20 The Chain Mission

Argo had overtaken Kenny for a while, and had completed more than half of the 20 kilometers, his speed had not decreased!

Behind Argo could be seen three individuals. Just, Kenny and Harry who were fervently chasing after him. The distance between them was increasing ever so slightly.

Kenny cursed and swore. Even if he used his ass to think, it didn't make any sense! How could this bastard be running so fast? And stamina! Shouldn't he be exhausted right now?

The distance between the four of them and Adah had widened to the size of an uncrossable gulf. She had slowed to almost a crawl. In her mind, she gave kind words of greetings to Argo's grandparents and ancestors. She watched speechlessly as Argo ran comfortably in the first place. "Sigh, comparison is the thief of joy." She shook her head. She could feel in her heart how this training exercise had become an intense competition.

After half the distance had been completed, the body would usually be overcome with fatigue. The more one rushed at the beginning, the stronger the effects of fatigue. This was not something that could be overcome with mere willpower, this was a physical constraint.

Kenny gritted his teeth, following which he rushed forward explosively, unexpectedly increasing his running pace. I am the best! He roared inwardly as he rushed towards Argo with large strides.

Although he was panting like a fish out of water, Harry also increased his speed silently. Seeing Kenny sprinting like that, he was absolutely ferocious. Jared however, was different; he had a certain grace to his running. A phrase came to mind 'As lithe as a panther'

At this point in time, Argo was slightly panicking. He had reached the limits of his speed. With his current stamina, he had no problem running from now till evening. The problem was that he could only run this fast.

Originally, he had only wanted to be first to piss off Kenny and also satisfy his ego. Yet who would have thought bthat the system would issued him a chain mission right after he started sprinting. If he wanted to continue the series of missions, he had to run faster! he had to win this race. Hence he tried a but harder.

BAM!

Dust and smoke were kicked up from the floor. Argo's blood started to pump faster, and his feet looked like he was flying. What slowing down? In a short moment he had once again increased the distance between him and the three chasing him down.

8 minutes later...

Argo had finished the 20 kilometer run.

The entire field was silent. Even Adah stopped running and gaped at Argo in shock. The group in the control room stared blankly. Was this guy even human? What kind of speed and stamina did he have?
