CHAPTER 13: THE SPY

"Don't try to escape, I tied those ropes very tightly," Reebabo maintains a very serious look. The other immortals are curious and desperate to get information out of him.

"For the last time, tell us who sent you!" Theux is enraged and getting impatient."He is just too stubborn", Cerberus adds.

"Not for long." Reebabo adds a dangerous expression that only tells more danger and torture for the spy. The spy is tied up on a chair with hands tied to the back, a bleeding head due to the hit and his legs tied up too.

The spy speaks through his clenched teeth, "Do your worst! I'm not telling you a thing. After all, I see through you all, you are desperate for information."

Reebabo gives him a resounding punch making his jaw shift. The spy shows pain in his face. "I'm not going to lie, we are desperate." Reebabo says this with his eyebrows raised and completes it with a whisper, "but we are also relentless, we have all the time here to cause you pain. I'm very aware of some ways of torturing you, that would not lead to murder."

The spy spits his blood on the floor and grins showing that he will not budge. Reelora goes closer to Reebabo and tells him, " Gangola can make up a truth potion but it can only work if the spy will talk." Reebabo gives Reelora an assuring look, "don't worry I will make him talk, you guys can go ahead with the potion though. After Reelora nods and leaves with Gangola. Theux walked towards the prisoner and bent to one of his toes. The prisoner as well as the Reebabo is confused as to what Theux is about to do.

Suddenly, flames emerged from the tips of Theux's fingers, slowly burning the flesh of the prisoners big toe. "Aargh",the prisoner and lets out a loud cry of pain and heavy breathing of endurance. Theux extends this to the second toe causing more loud cries. The smell of burning flesh fills the air as Reebabo grins just by the sight of pain in the eyes of the prisoner. "Ok! ok! I will talk, I will talk." The prisoner can clearly not take anymore of this. He began to speak with breaths of pain in between his sentence, "Seth, Seth sent me."

Reebabo and Theux give questioning looks to each other to show their cluelessness about who Seth is. "Who is Seth?" Reebabo asks. The prisoner hesitates as Theux is about to bring out more flames, he blurts out, "he is a scientist and a friend to Felix. They work together." Reebabo then asks, "And what does he want?"

"He is simply just trying to find you guys." The prisoners says this clearly still under pain from the two burnt toes.

"How did you know there was a portal where you found me. Obviously you were hiding in the bushes before I arrived back, you must have known by some source."

The prisoner looks more adamant to spill this precious source of information. Theux with his pupil as red as ever releases flames into the five toes. The prisoner screams out loud and before Reebabo can stop Theux, the prisoner goes motionless and dead. "He's dead", Cerberus raises his voice to remind them of his existence in the room. "You guys finally killed him, I guess that's all you could get from him. Well done."Cerberus adds with a sarcastic tone.

"Theux took it far", Reebabo said this with the look of a child that was being scolded.

Theux responds a little annoyed, "oh sorry, I didn't mean to help you out. I guess that's the appreciation I get."

"It's ok, no point arguing over this." Reebabo ends the bicker before it even starts.

By the time, Gangola and Reelora came with the potion. "Well there goes our time and efforts." Reelora throws her hands in giving up manner.

Cerberus finally speaks after a minute of silence, "I'll take care of the body, you all should go attend to the beings you called for training." He transforms to a human form. When the others were all at the entrance to the main hall, they hear Cerberus shouting to call their attention. "What! what!" Theux shout as they all arrived back in the room.

"This guy was bugged, he had wires on him. Whoever is behind this, was hearing the conversations." Cerberus has some already destroyed wires in his hands.

They all give looks of shame in their faces.

"I can't believe, we didn't check. Tell me you already destroyed it", Reebabo says with his hand on his head. "Yes, of course, but we didn't say anything that gave us away,right?" Cerberus adds.

"Enough of all this, we need to take action, by now they are planning to come and attack. Training those beings is essential more than ever." Reebabo said this clearly tired of the back and forth talk.

Reelora agrees with Reebabo, "He is right, we have to be fast too. Let's gather them quickly." After this statement, they all go to meet the five members of the task force that have been waiting for them.
