42 Itachi comes back

A while later

The Cafe was full of Root ninja, drinking coffee and chatting.

Tenshi looked at the two guys who walked in, they were wearing black cloaks with red clouds and huge hats.

Tenshi wiped his hands and smiled, "What'll it be today, fellows?" the shorter one said in a muffled voice, "Light Moka." the taller one looked at the menu and muttered, "Do you anything not so sweet?"

Tenshi nodded and smiled, "I'll prepare you something, sir. Not to worry." he made the Moka and a Half & Half as they went to sit down.

Karin walked over and smiled, "Would you like a pastry? We have doughnuts, biscuits, cakes, cookies, and the specialty Tiramisu from Falling Leaf Bakery in the Eastern Part of Konoha." The shorter one looked up, muttering "Tiramisu… Is it sweet?" Karin smiled happily, "The sweetest! It's my personal favorite!"

She turned and added "There's also plain doughnuts that are perfect for dipping in your coffee." The shorter guy said "I'll have a Tiramisu and he'll have a doughnut…" Karin nodded and walked away, "Haku! One Tiramisu and Doughnut!"

Haku looked over and nodded, getting two plates and a fork.

Karin brough the plates and coffee with a smile, "Please enjoy!" before walking away, humming to herself. The shorter guy took a piece of the Tiramisu and it disappeared under the large hat. He hummed, "So good…"

The taller man looked at him and sniffed the coffee before sipping it, licking his lips. He broke the doughnut in half before dipping it in the coffee and eating it. He paused before quickly eating the rest.

Tenshi smiled gently and continued making coffee for the constant stream of customers.

Kakashi walked in and paused, looking at the two cloaked figures.

He walked to the counter and said "That 'him'?" Tenshi looked at him in confusion "Who?" Kakashi pointed his thumb and Tenshi looked over at the two mystery guests, tilting his head as he looked at them, his eyes actually open all the way these days, "Itachi? Yeah that's him."

Before pushing Kakashi's Espresso out, humming to himself happily.

Kakashi sipped the Espresso at the counter, turning his head slightly.

Itachi glanced at him while eating the Tiramisu, saying softly "There's no fighting in the cafe…" Kakashi sat down at his table, saying coldly "That's what I should be saying. What are you doing here… Of all places."

Itachi fell silent for a few moments, "I… What happened, happened. I can't change it anymore. I didn't know before then otherwise-" he stopped talking and sighed to himself, drinking his coffee again.

The taller guy grabbed his sword handle, but Itachi grabbed his arm, squeezing tight as he said coldly "There is no fighting in the cafe. Understand?" the guy chuckled "Alright, alright, calm down…" Itachi let go of him and continued eating, saying to Kakashi "I'm not telling you my goals."

Kakashi frowned "You better start talking…" Itachi looked at him saying "Are you willing to risk it?" Kakashi frowned in silence… he was around 80% sure Itachi was bluffing about doing something to Tenshi.

Mainly because he really didn't think Itachi would want to do it.

But again, Kakashi wasn't sure. He frowned and said "After your coffee, outside." before getting up and walking to the Terrasse, watching them.

Itachi watched him silently, he was bluffing. He almost collapsed watching Aizami in Tenshi's arms, he blamed himself for that every day. He would kill himself before he even gave Tenshi a headache…

The reason he was so remorseful wasn't because he broke up a relationship… It was because that relationship was proof that the clan and the village could live in peace! His entire mission didn't have to be done!

If only he knew…

Itachi sighed to himself and drank his coffee quietly.

Tenshi rubbed his chin and looked at him before muttering to himself. He turned around and grabbed a bag of sugar.

He poured some sugar into a milk frothing jug before putting a bit of coffee from the start of the pour in. He took a spoon and mixed the coffee with the sugar intensely, then he filled the rest with more coffee.

He poured the coffee into a cup and looked at it before walking around the counter.

He came to Itachi and put the coffee in front of him, saying gently "Cuban Coffee, on the house." before walking away.

Itachi paused and looked at the new coffee, there was a layer of misty cream on top. The taller guy said in surprise "Hey, for free? I like this place." Itachi ignored him and looked at Tenshi's back, his angel wings folded up to take up less room.

Itachi sighed to himself and clenched a fist before relaxing sadly as he drank the coffee.

He closed his eyes and put the coffee down, very sweet… he liked it a lot…

The duo finished their coffees and desserts before leaving.

Kakashi followed them.

Karin came to the table and picked up the money, counting quickly "Ah!" she cleaned up and ran to the counter, "Boss! They left too much!" Tenshi looked at the bills and smiled, "It's 1800 Ryo for everything, you keep the change. It's a tip."

Karin smiled happily "Alright! Cool!" as she put 2200 Ryo in her pocket!

You know, she was only making 6000 Ryu a day! This was ⅓ of her daily salary!

As for Haku…

He still owed Tenshi!

It was another sad day for Haku…

As Kakashi, Itachi, and his pal left, the Root ninjas froze as Danzo walked in, looking at them all, his brain boiling with rage!

He clearly ordered them to capture Tenshi and Haku! Why were they all drinking coffee here and chatting happily?!
