9 New Blend!

Guy left to go train his morning routine as Tenshi cleaned the cup and plate with cleaning gloves on, he thought of getting a mask too… but he felt like that was a bit much.

He was cleaning the cafe absentmindedly, thinking about those insane Tea prices… 4000 Ryo for a single cup of Tea! The size of an Espresso, so 6oz! This was madness!

You have to know, Ryo is essentially Yen, so the conversion rate was somewhere around 150 to the dollar. Simple calculations and it comes to 26.66$!

Tenshi sighed to himself, forget these big shots, his small cafe was enough with the prices it had… If he paid 26$ for a Tea, it better make him immortal! Otherwise what was the difference between that and robbing him at gunpoint?

A thought bubble was over his head.

He sat in a tea shop, tied up with cat ears on his head for some reason, as a big guy pointed a gun at him, saying 'Buy the Tea!' Tenshi looked unwilling.

Back to reality…

Tenshi cleaned up and went to dust the bookshelves when Kakashi walked in.

Tenshi looked over and smiled, "Kakashi-san, goodmorning." Kakashi waved and said "Can I have what you made yesterday?" Tenshi smiled gently and nodded, walking behind the counter and making him an espresso.

He put a bit more of the Chakra beans inside to make it stronger while grinding them as he said, "I'm using different beans today. Let me know if it's too sweet." Kakashi sat down and nodded, Tenshi continued speaking unexpectedly, "Guy-san told me that the Tea Shop down the street charges 4000 Ryo for a single cup! I can't believe it!"

Kakashi looked over and asked "It does? I don't drink Tea." Tenshi let out a breath and replied "Good! I don't like Tea either but… 4000 Ryo is just too much. You only get 6oz, how can this be a reasonable price? Oh, well, unless the Tea cures illnesses…"

Kakashi's lips twitched as he said slowly, "I don't think it does…" Tenshi shook his head and sighed, "These profiteers. Unbelievable." Kakashi looked amused and turned to the bookshelves, asking "Are those for everyone?"

Tenshi looked over and smiled, nodding "Mhm! Help yourself… Oh, right! If you have any recommendations for books to be added, just let me know, I'll try my best to find them…" he smiled gently, "I managed to get a copy of the new Make-Out Violence. There should be Make-Out Paradise there too. There's also 1984, Pet Semetary, It, Edgar Allen Poe's Poems, the History of Coffee, Grapes of Wrath, Nine Star Hegemon Body Arts, the Autobiography of Maurice Richard, and a couple dozen others…"

He tilted his head and smiled gently, "There's also the Watchmen Comic book. All of the Bone series, along with a few others… Other than the Watchmen, the rest are more for younger audiences. But if you like Romance there's a few at the back."

Kakashi's eyes lit up and he walked over to the bookshelves, he hadn't read Make-Out Violence yet! He looked at the other books and hesitated, Make-Out Violence or the others… he had never heard of any of these!

Tenshi looked over and said softly, "Kakashi-san, if I can recommend a few for you to read…" he looked at Make-Out Violence in his hand before smiling gently, "There should be the 50 Shades of Grey Trilogy as well as all the Twilight Books. Though, Twilight is about Vampires while 50 Shades of Grey is closer to Make-Out Paradise… Sort of…"

Kakashi was torn before finally deciding to read Make-Out Violence. He sat back down at the table as Tenshi added, "By the way, you can rent the book for a fee to take it with you but you'll have to bring it back. Or you can read it for free in here. The rental fee is only 200 Ryo." Kakashi turned to him and sighed, advising sincerely, "You really have to up your prices."

Tenshi pursed his lips and replied gratefully, "Thank you for your concern but if it's too expensive, it wouldn't be good. I don't really care about the money, I want to make a peaceful and relaxing place for people to wind down, that's all."

Kakashi looked at his gentle smile and sighed, shaking his head. A peaceful place with a gentle owner? In the Ninja World? This was impossible. But he did feel at peace here, mostly because of Tenshi's gentle temperament.

Tenshi poured Kakashi's coffee and placed the cup with a plate in front of him, smiling gently, "Enjoy." before pouring the rest into a larger cup. He swirled the coffee around and sipped it, smacking his lips before shaking his head and sighing.

Tenshi pooled all his coffee beans together. He took out a large bin and poured in a fresh bag of Chakra Coffee beans before pouring in half a bag of normal beans. He mixed them with new gloves before sniffing the blend.

He sniffed and frowned slightly, it was only a slight frown but because of his gentleness, it really made people worry that there was a big problem. Tenshi couldn't do anything about this, he looked more like his mother…

He continued adding the normal beans until he used 2 and a half bags.

Tenshi mixed the beans with his hands before sniffing and scooping a single scoop into the mortar. He grinded the coffee bean blend before making himself an espresso.

Tenshi swirled the coffee in the cup before sipping it. He smiled to himself, this was much better! Only a hint of sweetness!

He waved Kakashi over and poured him a new cup, asking "Can you tell me what you think?" Kakashi looked at the coffee and sipped it in the blink of an eye. Tenshi stared at the cup in shock, it didn't even move! He only noticed because there was less coffee than before!

Kakashi's eyes lit up and he said "Much better! The one I just had was too sweet. This one is much much better! Wow!" Tenshi smiled gently with a hint of happiness at the corners of his lips, he nodded and smiled, "This should be the right blend. Not too bitter, not too sweet, just right with a 73-27 split… Plus, it doesn't lose the Chakra contained within."

Kakashi paused and asked in surprise "There's Chakra in here?!" Tenshi looked at him and smiled happily, nodding "Mhm!" he pointed at the plant and explained "That's a coffee plant. In addition to sunlight, it'll absorb the Chakra in the air, storing most of it in its seeds, which are the beans."

He showed Kakashi the beans and smiled, "As the beans are grinded, the Chakra spreads around in the rest of the normal beans before dispersing into the coffee that you drink… Although, I suspect this has a surprising benefit at a cost…"

Kakashi looked at him as Tenshi added with embarrassment, "Normal Beans will make you expel toxins from your body… These ones are enhanced by Chakra… So…" Kakashi froze and Tenshi continued quickly, "But this should be good for you! It's very healthy to drink coffee every day or so! Of course, too many aren't good, but it's a natural laxative! Since the Chakra has been added, maybe there will be some unexpected benefits."

Kakashi let out a breath and said slowly, "Do you… have a bathroom here?" Tenshi looked troubled and gave him a key attached to a wooden carving of angel wings, saying pleadingly "Please don't make a mess, the thought of cleaning that bathroom." he covered his mouth and paled slightly.

Kakashi swallowed and took the key, disappearing in an instant, only leaving "I'll clean up." as he disappeared.

Tenshi replaced Kakashi's empty cup with the one he just sipped from before cleaning that cup with a troubled look on his face, hopefully he didn't make a mess…
