2 Chapter 2

Let me tell you.

Having the mind of an adult man while your stuck in a childs body really does suck.

As I grew up, my mother, Sally, became the center of my world. I guess I never really acted like a baby, I was never one for kids' toys. I guess having the mind of an adult, you would feel quite insulted being asked to play with baby toys. I would spend most of my time simply watching everything silently as I would try and train my vocal cords and my muscles.

With such a weak body, I would have to train it from the ground up to be able to later withstand the military combat training I had gone through. I planned to retrain my new body with the training I had taken. I really couldn't do much in training my abilities at my age and I was told I would recieve my powers when I turned 5. The only thing that I could do was try and work on my body to get it stronger.

By seven months, I could finally walk. By ten months, I could finally talk, and it felt quite refreshing to speak instead of gurgling and making weird sounds.

<------------------------- >

When I turned 5 I recieved my abilities, turns out the three had some fun with my third wish as they had created a whole Conqueror System, Let me say that it was exactly what I needed.

Loading the Canqueror System... upgrading system.... scanning body....

I looked through the stuff and my god, they had so many items. Ranging from $1 to $100,000 points for the cheapest Legendary Weapon and items. These items and weapons were ranging from all over the multiverse, Heck they had Infinity Guantlet for sale for $100,000,000. Yeah not buying that.

I decided to buy a Recurve Bow, an Adamantine Sword, an adamantite Combat Spear, and a pack of Nectar and Ambrosia pills. A total of $5,843, While I was randomly scrolling through the different selections just seeing what else there was to buy when I heard the doorbell ring.

Sighing I got up and walked over to the door, opening it to see a beautiful woman with flowing midnight blue hair that reached her waist. She was tall with a feminine figure, and her hair was pinned back on the side with a wing-shaped hairpin. Her pale skin was contrasted by piercing emerald green eyes. Her attire was very formal—a white button-down shirt, a black pencil skirt, black stockings, and black high heels. I raised an eyebrow at the outfit but was amused.

"Hello, are you Perseus Jackson?" She asked coldly.

"Yes, I am. What can I do for you?" I responded, looking at her, feeling like I'd seen her before.

"Yes, please. Luckily you came at the right time. My mother is at work at the moment," I replied, gesturing for her to enter.

Brunhilde's gaze swept over me, her scrutiny sharp and unwavering. "The body of a child and yet you speak like an adult," she remarked, her tone laced with skepticism as she settled onto one of the couches.

I couldn't help but chuckle at her observation, a hint of amusement dancing in my eyes. "Guess I've had to grow up fast," I quipped, taking a seat opposite her.

"Your joke is not that funny, besides I know that you are not the soul housed this body."

"Alright... so what is this really important message?" I asked sighing as I looked at her.

"The Apocolypse will begin in 20 years, this world will follow the same plot of the stories you read. The Titan War followed by the Giants War. You will be given free reign to do whatever you wish."

"Great...." I drawled as I looked at her. "I thought that was part of the whole 'I control the Fates' wish."

"..., lets put it like this," Brunhilde sighed. "Even if you can control the fates you would still be quite limited, for example. Not being able to do much besides what the 'original' Percy did in the books."

"Oh, so they are saying that I can do things outside the book, per say?" I responded.

"Correct."

"Great, anything else?"

"Yes a gift from them to you." she extended her hand, palm upturned, a small ornate box materializing before my eyes as if conjured by magic itself. With trembling fingers, I reached out to accept the mysterious offering, the box's surface adorned with intricate designs that seemed to pulse with an otherworldly energy. I opened the lid and my breath hitched.

I gazed upon the ring nestled within the confines of the box, its surface gleaming with a mesmerizing sheen. The golden Greek designs that adorned its circumference seemed to dance with a life of their own

"What is it?" I asked, my curiosity piqued as I raised the ring up looking at it closer.

"It's a ring," Brunhilde replied, her tone flat looking at me as if I was stupid.

I couldn't help but shoot her a deadpan look, a hint of sarcasm coloring my voice. "Oh, really? I couldn't tell."

A soft sigh escaped Brunhilde's lips as she leaned forward, her emerald eyes gleaming with a mixture of reverence and intrigue. "This is the Cardinal Gear, Atlan," she explained. "An artifact of the gods, bestowed upon you as a gift. It can store any weapon you choose to wield."

"Wait, seriously?" I whistled in amazement. "That is so healpful!"

"Yes, anyways the ring is now bonded to you, it has several abilities you will have to discover yourself."

"Wow, thanks a lot, Brunhilde," I responded already storing the weapons I had bought earlier inside the ring. I watched them vanish from my hand the second they touched the ring, and I practiced bringing them back out, lets just say that I was having some fun with it.

Brunhilde gave a small nod in response, her expression unreadable as she rose gracefully to her feet. With a final glance in my direction, she made her way to the door, her presence fading into the shadows like a whisper on the wind.

I watched her departure as I closed the door and returning my weapons back into the ring I got exited at what the future held. I will soon have to plot out what I need to do, use my klnowledge of the series to somewhat plan out my next steps.
