17 Snape's Story

The reason for Harry's hate towards Snape was the things he witnessed In Voldemort's memories. The first time Harry saw Severus in Voldemort's memories was when a young Severus still in his 7th and final year of Hogwarts had accompanied Lucius Malfoy in one of his gatherings. Snape then became a regular member of the social gatherings Voldemort organised for his death eaters to propagate the propaganda of the pure blood supremacy. 

Following Snape's association with the Dark Lord, Voldemort recognised Snape's talent in potion brewing and took him in as close confidante.

Harry's blood boiled for the first time when he saw Snape asking a chance to prove himself and his abilities for the dark mark. Already impressed by his potion brewing, Voldemort allowed him to join in one of raids against the muggles. On his return Snape was proud on himself and his other death eater friends had described Snape's 'bravery' against the muggles.

After that Snape par took in many other different raids and performed all kinds of crimes, finally earning him the 'glorious' dark mark. 

After the initial few events, Harry wondered how and why did Dumbledore still kept Snape as a Hogwarts professor. He was enraged on the thought that a previous death eater was teaching him and not only that, the former death eater constantly targeted and insulted him and his father. That former death eater had the galls to ask for Sirius to be kissed by the death eaters to Cornelius Fudge, and Dumbledore had nothing more than few words on love and forgiveness.

The other important thing Harry witnessed was Snape bringing a prophecy to Voldemort, made by Sybill Trelawney during her interview for position of divination professor at Hogwarts. She was giving the interview to Albus Dumbledore at Hog's head when Snape heard the prophecy. But Snape was only able to hear the half part of the prophecy when he was caught eavesdropping by owner of Hog's head and Albus Dumbledore's brother, Aberforth Dumbledore and thrown out of the pub.

The first part of prophecy which Harry learned from Voldemort's memories was, "The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches ... born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies ... and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal"

Harry was enraged. A fucking prophecy made Voldemort attack his parents. Dumbledore allowed Snape to escape after hearing the prophecy. Harry was not sure whether Dumbledore knew about Snape being a death eater at that time, but still the old coot took no measures. He could have asked for a magical oath or obliviated Snape but no he did no such thing.

He was enraged that even on constantly asking to Dumbledore kept all these things hidden from him and the cause of his parents' death and a criminal safe in Hogwarts.

And two boys were considered eligible to fulfil the prophecy, Harry Potter and Neville Longbottom, and thinking Harry being a half blood as more equal to him than Neville, Voldemort targeted the Potter family. 

His final leash on the anger was broken when the news of Lily's pregnancy spread and thus the unborn child was one of the two to fulfil the prophecy. He witnesses how Snape came begging to Voldemort to spare Lily. At first Harry felt some sympathy for the man thinking that maybe Snape realised his mistake but no such thing happened.

Snape begged Voldemort to spare Lily, and kill James. He begged Voldemort to spare Lily so that he could claim her for himself. And this was reason Voldemort gave few chances to Lily to go away.

Harry had witnessed that when Snape arrival at the Godric's Hollow, and he had the gall to touch the body of his dead mother.

Harry had screamed in anger and promised to suitably punish Severus Snape. He had promised himself and his dead parents to make Snape feel despair. 

Harry's magic had flared that day in anger and the nearby windows had shattered and small cracks had appeared on the walls of the attic.

FLASHBACK

Till that time Harry had been patiently doing all the chores of the Dursleys household and was silently assimilating all the knowledge. He was bidding his time and waiting for the moment when he would permanently leave this hell hole.

Harry's scream of rage and the shattering of the windows and cracking of the wall made the Dursleys aware.

The three members of the family came running and forcefully pushed opened the gate.

Either due to anger or due to climbing so fast with his obesity struck body Vernon appeared almost red. 

He shouted, "What have you done freak? You never learn your lessons freak."

Harry already in anger was in no mood to hear the man's blabbering. He kept quiet.

Feeling confident knowing that Harry could not use his magic, Vernon moved forward and raised his fist to strike Harry, "I will teach you today freak and make you understand that your freakiness would not be tolerated in this house."

Harry instinctively reacted and raised his hand and banished Vernon into the wall. Vernon was smashed loudly against the wall, and groaned in pain. Petunia gasped while Dudley whimpered in fear. 

Slightly fearful but still a bit confident Vernon shouted, "Now you wait freak. I know you are not allowed to use magic outside your freakish school. Wait when you are expelled and I will teach you the lesson."

Harry grinned evilly and in no mood to tolerate the nonsense further replied, "then it does not matter if I use few more spells now. What you say uncle?"

Seeing the evil smile and thinking that the freak would not stop from using magic further picked his heavy body with Petunia's help, as fast as he could, ran away but not before whimpering, "Just you wait freak. I will definitely teach you a lesson."

Harry sighed in exasperation and muttered to himself, "Just few days more."

With this he waved his hand for a repair charm and all the damage done to the room was reversed back.
