After the passing of the year 3011,humans evolved into human-beasts. They slowly popped up everywhere in the world.having resources on Earth running out these huge evolvations started to feast on humans.

And I had nothing to do with this. Until most of humanity got wiped out.

[2 Years Earlier]

Cheng Cheng?

Huh? Cheng An thought, as he opened his eyes. He found himself laying on a lab bed surrounded by people in lab suits.Where am I mom? He soon realized he couldn't talk. Cheng An's mom suddenly hugs him and cried. As if Cheng An had almost died. His ankles and wrists were tied to the corners of the lab table using a sturdy kind of metal. He also felt unusually numb but also in pain. And he was fully naked, buck naked, and many people staring at him. The redness slowly crept up from his toes to his face, but he couldn't talk. He could not talk or move any part of his body.He could only listen to the mysterious people's blabberings and his mom sobbing beside him. Of course he chose to ignore his mom's crys since he honestly couldn't do anything about it. So he listened to the group of people's conversation.

Head doctor how will you explain this to the director? He wasn't supposed to regain consciousness until a month later.

I will not need to explain. We will just keep experimenting.

WITH HIM CONSCIOUS?

But experimenting on him while he is conscious is extremely risky. We have no idea if he still has his 5 senses or not. He could also feel pain. And die, Doc..

Since he is our first experiment it will leave a bad impression on other patients waiting to be experimented on.

No matter. We will go on experimenting, take the risk. If this succeeds even with him conscious we would have discovered something huge. Something that can go up against the human-beasts. It would be a greater discovery then when Company A in City number 509802 created advanced attack robots.

BUT DOC-

Yell at me again and your out of the team.

Yes sir.

You are all dismissed.

The Head Doctor then turned around and stared at me with his cold gaze. It sent a chill down my spine, despite being numb.

I stared back angrily.

Of course I had actual grudges against this Head Doctor guy, since I suddenly appeared here when I never wanted to be here. Technically abducted. How rude.

In the middle of the intense stare contest my stomach grumbled.

The doctor chuckled.

Then I found my mom telling me she'll get some food for me. I totally didn't forget about her. Honestly.

She ran out the door leaving me and the doctor alone in the room. Did you hear everything? I just stared at him. Since I honestly had no way to respond.

He continued talking.

Right now you are at a advanced human lab. You are our first test subject. We have injected a special liquid into your veins. They should've taken effect already. Your body should feel unusually numb.

I glared at him again. He stayed quite calm.

He then turned and went and got me another injection. He walked over and stared at me for a second.

...

I suspect we'll meet again. Goodnight.

Then he injected the strange liquid in me.

Ah, what a pity. I never got my food, Cheng An thought.

Cheng An opened his eyes again.

He was on his own bed in his own home.

He sat up but his body felt a bit numb.

I guess it was just a fairly long dream.

He went to the bathroom and brushed his teeth, pondering about the dream he had, since it was so strangely realistic.

He imagined his parents and siblings sitting on the sofa in the living room watching the hover car olympics on the television since it seemed like it was already late in the afternoon.

Until he heard a loud bang.

he hurried and gurgled the water, and drank some on accident since the ground rumbled.

He ran to the end of the hallway and saw, a human-beast. They were a medium sized being that had just been discovered. A large animal looking being that walked, talked and actually had the same intelligence as humans. A humanly beast.

The one he was looking at looked about 6-7 feet tall, one of the taller beasts. It looked suspiciously like a monkey.

My 2 older siblings threw many houseware and appliances while my Dad had took out a rifle from his military days. They were attacking the huge monster. But as they only made mere scratches and the beast wasn't even retaliating. A idiot could even tell that the way they defended themselves would not last at all whatsoever.

That hunch soon came true. My mom who had been trembling in fear right before the beast was grabbed and held down. She was so scared she fainted.

And I wet my pants are the sight of it. I knelt there. Scared out of my wits, and stared. I couldn't budge. It was as if, I was back in that dream. I just stared at them.

The beast started slowly chewing on my mom's legs.

Half an hour later he finished eating my mom. My dad went out of bullets and had stepped in front of my siblings hoping to protect them from the beast.

And then,

Half a hour later the beast finished my dad off.

And so on.

My siblings soon died.

Scared out of my wits I went and hid in the closet in my room.

when I stopped hearing the loud thuds I stepped out of the closet. And walked to my bedroom door.

I opened it.

And there was no beast by the door.

I felt relieved and stepped out of my room. when I went into the living room. The splattered blood seemed to have disappeared. But in truth the beast had went and licked it all off the ground and walls.

A greedy bastard.

He stared afar and tried to mourn for his family. But he couldn't. He could only think that it was lucky he wasn't the one dead. And then, he collapsed.

So at the young age of 13, Cheng An had witnessed his whole family get wiped out.
