8 chapter 8

I woke up in the hospital and lin was by my side she said "good your awake, it's been 6 days since you passed out, you've been overworking yourself, at least you got Amon and saved korra from getting her bending taken away". I noticed that my stitches were replaced and some new ones as well. I said before I went back to sleep "goodnight"

I woke up the next morning feeling well rested, I've tried to be a good person in this life but I have hundreds of lives on my hands. Those bombs did most of the work but a better question is did the maker of the sword kill the warriors or did the wielder of the sword take those lives.

~One eternity of hospital stuff later~

I was discharged from the hospital after a 4 and a half week stay, I also had covers amounts of physical trauma to be dealt with. They gave me a crutch and hobbled downtown he stairs with lin making sure I didn't fall.

We drove home, I walked into my room and laid down on my bed and noticed the amount of dust that collected, it was not right someone had been in here. I didn't pay mind to it but I might wanna use the light Yagami method just to make sure some one had entered my room.

I had a an ungodly amount of drawings for future inventions. I would give them to Su when we went to Zouafu in season three.

If she rejected them I would go to the earth queen and sell them to her.

My doctor ordered me to rest for the next week then I can start doing easy things and ditch the crutch. Season two starts 6 months after Amon is killed but he was captured in this world, same day though.

I was in the hospital for a month meaning I had around 5 months but the time period might be different because the Equalists happened later about on one a half months late so maybe 3 maybe 4 months.

What should I do, I had already drew all if my ideas maybe I could sell them to Sato industries, they were dying though and I might finish them off if they purchase any of my ideas. I could save Sato industries by selling my stuff to the earth queen and giving some of that money too Sato industries.

I rested for the rest of the day and fell asleep, when I woke up I got out of bed and got ready to meet with Asami. I walked out the door but lin pulled me back and said "no you don't, you need rest" I responded "I need some money, I was gonna give these inventions to Asami then she could sell it to the earth queen on my behalf and give me a large portion of the money"

I started speaking again "OR I could loan some money from Asami and then set up a factory and sell my weapons to the earth queen" lin looked at me and said confused "why the earth queen?" I replied "she's a tyrant and these inventions could arm non benders, and the earth kingdom has many non benders and many people"

She nodded and said "how about you lay down and I go to work" I nodded back then laid down. She was right if I went to Asami's mansion or Sato industries I would probably pass out again.

I got in my pajamas and hit the hay. I woke up in a cold sweat in the middle of the night. I couldn't got to sleep so I found a book and started reading.

~2 and a half weeks of resting and reading later~

I was finally fit enough to go back to the police, I walked to the police station without any crutches or any other assistance but I still had a limp which may be permanent. I stumbled up the stairs and followed lin to her office where I did the usual and wrote down notes.

My birthday was in 2 days, when I reached the age of 18 I could be a proper police man. I drew a sketch of a revolver instead of writing to pass the time. I also thought about maybe not becoming a weapons merchant but I threw those out the window. The day passed and I went home, in this time I was still getting my money from Sato industries.

I had around 30000 yuan and I might be able to set up my gun factory with that, It was late and I knew the dangers of walking in the dark but I still walked to Asami's mansion. I walked the entirety of the town and I got to Asami's mansion.

I talked to the guard who radioed someone and then he let me through and said to just walk in. I walked up the hill and then knocked on the front door the size of a elephant, Asami answered and asked "what has you here so late"

"I've got some ideas and I need a factory but I know that your company is kinda going under because of your father so I want my own company, I've got 30000 yuan and some ideas" I said while limping in and she replied "thanks for the compliment about my company, show me these ideas"

I handed over the briefcase I had which was filled with my ideas, mainly guns though. She said Wille gasping "these ideas, these are weapons of mass destruction, I don't know about this, but your thermite invention is helping keeping this company afloat so I know a cheap factory, this 'jet' plane seems like a good idea"

I didn't know the exact steps to a jet but I had the right idea, we had a conversation about my new company, she said she would invest in it as long as she gets to use my jet idea. She told me to come back tomorrow and we would go to my new factory which I just bought for 20000.

She didn't tell me the address which was odd but I didn't pay mind to it. She drove me home and I walked in and went fast to sleep. I woke up and got ready and then walked with lin to the police headquarters.

Yesterday I forgot my uniform but today I remembered, it's been a long time since I wore this and it reminded me how comfy it was. I did the usual but today was different I would be promoted to an actual officer and have my own cubicle.

Lin walked me to my new cubicle and I sat down, she gave me a run through of what I had to do today which was nothing really, my main job was to capture criminals as a metal bender then do paper work about it. Some people gave me looks about the side of my face which had some burn scars from the gunpowder accident.

Burns from gunpowder only happen when your right next to the gunpowder the moment it goes off so I don't know how I got the burns. The burn wasn't to bad only the lower right side of my face below my cheek bone, I didn't mind them and continued one writing on the papers until my day was finished.

I went directly to Asami's mansion and the guard let me in with out even a question. I knocked on the door and mako answered, I thought they had broken up at this point. I told him I was here to see Asami and he screamed for her.

She came from down a massive hallway, I asked "so you said you would show me to the factory, that I paid for" she replied "oh yeah" then Mako interrupted and said "can I tag along"

I nodded and we all loaded up in Asami's car along the way mako asked "so, uh, what happend to you" I was surprised he didn't know, I spoke clearly "I had an idea for a highly explosive mixture and I got a lab some workers and some supplies from Sato industries, I made the powder then me, a fire bender, and Horioshi were behind a thick metal wall, the fire bender was only there because I needed to start the fire from range and having a fire bender was most efficient the moment the powder went off I realized it was far stronger then anticipated and it blasted right through the wall and through the wall I made in the split second, I threw the fire bender back and I did the same with Horioshi, then I woke up in the hospital."
