CHAPTER 19: LEAD THE WAY
It is already evening as Koven leads them to where the portal is. He held by one of the goons to prevent his escape. The portal is. He is held by one of the goons to prevent his escape. The portal can only be seen by Koven which is at the end of a cliff where the forest stops. One had to jump off the cliff to enter the portal.
The husky guy throws a stone and watches as it enters what seem to him as an invisible hole.
He then smiles while texting Seth that they have been led to the portal beyond the cliff before looking up to speak,"I must say you all are genius, this seems to be the reason it was so hard to find you. But first, enter the portal just to be sure you not leading us to a trap."
The goon let's go of Koven to allow him to carry out the order. Just then, Koven falls the goon using a powerful kick causing him to fall hard on the ground unconsciously while simultaneously throwing a stone onto the head of the other goon holding Lucy. This causes the husky man to bring out his gun and start shooting at Koven rapidly while Lucy reaches for the fun in the pocket of the unconscious goon.
Koven dodges most of the bullet and uses his speed to push the husky guy onto the ground. Koven struggles to get the gun from him, but due to the fact that, his powers have not fully revived since the injection of the weakening substance, the husky guy seems to have a upper hand turning the gun point towards Koven's chest. Only if Koven could transform and tear his head off, the husky guy would be no match.
Suddenly, pow! Pow!, a gunshot goes off. " Damn! Lucy!" Koven smiles at her action clearly impressed. He gets off from the presently deceased body of the husky guy, Lucy shot his head from her position behind the tree.
"What?! You forgot I can handle the guns. Helloooooo, I'm a police officer." She waves her hand in the air in order to state the obvious before finishing her statement," just because I'm pregnant doesn't mean anything though." By now, Lucy is smiling and Koven still has an amused and impressed expression.
"Lucy, go home while I take care of these bodies and the phone. I'm sure Karen is worried sick", Koven says to Lucy. He approaches her to give her a hug before she reluctantly leaves.
By the time, she's some steps away from Koven walking away, he shouts out his last words, "And be careful." "Yeah,Yeah" is her response before going out of sight from Koven.
One of the goons begins to stir showing consciousness right before, Koven kicks his neck to the other side to ensure he's dead.
After a while of destroying the phone, burying the bodies ad cleaning the mess, it is already getting dark ,he goes back into the realm.
FELIX'S OFFICE IN DANVILLE....
" I got a text that the portal at Lexington via located off the cliff at the and of the forest," Seth informs Felix. " Great! We can finally launch our attak. We would need to arrange for travelling to Lexington today", Felix says with the joy of a happy child.
Seth just smiles and responds with pride, "I told you I could take care of the location. You just have to use the right people."
"Yeah, I must say, I am impressed at your success in this. I will inform my workers to get the machines ready for export to Lexington right away. We attack tommorow."
Felix says all these while sending a text to the head of his scientists ( ready flight to Lexington with the weapons, tommorow we launch). Seth just smiles, amused by everything that is about to go down.
