LBF Chapter 2 Battle of Demigods

"I am going to slaughter you!" A voice came from the center of the place where the cube used to be. It was filled with murderous intent so thick that, it turned this entire area gloomy.

What appeared in front of him was something dark and sinister, incomprehensible in nature, but with a dark robe covering it up and two pale white flames burning where the stomach was supposed to be. Any light that entered into the darkness sank in without being reflected back.

"I see...you are from the Kizikiza race. Mmm...so you must be demigod Pale white, right?" The red haired man wasn't fazed by the sinister atmosphere at all.

"Demigod-blood! I-dont-care-about-the-exaggerated-rumors-about-you! I-am-going-to-destroy-you!" Every word had a particular emphasis put on it. The life form had truly been enraged!

"I am getting bored of you." Demigod blood, the crimson eyed man said, after which, he made a gesture with his hand causing the floating red drops to head towards the man using him as the center.

'If this is enough to take you down, then you will be considered trash.' The red eyed man thought indifferently.

Crack!

As the droplets were about to envelopop demigod Pale white, a black air current surged out of his body with him as the center and all the blood droplets became trapped as it solidified instantly!

'Demigod Pale White, leader of the Pale pirates. His nascent divinity is parasitic black ice. Never get into contact with that ice! Even a demigod would be in peril if over half their body is sealed in it.' The red eyed man conjured up the information from his mission as the black mass of ice continued expanding.

"Interesting!" A grin appeared on the lips of the red haired man. He made a gesture, pulling back all the blood drops that hadn't yet been encased in the black ice. Except for the ones which had pierced through the cube and become turbid, ever drop of blood converged on his right hand and formed a crystalline blood red sword, three meters in length.

It was like a gem, and its hilt alone almost reached half a meter in length.

He raised his hand and slashed down, causing a blood red vertical arc to cut through the block of black ice until it reached demigod pale white. The life from only tapped out with its dark mist-like body causing the slash to dissipate. The red slash had already exhausted plenty of its energy just to cut through the ice.

But the moment that Demigod blood had unleashed the strike, he had also followed behind it in the form of a red streak!

The walls of the black ice which had been slashed apart, merged back at half the speed of light, but still, a red streak had managed to pass through the gap appearing in front of demigod Pale white in an instant!

The area, a few meters around the demigod wasn't filled with black ice, but a black cold mist.

"Don't dissapoint me." With a grin plastered on his handsome brown face, showing off his white teeth, demigod blood materialised right in front of Pale white!

The long crystalline crimson sword in his hands was being held by his stomach, going in for a thrust!

A red beam of light flashed, the thrust had approached light speed! But demigod Pale white took a step to the side causing the thrust to miss by inches!

A long black staff formed in his right hand. The hand wasn't very visible, it fluctuated, like smoke, but the staff was solid.

Ripples formed in the space as a horizontal sweep was launched towards demigod Blood's waist!

Demigod Blood pulled back his thrust and blocked, but the force of the strike pushed him away until he collided with the wall of ice, causing gigantic cracks to manifest.

Right now they were enclosed by the black ice, only leaving behind a sphere with a diameter of a kilometer inside. The black ice had grown to the size of an asteroid!

"I am going to make sure that your life ends in this space!" Demigod pale white shouted and his body vanished, only to reappear infront of demigod Blood, whose body was lodged in the ice.

The black ice was growing, trying to assimilate him, but he turned into a crimson blur racing away. The black staff collided with the ice, creating more fissures, but they were still healing at a fast speed.

"Why aren't you using your strongest moves?" Demigod Pale white asked while his body vanished to reappear in the area where demigod Blood had dodged to, only for a horizontal slash to greet him. He parried it and the two continued to exchange multiple strikes, each more vicious than the other! They were attacking at tricky angles.

Demigod Pale white even formed multiple other weapons which he controlled with his consciousness to put the pressure on demigod Blood. But the man didn't even try to create more weapons to counter demigod Pale white's strategy! He only defended and attacked with his trusty long sword.

Their weapons were formed from their nascent divinities, so they were even tougher than diamond, by a few million times!

Demigod Blood, who appeared to be at a disadvantage, didn't have a single frown marring his face. Instead, his eyes were getting brighter and brighter with each collision, and his grin was widening at the same time!

'This is fun! 51 long years haven't been wasted!' That happy thought passed through demigod Blood's mind while exchanging moves with his opponent.

"Why are you grinning?" Demigod Pale white called out in alarm! His mind birthed a trace of cautiousness due to that grin.

Even when demigod blood has his mouth stretched to its utmost limits, he still didn't let up on the attack, on the contrary, his attacks started getting fiercer ane fiercer!

"Hmph! You are more skilled at melee combat! I will admit to that, but..." Demigod Pale white said, before a large amount of black cold mist came out of his body and inundated the entire sphere of free space.

Demigod Blood, who had been enjoying the exchange retreated all the way to the edge, close to the wall of ice. His face, which had had a grin, morphed into an expressionless one.

"It looks like I also have to get serious." He said. A red crystalline gem, in the middle of his heart, which had been dull before lit up with a blinding crimson light. The light spread to his body, lighting it up from the inside.

TRIVIA

...the universe was changed forever. Every thing with a consciousness was forced to have a string made out of one of the seven elements which had appeared in the rewritten universe. Over half of all the lifeforms in the universe either died due to the forceful appearance of the elemental strings in their body, or evolved to a higher state. The elements were wood, water, earth, fire, wind, light and darkness, respectively.
