26 Chapter 26

"Umm.. just travelling."

"Oooh you are a traveller?" He asks and has a surprised look on his face.

"Indeed I am"

"So what did you do before that? I mean before travelling." He asked while taking the clearly empty plates and bowl that was in front of me. Thank you.

"Well I did not leave the job, it is just that I am travelling at the same time." What an excuse I came up with. But it is still convincing, sort of.

"Oh really? What wer- are you doing then?" He corrects himself.

"I am a blacksmith."

"Oh that is indeed a surprise! And a coincidence. The Ciciona village is in need of a blacksmith right now. The old man fell ill, poor guy. Maybe you could take the offer and do his job, help them out."

"Oh yeah that. Yeah I did take the job. Figured I could benefit from it. I started today."

"Oh that is a great news. I am sure the people there will be delighted."

I nod and find my way to wash my hands.

I get back to the counter to pay. I open my wallet and pay for the delicious food that I just had. While waving I say goodbye to the shopkeeper and close the front door behind me, the bell made a chime at both times. Now I was outside.

It is not that hot at this time though. Talking after eating that food really filled my energy. I do not think I will get tired today that easily.

I walk through the streets, and it seems to be quieter than before. I just came here a little a while ago and it already is this quiet. The streets are not even as crowded as before. Maybe this is the time when people go back home.

Although the shops seem to be up and running. Hmm.

That reminds me I need to know if I can get some things from this town before I depart from the village. I can't stay at the village for too long, eventually I will have to leave so, I thought I would just show myself out of there after completing the blacksmith job that I currently have on my hands.

What will I need? Ryo.

Wow, you are right. How could I forget that? Thank you Ryo.

*You are welcome. Mmmmm*

Are taking a nap?

*Yeah sort of. I am resting*

Well then I will let you take a break. I will carry on with finding some good tools and maps that I could use.

I roam around and search for a place where I could something like a map. Where do you get maps anyway? I am not going to buy it now but it would be reassuring to know where I can get it, though.

I go to a shop where there are some stationary and a variety of things that are to be sold. 

"Yes, what can I help you with Mister?" The shopkeeper there, pokes his head from underneath a table and asks loudly. 

"Well I am just looking for a map." 

"A map? We do have maps. What kind of maps do you want?"

"Well I am not planning to buy it now but I will come by tomorrow. Is there a map of nearby areas, cities and territories?"

"Yes Sir! We do have maps of those. I will save those in order for you to buy tomorrow. Just come by." He says with a smile.

"Oh. I will come by then." With that I say goodbye and walk off.

A lot of nice people here for some reason or did I just walk into the only nicest shops here? Maybe they are all nice.

Wait.

*What?*

Oh you are awake.

*Yes, so what were you saying?*

Oh yeah right, I think that was the shop that was selling elements, we heard when we came here that some shop were selling the elements.

*Now that you mention it, you are right*

I can buy that also from there, I will drop by there tomorrow.

Now, back to workplace.

I walk back to the forge and it is now two in the afternoon. I reach there and see that the workers are not back. They must have taken a break after I had taken mine.

Well let's get working. Again, the metal bends fast and it heats up quickly.

Ryo, are you doing this? Is it because of your power?

*Mmmm no, not really*

Then?

*They are like that in this world and the powers that you have unlocked allows you to do you work faster and make powerful weapons. And in this case better tools.* 

Interesting. Hey, if I do one of the spells from my great grandfather's book, will the weapons be stronger?

*I do not know. But it is worth a try at the very least*

Mmm yeah it is. I will try it later, when I feel more like it.

Time flies fast and the job is halfway through, I am dropping from sweat. My face is fully covered in sweat and my clothes are probably not of a good smell, I can guarantee that. 

I get a towel that was given to me by the workers and wipe my face with it. They came a little while later after I had arrived here. A pretty good group of people, I have to say.

They are not that trained for this, apparently. They said that at first but that was not enough to convince me though. But after seeing them work, it was kind of obvious, at least for me I think. But they are trying their best and that is only what matters.

Opening the door, I go out. The air rushing through my hair feels great. I am seeing some flames on my hands but it is not that opaque, it might be my powers flowing through me.

*You are learning fast.*

I am Linndon dude, I asked those questions for as much information I could get. 

*Impressive. oh, the kid is coming*

Hmm yeah, I noticed that. These senses are just hyped up.

"Hello, good evening." I greet him with a small bow. He does the same.

"Good evening. How is the work going?"

"It is going fine. Probably would be finished by tomorrow evening or night."

"What? That fast?!"

"Yeah. The work was not that much to do. I guided them and taught them some things. When it was arranged, it was saving time and work was going faster." I have some experience in guiding people, from my last job. 

"That is awesome." He seems surprised.

"Well I guess I should I get going anytime soon. It is too late and should pack my stuff and call it a day after a minute." I stretch my hands and arms.

"Yeah. I will tell the workers to call it a day too. How long will you be staying here and working?"

"Hmm I do not know? In a few minutes I will wrap it up." 

"Okay I will stay till then."

I go inside and let the workers know that I am going to be leaving. They give me a wave and say it is okay. They are very nice people. I take the tools and things I and forged and put them on shelves and arrange them. 

I put my hammer and tools that was previously in my suitcase back in my suitcase. I do not want to lose them.

"Do not stay too late, alright guys?"

"Yeah!!" They are very excited.

I wave and go outside. 

"Let's go, kid." 

"Okay" the kid gets up from where he was sitting and walks along with me.

The sky is turning blue and it is very beautiful.

We reach the lodge and I decide to take a quick shower before going to eat. I feel of sweat. 

"I will go eat after I have showered." I say to the kid and go upstairs.

Walking up the stairs feels like too much, there are too many of them. I reach my floor, and open the door. I walk inside the bathroom.

*I will not talk*

Thank you.

Taking a shower right now after such work feels like heaven. It is so refreshing.

After taking shower I change into my dress. I had given my dress for laundry and it arrived. That was pretty damn fast.

After changing into my clothes I go downstairs again and make my way to the diner.

I do not waste any time and order what I had last time. 

Finished. That was great.

I did not order any beer though. I can't seem to handle that much strength of alcohol. 

I go upstairs.

Closing the door of my room behind me, I take off my shoes and go straight to bed.
