3 The Announcement

'Ohh… its payback time!'

Argo stood up abruptly causing the bulky guy stepping on him to nearly fall on the floor.

CREAK! CRACK!

Argo cracked his knuckles and neck. The bulky guy sneered upon seeing this thinking that Argo was trying to scare him again.

BAM!

The bulky guy took the initiative to throw a punch at Argo. He wanted to beat down this stubborn guy and make him stay down, unfortunately for him it was his turn to feel despair as Argo easily caught his fist and clenched.

Crack!... Aarrgh!

The bulky guy screamed as he felt the bones in his fingers break. The lean guy turned pale at the sound of the bulky guys scream, he knew exactly how powerful the bulky guy was. Anyone powerful enough to make him scream was not someone he could handle.

"W...w…what are you trying to do? Boss Kenny will never let you go if you do anything to us"

"Oh yeah? Tell Kenny I'm coming for him soon… as for you? Hehe"

Argo chuckled evilly as he broke the bulky guy's wrist making him scream out in pain. He then walked towards the lean guy causing him to break out in a cold sweat.

The lean guy took two steps backward and turned around wanting to run away but Argo was faster than him and caught up in a step. He grabbed the lean guy's arm and twisted it hearing a satisfying crunch sound.

The lean guy fainted immediately from the pain, causing Argo to feel speechless.

Where was your balls man, just a little pain and you're passed out. Pui… what a pussy.

Argo immediately went home casting the little drama out of his mind.

Fifteen minutes later…

Argo returned home. He was shocked after he opened the door. Socks and clothes were everywhere and it smelled like the garbage hadn't been cleaned for days.

Argo, feeling hungry, wanted to cook noodles only to find out that the only thing old Argo had in his cupboard was a packet of expired biscuits.

"What kind of life had I been living?"

Argo rubbed his forehead, feeling sorry for himself. Who would have thought that the father of the Tiger general would have fallen so low?

Having no other choice, Argo clicked on his smartwatch, a mini computer with the ID of the user. Practically everyone had one. After checking his balance, Alex blew his top. Not only was he pathetic, he was also poor. He had only less than a hundred bucks in his account.

"Am I going to starve to death?" Argo sighed as he ordered noodles online.

After having his meal, Argo sat cross-legged and swallowed the Mana gathering pill.

BOOM!

He immediately felt like there was a blackhole in the room with him in the center sucking in all the surrounding elemental mana and spiritual energy.

What a marvelous feeling! Argo was feeling amazed at what he was feeling. As time went on, the floating spiritual energy in the air flowed into his body and fortified him. He quickly entered a meditative state.

One night passed quickly.

Early the next morning, Argo opened his eyes and exhaled deeply. He was feeling more refreshed and energetic than he had ever been. He could also feel the difference in his body, his bones felt strong and he felt lighter.

Huh?

Argo opened his eyes wide as he remembered something he forgot.

His reward! He had obviously completed his first mission but he had not received his reward yet.

"Hey bloody system, where's my reward? I completed the mission since yesterday. Are you keeping my reward from me"

[Ding. You never asked]

…This bastard… Argo felt like cursing but he was interrupted by…

Argo could faintly feel himself growing stronger, but he didn't focus on it as he needed to take a shower and start heading to school if he didn't want to be late.

At the gate of Hitachi high school, three students were seen walking into the school. Two of them were surprisingly the bulky guy and the lean guy that were beaten up by Argo the day before. They now appeared to be fully healed which was nothing surprising as most wounds could be healed by using healing magic, assuming you could afford it.

The two men were clearly nervous speaking to the guy in the middle.

"Boss Kenny, that was exactly what he said. We don't know how he got that powerful or maybe he was just hiding his power previously"

The guy in the middle, who we now know as Kenny Lee frowned. He found it a bit strange. Now one could endure the humiliations he had unleashed on Argo if they were as powerful as his lackeys told him he was. He wasn't worried though, he was sure he could beat Argo with both hands tied behind his back.

"Whatever… I heard that the principal is going to make an important announcement to the third year students. Its going to be about our awakening and the college entrance exams. You lot should do well so as not to embarrass me later" Kenny Lee said as he walked forward with his head held high like a prince.
