it should have been suffering injuries from judging its slight limp when it walked around the room. Ever since she woke up it no longer comes near her bed. Instead it chooses the opposite Corner but acts all chummy when the youth come into the room.

The dangerous guy fed it fresh fruits and vegetables from a sack.  What an  exaggeration she never thought someone would feed the deer with a freshly bought bag full of fruits and vegetables. Whereas they had to share the similar sack of fruits and vegetables, she really wondered what exactly she got herself into.

She doesn't know he had a fetish for nursing the injured or locking them up. Thankfully the person didn't show any hostility towards her and completely accepted her presence just like how he accepted the deer living there.

The stranger aside from treating her and feeding her didn't seem to Mind anything else.  She could sense his presence in the next room most of the time And figured out it's about Once every two days he went out to bring things for them… food, water medicine.

She has been mentally noting down His  schedule and which time he went out. Though most of the time he was back in  an hour or no more than an hour and half. Which led her to believe they were probably back in the city or very close to human inhabitants.

But the girl couldn't shake off her growing anxiety, she was starting to become more and more aware of something. ' He was definitely a killer, I can tell he killed dozens of people in the least '

Her eyes narrowed ' Could it be he was a mercenary On the run I could definitely tell he wasn't an assassin ' she mused. As days passed she got better and better but never even looked at her savior's eyes as she was very careful to not trigger the Youth in any way possible.

'Something definitely off about him today ' she warily noted to herself one day.  It has already been a month since Mikael saved her; she has been paying close attention to him all this time and only to find something odd about him today.

Although If she wanted to point out there are many things to pick up on when it comes to him like how without ever asking her anything he was able to treat her effectively and she could tell he wasn't a person trained in medicine at all or rich enough to bring out all this costly equipment to treat Her.

So his slightly crazy state and murderous aura emitted around him made her realize she had to speed up things for all she knows he might be a serial killer. She has been planning to contact her headquarters since the last few days as per guild key rules she had to inform her situation to the sect as soon as possible or she might be taken as a deserter.

Since the fellow doesn't seem to have any suspicions on her she also employed a ploy. She acted as if she didn't know whenever he was not in the hideout. She either busy herself with something or She would pretend to fall asleep. As it happens around the same time she pulled the sleeping act.

The girl listened closely for a full ten minutes when she confirmed he was really out. She took out a small sleek looking device which wasn't miraculously  by her reclusive savior. Well to be exact he doesn't seem to care Whether she has it or not.

But nonetheless as soon as she opened her eyes the first thing she did After waking up was to reset her Boden. After making sure he didn't care about her device she tried to undo the security mechanism she put on it.

For that she had no choice but patiently waiting for a specific method to recover her devices, Datas and contacts. The only good thing was that when she shut off her device it would alert her headquarters they would understand she was in trouble monitoring her device but she had to contact them within six months if not even the person had any solid reason they couldn't be returned to the organization.

Maybe after a thorough check up organization allows them to act as a middleman Or contact but definitely not rejoin their assassin rank.  She definitely did not want that to happen so she could recover her boden today.

She typed something like a program language and murmured Something weirdly resembling Kindergarten rhymes and took out her dagger. She turned the hilt clockwise and anticlockwise at specific times.

And pressed the blade an inch before where it went into the hilt. An inch long thin metal part fell off the blade. The girl inserted the thing into her Boden until the brightly lit up she held her breath.

Thankfully it only took thirty seconds with a sigh she reached down and took her right foot shoe and carefully carved a line along the design. After a few repetition a sharp tear formed in the side of the heel she carefully pulled it out where a small glowing cylindrical Object came out.

After inserting that thing into her Boden as well she carefully put back the rubber piece into its compartment. She was trying to connect with her organization for a while.

After some tries she doesn't continue with this calmly putting away her Boden where it was once again lying down on her bed in a forty minute pretending to be sleeping.

But the youth hadn't returned even after two hours and soon it was already midnight. She couldn't sit still in her bed. She wondered what happened to the youth, if possible she wanted to escape this place as well.

She carefully got up and out of the bed her injuries were not stopping her from walking. She carefully picked up her sword and walked out of the room she was recuperating all this time.

Of course she couldn't use it to fight but it was enough to defend. If it was something to do with her pursuers  then she might really die. But she couldn't possibly sit still when such an anomaly occurred ' Was he captured or dead? ' she thought a brooding image of youth came to her mind.

Special Department Underground Cell,

The pretty blonde woman standing in the dark corner of the cell as if the light in the room is repulsive to her. She had her eyes closed and did not seem to care about Least bit that she was standing in that place for about two weeks straight she didn't even seem to be angry.

She suddenly stiffened and look up at the Ceiling and her eyes gleam with intense red glint Like a breeze she crossed the distance and come towards the thick metal door in that instant raised her hand to bang the door but a dull blue light emanating from the Indecipherable doodles craved on the door.

She gritted her teeth as she stiffly turned her head to look at the monitoring camera and mouthed something Very slowly. A screen pops up into existence on the wall In less than a minute.

From the camera box a mocking chuckle comes out. " Haha, Miss Alisha what a surprise, I surely thought you Aren't going to cooperate with us any time sooner, what happens "

The voice was too cheerful for her liking and an annoyance crept up to her expression " Let me go! "

"..."

" I swear on my honor, I wouldn't pursue this matter if You guys release me from this cell " her voice was calm but very assertive.

"Now, now...Was there a misunderstanding between us somewhere? If I remember correctly in our conversation I clearly explained why you are put into our custody? Was it not clear? You have yet to prove you are not the culprit. And why are you in that place? Finally, who mascare the patrol squad?"

There was an edge in the voice " You were completely uncooperative throughout the interrogation and never once were you willing to clear any misconception we have towards the case. Am I right Miss Alisha? "

" I'm sure, you guys should have found out I'm not the one you were seeking? Please do me a favor...I have an important thing to take care of, please let me go " Alisha said in a soft pleading voice.

"...."

"So you can be polite? How surprising! It's  really a surprise, as for this favor of yours, why didn't you directly ask about this to Mr Anthony yesterday?" The person seemed curious as well.

" I-I'm only remembering it now, it's a personal matter so please do me this favor I'll be really grateful to you and your people" Alisha didn't hesitate to lower her head once again.

" Miss, while your promise is tempting, I'm sure this can be done.  But I'm not in any position to let you go.  If you want me to take such risks then at least you have to tell me what's this personal matter of yours about, don't you think?" the voice spoke in a crafty persuasive tone.

" After all, you aren't from here, while your device is likely forged and you are still claiming to be 'human' when we have all the evidence proving that's not the case. How do you think I could be any help to you if all you are going to ask is having faith in you " the tone had a tinge of mockery in it.

" I can't possibly put more civilian lives in the city to potential dangers could I? Take some more time Miss Alisha… we are in no hurry I'm sure we come to better understanding than this " the connection was cut.

Alisha's expression was on the brink of collapsing but she seemed struggling to stay level headed. But the sudden alarm stiffened her body as her eyes widened as If she thought of something trace of urgency coming to her face.

When she looked up at the camera box she unhesitantly announced "I'm willing to answer your question but be quick about it.  I'm in a rush "

"So you really do know something don't you?" Unlike the person before, a cold yet familiar voice came through the box which she immediately recognized as the voice of the detective who previously interrogated her, the person named Anthony or something " Speak! What's your connection with the 'thing' that is attacking civilians in the suburbs?"

The blonde was taken aback for a second but of course she wouldn't answer all of his questions which were not supposed to be asked to her in the first place. "I already told you this matter is a personal matter of our race so, please watch what you are asking for?"

" A monster massacring civilians in our city and you are telling me it was not something I have to worry about, what a joke?" Anthony sneeringly asked " It looks like you are clearly up to something. Perhaps informing this matter to the hunters is necessary I suppose? "

Alisha flinched when he mentioned the hunters and got little furious by his threatening ' Accursed bas**** Why the hell did this secretive department send a petty person like him to investigate this matter? '

' Ugh! This is so annoying I should have killed them off for good ' a strong killing intent emanated from her as her face morphed into an angry expression, her eyes changed into crimson orbs, set of fangs grew out of her canines, Scarlett energy shrouded her like a cloak.

"Are you threatening me with their names? Are you even aware of the consequences you are going to face if I let you live ?" Anthony shivered despite securely taking a seat two floors above. " You have no idea what you are doing? "

" Am I right to assume that it was the lowly dogs that gave you information about me and my movement? " she glared at the box " Let me tell you something, if you didn't lock me up this wouldn't have happened-"

"A-are you threatening us? How dare you-"

*hiss*

" Shut up moron, I'm specifically coming here to take care of this problem before something bad happens to your city, release me from this cell" Alisha ordered Anthony through the box.

"..."

Room fell into silence seconds ticked off the light flickered the screen on the wall cut off. Alisha grounded her teeth there was anger, annoyance, bloodlust, killing intent with that there was a trace of panic flickered in her eyes.

Without looking at the box she stood there closed her eyes in contemplation. Her senses were enhanced as she tried to listen to everything in that building.
