Chapter thirty two: Mums alive
"What's the bad news then" Janet asked Lucien who was gritting his teeth as his anger reached a new level his body seemed to shine for a second but dimmed making Janet wonder whether she was seeing things. Struggling to put out every word he spoke " My m-mother has been missing for over a decade and they just found her and she's currently in the hospital in a coma, supposedly she was tortured and they f-found 67 DNA prints on her body" tears welled up in his eyes as he struggled to say those words as they still didn't register properly in his mind, when they finally did an indescribable feeling of rage and anguish filled his being, his red eyes and the anger was so palpable Janet felt it permeate the air in a strong rage filled intent. Looking at her best friend with her hands covered over her mouth she looks at Lucien with shock and pity and tears fell down her eyes, she felt sadness for him but Lucien refused to cry " I may have not known her for most of my life but I will torture and kill every last one, I swear on my life i will have my revenge even if it cost me my last breath of life" his voice laced with an intent that seemed to be a heavenly decleration sword to the heavens of his promise to make those who tortured his mother in unspeakable ways suffer in ways worst than what even all the devil's could imagine.

Getting a notification that required all students to be in the hall now, Lucien told her to go that he'll be on his way he just needs a moment, moving reluctantly and looking at Lucien his face had turned from rage to completely cold and indifferent not even sparing a look at her he spoke to her in a monotonous voice " go" Janet frightened at her friends coldness decided to leave albeit reluctantly so he could calm down.
Left alone in the training room as the man from before had left after telling Lucien, lucien stood alone his thoughts in a mess, leaving he went to go see his brother and sister to tell them the news, people rushed by him to reach the hall and not be late while Lucien calmly scanned the crowd looking for his brother sister. Not seeing them he opted to go to the hall and he may see them there.
Arriving at the hall, he scoured the are looking for his brother and sister amidst the chaos of chattering, gossiping students he finally found them after a while of searching, coincidentally the last of the students had arrived in the hall and the vice principal had come up to address them, so finding a sit he sat down awaiting the announcements.
"Today we will be a day off for you all as tomorrow your test begins. You are to prepare yourselves physically and mentally for tomorrow you will be on your own till you reach the stage of tier2
and only then can you return and when you do what you do with your lives is up to you, you could stay with the school or go do whatever you want. Okay that is all" with that the vice principal stepped down without looking back at the student, leaving them with an awkward silence until one man brazenly stood up and left the hall to which another followed and soon everyone left the hall in a flurry of clattering footsteps and chatter. Lucien had stayed outside to see when his brother and sister came and surely enough they did. Signalling them over they met up and Zakkiel greeted his brother with a small forms as he saw the slight rage that was burning in his eyes and his indifferent attitude which was nothing like Lucien who was A chilled out person but seeing the look on his face both Zakiel and Lillian(lyla other half) knew something was wrong. So following him down the hall and to a secluded Corner Lucien explained the situation of their mother to them with a dark expression on his face. Both Zakiel and Lillian looked at Lucien and sighed, speaking up Lillian said" Look Lucien don't freak out but, we already knew we knew she was kidnapped for 5 years now" Lillian said to her brother who looked confusingly at her and he turned to zakiel who didn't look him in the eye, Lucien face scrunched up with anger " So you led me to believe that mom had died from sickness all those years ago and you didn't bother who tell me she was kidnapped, you knew for 5 years and you didn't TELL ME!!!" Lucien shouted in rage at this revelation, the betrayal he felt nearly broke him" we didn't know until after she was kidnapped and mum, because of the torture and the horrible things they did too her she's dying physically and she's broken mentally, we need a god healer to help her an dthey aren't cheap my teacher said he will do it but the resources he will need are too expensive and too dangerous to get" Lillian spoke to Lucien in a desperate voice hoping to reduce the anger Lucien was feeling for them. With his back to them about to leave Lucien spoke his final words to them " I don't belief I can even trust you but if she was really sick I will find the cure for her myself and I will fillfill my promise to torture and kill those who did this to her as slowly and painfully as possible even if it's the last thing i do" walking away he heard a shout from lyla who had switched places with Lillian " You are not strong enough Lucien they are as powerful as celestials get stronger before doing anything!!!" stopping for a moment and then continuing to walk Lucien didn't turn back and left.
The next morning He packed his things and was the first to arrive at the hall, their were teleport circles that were on the floor, they seemed to have inscribed it last night and seemingly powered it remotely as the circles were glowing.
Other students started to enter the hall and Lucien who stood in the same spot was lost within the crowd.
" Alright students you are permitted to leave the school now and if you decide to no longer want to do the survival test you will be given a token with your names on it with your mana signature and once you input your mana in it you will be immediately teleported here and you will have to redo your first year again and have to do the test again next year. We are not cruel we are teaching you the reality of life nothing comes free and if anyone doesn't earn each shard to level up by killing I will personally cripple you.I wish you best of luck." The vice principal walked in and gave them all a 'inspirational' speech leaving the many scared by her last words. Many people were now anxious and more stressed about the situation, this is a test that will break the brave and build the weak as they had to do everything on their own or else they will lose everything from pride to power.
Lucien stood there indifferently from the beginning to the end of the speech as a portal appeared on their feet. Prior to the day yesterday they had been told that for today that the circle below them would transport each of them to different parts of the universe . most People transverse this on their own but the trio of Lucien, Jacob and Janet didn't as they had all be broken by what had transpired the week.
What a stressful week. Lucien reminiscised those 6 months apart how many times he nearly died from encountering beasts of different tiers and ranks and nearly died.
