2 women sat in a sitting room enjoying a bowl of fruits as they watched the presentation. Both had striking blonde hair, and the wrinkles on the other's face showed that the more energetic of the 2 was her daughter.
"Maria, what's your brother still doing in the room?"
"I thought he was so interested in this Unity".
"Who knows? And who cares? Bleh…" She spread her hands, forming a funny face defiantly as her mom sighed.
"Endrick!"
"Where are you? Your game will launch in an hour".

A few minutes ago, Endrick drowned inside his bedroom.
This was when a foreign soul invaded his body after the death of his real soul. Trapped in this body, Endrick felt himself drowning and suffocating yet he could do nothing about it since his whole body felt powerless.
He was regaining power by the second but it felt too long.
Despite not being able to do anything, he could hear the sounds echoing from downstairs as the presenter spoke on the news channel.
In this state, all sound was amplified to him.
He could also hear a strange woman's voice.
"Endrick!"
Endrick finally snapped to life.
Without even thinking, he rushed at the nearby wall and smashed the glass ball covering his head at it. Once the ball shattered, the water splashed everywhere, he could finally breath.
"Ha!"
"Ha!"
Endrick's breathing was rapid as he looked at the broken glass in horror.
"T-this…!"
"This mother*cker killed himself because of a social media prank?!"
Before he could speak further, he suddenly grabbed his head in pain and fell on the bed as it instantly adjusted to his size.
Endrick grabbed his head in pain as a lot of knowledge seemed to be forcefully infused in his brain, he bit his lips to prevent himself from screaming.
"Endrick…, are you ok in there?"
He was suffering from too much pain to reply.
A few minutes later, the pain finally subsided. Endrick opened his eyes again as only shock and realization now filled his face.
"I reincarnated". He stated the obvious.
"1000 years into the future?!" He asked the obvious in shock.
Through the memories of his host that just died, he knew everything about this world. Apparently, this was Earth 1000 years into the future.
This was a world that had advanced technologically far more than anything his era could achieve. Humans have not only met alien races, but they have been waging galactic wars against them for the past 5 centuries.
After so much death and destruction, they finally decided to come to a truce and the manifestation was in the new VR game called Unity.
"…" For a long time, Endrick just stood in shock.
'Are you for real?!' He finally screamed in his mind; he was going crazy.
'Yes, I've read reincarnation novels but nobody said it would be my turn one day. Reading it and experiencing it are so different man!'
Another ridiculous fact to him was the previous owner of this body who shared the same name and surname with him. Gustavo Endrick was a complete nerd, he spent majority of his time on the kinternet.
Having seen a viral Kik Kong post today that showed a prank of filling a large ball-like bowl with water and putting your head in to see how much you lasted, he decided to try it out while recording the whole sequence.
The outcome?
Well, the outcome was this, Endrick died, and another Endrick reincarnated.
'This guy's stupidity is beyond my impetus of comprehension'. He was flabbergasted by the ridiculous nature of this death.
Despite being flabbergasted, he recognized the risk. Before doing anything else, he walked forward, grabbed the galactic access phone and deleted the footage. After deleting it did he finally heave a sigh of relief.
"So what now? After reincarnating, what should I do?"
Almost instantly after he asked this question, a blue screen shimmered to life in front of him, almost spooking him into screaming in shock.

At this moment, the blue screen changed and after a brief display of colorful lights, a letter hovered in the middle of the display.
Endrick briefly looked around then he picked it. Instantly, the letter opened and instead of seeing a physical letter, words floated into his head.
"If you're hearing this it means that your reincarnation was successful".
"Congratulations lad, you'll do great".
"One more thing that I didn't tell you before, the most important reason why the reincarnation machine choose you is because of your drive to succeed at your profession. Try to replicate that in this world".
"In this world, you have an opportunity to start anew".
"This time, live it to the fullest without regrets".
"Achieve what you couldn't achieve in your previous life".
Instantly, one sentence and one word floated to Endrick's head. 'I want to become the G.O.A.T".
"Ahem…" He coughed and continued listening.
"In essence, like you just thought, become the G.O.A.T 1000 years into the future, that sounds interesting, doesn't it?"
Endrick frowned. "You can read my mind?"
"Hehe…"
"Answer me pervert!"
The voice no longer replied, the letter already ended.
'Damn, this is just so much to accept'.
Forcefully calming down, he paid attention to the blue screen again.

"What the hell are you still doing in? Unity will open in 30 minutes!"

"Ok". Endrick grabbed his trousers before rushing outside.
He was still unreconciled to the fact that his mother was still alive in this world, he dreaded meeting her and was why he ran away with his best friend, Jim.
He was curious though. 'This Unity…, is it that good?'
