56 Eldric and his Cultivation Technique and the History of it

Eldric spent the morning grooming Starlight leisurely as he spent time with her. He did not notice the passage of time; he only hummed and enjoyed his time. Eldric was in an excellent mood; since yesterday night's events, he could not help but smile and hum in song.

His core was finally fully healed, and it was a matter of time before he would return to his previous cultivation level, even surpass it. Although he was excited and eager, he refrained from doing anything at the moment and took his time to calm down and do the things that needed to be done.

It was still only Eldric and the five elders who knew of the cavern, and thus, he needed to keep it clean and tidy, something that did not bother him in the slightest. He rather enjoyed the peace and quiet while working.

He soon finished grooming Starlight and cleaned up the surroundings, and once he finished, he realized the time: it was almost mid-morning, and the other members of the House were already up and running around.

He slowly cleaned himself up, and he went to the House; many people were already hard at work, and ever since he awakened the [Talent System], the efficiency of the work has significantly increased. Although some areas still needed help from others occasionally, for example, there was a total of almost 70 people in the House, and only 10 had the talent for farmers.

They were the ones who did the bulk of the work, as they cared for the crops and fields on the farm. They were the ones who controlled the fish farm as well, and they fed and took care of the animals.

While the tamers also helped the farmers by tending to the animals, they were primarily focused on their [Tome] and becoming real tamers. The knights were the ones who had the most relaxed jobs of the lot, as they had only to hunt, practice, and patrol the basin. While they did occasionally help with the farm and other peculiar work.

In any case, the whole did have their own part to play in different ways.

When he arrived at the House, he called for Orion and asked, "Go and count the gold and report all the money we currently have; then afterward, I want you to create a list of resources currently at our disposal."

Orion wasted no time and quickly started scurrying about.

After that was done, he called for Evander to meet him in the meeting hall. He wanted to discuss the current plans for the watchtower with Evander and give him the blueprint so they could start getting the materials ready for the construction of the building.

Evander arrived quite quickly, and they greeted each other before Eldric jumped straight into it, "I have acquired a blueprint of a watchtower and wanted you to look at it," he asked.

Evander took the blueprint and slowly started to work through it. As he kept reading, his eyes gave away the subtle hints of surprise he had, and finally, he said, "This is one heck of a watchtower; it's more sturdy and better defensible than our current ones. What do you want me to do Patriarch?" he asked curiously.

*Sigh*" I need you to organize a group that could help with gathering the necessary materials to build the towers, and once you have enough to make four, you have to destroy the current towers and salvage what you can." Eldric said with a slight sigh.

The reason for their reactions was that their current watchtowers could be said to be crude, while the ones described in the blueprint could be considered higher-quality buildings.

The watchtower is constructed from robust materials like stone and brick. Ascending through a spiraling staircase, it culminates in an elevated platform crowned with a distinctive roof—be it conical, domed, or flat—providing essential shelter. Purposeful windows strategically punctuate the structure, offering commanding panoramic views.

It is far better than the wooden layered one they constructed with stone at the base of the construction.

As such, Evander and Eldric made more plans, and the discussion continued for two hours before they went their separate ways. Evander went back to work, and Eldric took this time to see what could be done and what should be included in the future, but after he finished his rounds, there was very little to be done about their current state of affairs, and as such he decided to retire to his cabin and start cultivating.

He walked with a skip in his step, and he soon reached his cozy and quiet cabin. He calmed himself down and sat down on his bed cross-legged; he carefully remembered the cultivation technique he used in the past.

His technique is called the Emberblade, meaning the surname Balmore. The methods on the continent are not ordinary but are instead bloodline-related techniques. Eldric had always wondered why this was so, and at one point in time, he asked about the system, and the reply it got was a historical piece dating back to the beginning of the creation of techniques.

In the ancient land of Oretheon, more than 5000 years ago, the first warriors emerged in an era that would come to be known as the Primordial Covenant Age. These early warriors, clad in iron and armed with crude weapons, sought to master the art of combat and elevate themselves beyond the limits of mortal strength.

Initially, these warriors relied on traditional methods to strengthen their physiques. They engaged in rigorous physical training, honing their bodies through intense exercises and mastering various martial techniques. The struggle to push the boundaries of their physical prowess became a way of life, and soon, they found themselves facing a seemingly insurmountable plateau where further gains in strength seemed impossible.
