Behind the door.

Sasha was angry on herself and the Chief Inspector. She had a guilty conscience, as she never thought of herself to forget his principles in pressure from the higher ups.

She burst out of the room and went out. She didn't even feel like seeing the others, especially William as he was the one with the plans.

Lee exited the station. After walking out of the station he felt empty. He found himself to be aimless. After he ran away from home, he thought he would be a police officer, but now even that has been lost.

As it was still day broadlight with sun high up on the sky, he thought the best thing to do which normally people wouldn't do.

He felt like this was best way to spend the time. He stopped a taxi and told the driver to drive around the city.

The driver was happy to have a passenger like that as he would get lot of fare.

While Lee was thinking of ways to spend time, Sasha was walking to and fro in her office. She had a guilt conscience and along with that she had to report to Chief Han. As he told her to look after Lee.

But instead of looking after him, due to her and the rest they made Lee resign. Though unknown to them, Lee had the plans to resign too.

She with a heavy heart took her phone and called him.

"Hello."

"Chief Han, this is Sasha speaking."

"Aah, tell what you called me for?"

"Umm Chief Lee resigned. It was our fault."

Sasha said on what they did and after which Lee resigned. After saying it all she felt a little light as if a bit of the burden was out of her. As she was getting herself prepared for the harsh tone of Chief Han.

Instead Chief Han laughed as if he was hearing a wonderful news. "Oh you guys did a really good job. I was thinking on how to get him fired. But still you guys are really bold aren't you. If his elder knew about it, I don't know how you guys would suffer."

Sasha was shocked hearing Chief laugh but she knew it was due to some other reason.

"I didn't knew it would go that far, chief Inspector Hubbard wanted to put all the blame on Lee to get rid of future problems which may affect his career."

Sasha sighed and expressed her opinion.

"Don't worry, he would suffer soon. ok then I have some work to do."

"Bye chief."

Sasha ended the call. Though the chief didn't say much she guessed that chief Inspector would go through problems soon.

*ring ring*

Lee who was blanking out of the taxi looking at the roads suddenly heard his phone ring. He then looked at the number which waa Nick and muttered, "must be about Brandon. Hope it is solved."

"Hey Nick, you got your job done."

Lee sighed in relief after hearing it, " Thanks Nick, sorry if you got into problem."

"Don't worry it was just a small problem which wouldn't affect me. You should know me, even if I am in Probation, I still have some contacts."

"Yaa you sure do, after all I am one of those contacts aren't I." Lee laughed at Nick's boasting, but he knew Nick didn't lie.

Suddenly Lee felt whether to say it to Nick, afterall they joined police at the same time. But he already resigned while Nick had a bright future. Lee could only wish him luck, " Good luck on your career Nick."

"Hey what are you saying? What's with this wish. Anyway Brandon took your number so he might call you soon. Bye Gotta go."

"Sure See ya." Lee smiled wryly, as he wasn't able to say it to Nick.

Lee checked his phone again and saw Adam calling. Adam must have gotten the news which was why he called Lee. But Lee didn't have the mood to talk now.

After that he wandered around malls and even started talking selfies which was not like him. He didn't even know what he was doing.

After a lot of time spending around, it turned evening. He thought of going to his room as he had enough of this.

*ring ring*

Looking at the unknown number he guessed that it must be Brandon. So he picked up the call.

"Thanks Lee for helping me. I will never forget this favour of yours." Without even waiting for Lee to respond he thanked Lee. Lee knew he must have suffered.

"Lee do you time, my parents was asking me if you could come to my home for dinner."

"Well, how about some other day. I have come to far and it would be late till I get to your home. Say thanks to your parents on my behalf. "

"Ok then lets just meet somewhere. My treat."

"Anyway, I am hungry so just send me the address."

Lee then checked hia phone and got the address. After that he took a ride and went to the destination.

When he arrived he saw that it was Katz. He entered the restaurant and soon saw Brandon. He went and took a sit. " Hey Brandon you are fast."

"Oh, I was nearby. Thanks again Lee. You never told me you were in police." Brandon thanked him.

"Not a big deal, friends are there to help anyway. Don't worry I am a civilian now. I resigned or you can say fired. well both are same." Lee accepted his thanks and as he was hungry so he called for a waiter.

"What happened, your friend told me that both of you just joined and now you are out?" Brandon was shocked as just this morning he heard from Nick that Lee was in police at midtown precinct south.

Lee didn't want to say about it so he just said that he didn't like it much. Brandon hearing Lee's words knew that he didn't want to say. So he just told the waiter to bring the food.

"So Brandon is all ok now, I mean about your problem."Lee asked Brandon about his problem.

"Well, it's all ok now. Just had a fallout with a neighbor and in anger did all that." Brandon said and also told Lee that he was in wrong too, to act in anger.

The waiter soon brought the dish which had two meat platter. As Lee was too hungry so he digged in. He had a rough day with all happening at the same time so in that he forgot to eat.

After they finished their food, Brandon paid and they exited the restaurant. As Brandon brought his car, he offered Lee to drop him off at his room.

Lee agreed as it was better than spending on taxi. Brandon drove and and after reaching a distance he asked, "So what are you gonna do now."

Lee thought about it a bit and said, "Maybe get back to my old job as an uber driver or join some security services"

Even Lee didn't know anymore what to do. And he couldn't get the system's help as it would be dead for a day due to its upgrade.

"I will take a rest for a week. That'll be better, I think I have enough money to survive." Lee said to Brandon and he decided to go with this as he had worked really hard for a month.

Brandon nodded and soon they reached Lee's room.

"Thanks for dropping me off. later."Lee got off the car and bid Bye to Brandon.

Brandon then said that he wouldn't be able to meet Lee for the next week at the gym as he wouldn't go there for some time.

Lee walked towards his room. As he was already 8 pm he decided to shower and surf the net for job. Even if he planned to rest for a week, he still needed to search for job.

As lee took out his key to unlock the door, he stopped. After getting an expert level skill in lockpicking, Lee always kept the plug in the cylinder of his door lock a bit turned to a side.

But as he was about to open the door he found the plug to be straight unlike before. Which could mean only one thing.

"Someone has entered my room and seems like he is still inside." Lee muttered to himself, he knew that it must have been some expert as there wasn't any dent or force opening the door open or any lockpicking sign.

"Who is it!"
