A Month

Sasha was a Captain after all. She didn't knew about others, but she was fair in his work.

Hearing the words, she coldly looked at William. After all if her second-in-command was that irresponsible, her future mission would be jeopardized. "Thankfully, we got 3 suspects or else..."

Though she didn't finish her word everyone knew that she was angry. After all who would trust her with a underling like that.

Everyone looked at William. His face was dark, as a child of some big family who would scold her. But he knew that he couldn't do anything to Sasha.

So he turned all this blame to Lee and muttered to himself, "just you wait."

Watching at the cold atmosphere, one of the officer came up to Sasha and said, "Captain I think we seal up the area now and send the suspects to the station."

"Ok you guys seal off the area and keep two officers here. Adam, you and Lee take the 3 suspects to the station."

Sasha said to the officer to seal the area and then told Adam to send the suspects to the station.

"Ok Captain."

Adam then brought the other suspect to the their car. Lee then drove towards the station.

Finally getting away from that Adam sighed and said, " Lee you know you are still in probation. One mistake can fire you. You kid should listen to me now."

"I know it but I have my principles. I would never sigh away if someone accuse or blame me for things, which i haven't done."

"Well at most I will lose my job. If I do, call me if you need me to pick you up."

Lee chuckled and started to advertise himself. After all he also felt that this job is just not for him. And likely William will target him.

"Pick me up. What were you, a taxi driver?" Adam said in a playful tone. Cause he would never expect Lee to be a driver. After all from what Adam saw, Lee was highly from some good background.

"Woww. How did you know. I never told you this."

Adam was tongue tied this time. He asked again to confirm, "Don't tell me you were a taxi driver before this job."

"Yaa, I left just before the recruit training. I miss that carefree driving around."

Adam was really doubtful in his observation skills now.

Soon they reached the station. After that both took the suspects and handed them to the others. They then separated and went to their home.

Lee unlocked the door and went inside his room. When he saw the time it was almost 12 a.m midnight.

So he just changed his dress and went to sleep.

The Next morning.

The sky was clear with sun just out in the east. There was chill in the wind. Lee was running with a tracksuit on, he was running neither fast nor slow.

After reaching the park, he straightly went to the gym. He didn't see many people, which might be due to it being too early and cold.

Lee thought of his workout today. So he did 3 sets of pushups and pullups. After which he did crunches, burpees and dips which warmed his body. As ir was cold so he tool time to warm up his body.

He then went for barbell workouts like yesterday. At last he took a bit heavy weight barbell and did squats.

When he kept his barbell he saw Brandon entering the gym. He saw Brandon wave and come to him.

"Hello Lee, you are early today?"

Lee kept the barbells and stretched out. "well, it's more like you are a bit late today."

Brandon chuckled, "Maybe due to the chilly weather. You finished your workout?"

"Yaah. I did my routine for today. Bye then. See ya."

As Lee had to practice parkour too. So he bid bye to Brandon and left.

Lee did the same routine as yesterday with more precision. As simple jumps was already thing he was able to do just he didn't have practice.

Days passed by. As Lee got more into his workout and parkour. He steadily improved, though not much as gaining or leveling up his skill. But he still was able to do it moee precisely.

He also got more Familiar with Brandon. He found Brandon to be easygoing and nice person. So they started to do workouts together. As working out with a partner and helper is more better.

Though his work at station was all the same. After that night his relation with William turned cold nor was he called for something like that night.

As days passed by, he didn't feel the thrill anymore, nor did he hear from his system. It turned like it was just a imagination of his. But his skill proved otherwise.

Soon a month passed by since he started his job. He also got his salary for the month which he was really happy with.

"So Lee when will I get my treat. It's your first salary, you gotta treat me. Afterall wasn't it you leeching me off the past month."

Adam complained, as he wasn't given treat yet.

"Sure, how about tomorrow. But i didn't get much so we have to eat something cheap."

Lee agreed to Adam's complaint. Adam helped him a lot, its just that he didn't have enough.

"Don't worry, the thought and stomach matters."

Adam laughed as Lee agreed and he didn't mind cheap, at this time who doesn't go through this phase during his career start.

But Adam always felt that Lee might not be permanent in this. Although he did his job really well, but he never saw the drive anymore. He only saw it when there's something to do like catching, apprehending suspects and thief.

"So Lee what do you want become in future I mean which track you will go for. Supervisory or investigative?."

Adam asked Lee. All officers will need to go through a choice of track. Some becomes detective while others handles the office work.

" mee... I don't know anymore. I don't even know what I am doing anymore."

Lee gave lethargic reaction and replied.

Adam could only put an awkward face at his reply. Suddenly Adam remembered he never asked about his family. "So who are there in your family. Any siblings."

Hearing Adam's question, Lee's eye dropped and turned sad, "I'm alone."

Adam saw his face when he replied so he knew that it was something big. So he didn't ask about it anymore.

Lee thought a bit about his past. After some reminiscing, he put his sad away and smiled and asked Adam, "So when are you gonna take me to your home. You should invite your colleague at least."

"Why don't you invite me first before asking me."

Adam fired back at his question.

Lee just smiled, "I stay in a rented room who would wanna invite someone there anyway."

"ok ok.. Just wait. I will soon don't worry."

Adam helplessly agreed to Lee.

"Lets just do the rounds and leech from you tomorrow. "

"You sure wish. Don't worry, I will feed you till your stomach burst."
