3 Exploring the town

As the sun began to rise over the town, Alex was awakened by the sound of birds chirping outside his window.

Stretching his limbs and yawning, Alex sat up and looked around his new bedroom. The sun was casting a warm glow on the walls, and the room was filled with a sense of calm and peace. As he looked around his bedroom, Alex was filled with joy. The room was large and elegantly decorated with antique furniture. He got out of bed and walked over to the window to take in the sights of his new surroundings. He could see the garden as well as a lake the size of a football field nearby.

But first, he'll explore his new surroundings.

Alex exited his room. As he walked through the corridor, he couldn't help but notice the high ceilings and intricate woodwork that lined the walls. The house was larger than he had anticipated, with several rooms and hallways yet to be explored. He descended to the main floor and passed through the formal living room, which was furnished with antiques and had large windows overlooking the garden.

Alex became eager to explore the garden after thinking about it.He went outside and was immediately struck by the grounds' sheer beauty. With meticulously landscaped greenery, a tranquil pond, a cozy gazebo, and even a small greenhouse, the garden was breathtaking. He couldn't wait to explore all of its nooks and crannies and lose himself in its beauty for hours.

But that will have to wait for now because it is more important to check his system again to see if he received any new notifications yesterday, as he forgot to check in on it after all the stress.

It looks good now to explore Mystic Falls. He turned notifications off and headed out.

Alex left his new home, eager to see what Mystic Falls had to offer, and began wandering through the town. He strolled through the charming streets, admiring the historic structures and majestic scenery.

As he wandered, Alex began to look for a library where he could indulge in his love of books. He asked a few locals for directions and soon found himself outside the town's library. The building was grand and imposing, with a beautiful garden in front. Alex couldn't wait to lose himself in the stacks and spend hours reading to his heart's content and discovering if reading books increases his INT and WIS stats.

He begins with a basic history of the town and recent newspaper articles. After this initial search, he began to research the supernatural part of Mystic Falls. Of course, there wasn't much to begin with, so he just looked at general supernatural knowledge because he still had to find out what kind of tribrid he was.

The system said his knowledge is insufficient, so that means he can't be a tribrid of werewolf, witch, and vampire descent since he already has knowledge about these three, although he does not know everything about them.

But that doesn't mean he isn't one of these three creatures; he believes he is a witch because of his mana stat; he won't know if he is a werewolf or a vampire unless he kills or dies; and he has no intention of doing either of these two things for now.

'I should concentrate on my magic for now; my other thirds are probably going to show themselves to me.' Now back to the books.

Alex's stomach began to rumble after a few hours at the library. He realized he hadn't eaten anything all day and decided to eat at a nearby restaurant. He knew that he had heard good things about a local restaurant called the Mystic Grill, and he decided to head there for lunch. As he wandered through the town, Alex followed his nose to the restaurant. The place had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, with friendly staff and mouth-watering smells wafting from the kitchen. Alex felt drawn to the restaurant and decided to give it a try.

He sat down at a small table and ordered one of the restaurant's specialty burgers. The meal arrived shortly after, and Alex took a bite, savoring the delicious flavor. The food was so good that he ended up ordering a second burger, along with a side of crispy fries.

As he ate, Alex took in the surroundings of the Mystic Grill. The restaurant had a rustic charm, with wooden floors and exposed brick walls. There were also pictures and posters on the walls, showcasing the town's rich history and culture.

As he finished his meal, Alex felt content and satisfied. The food had been delicious, and the atmosphere had been welcoming and friendly. He paid with cash and complimented the chef before heading out.

After his meal at the Mystic Grill, Alex felt full and content. He decided to head to a nearby park to relax and enjoy the scenery.

As he strolled through the park, taking in the beautiful surroundings, he saw a familiar face. It was the girl he had met the day before, the one who had helped him with directions to the police station. She looked different today, though. Her face was etched with sadness, and she seemed lost in thought.

Deciding to approach her in an effort to return her kindness he asked her if everything was alright.

"Hello, are you all right?" inquired a concerned Alex. The girl appeared surprised because she had been pulled out of her thoughts.

"You're the boy I helped find the police station yesterday; I'm fine; thank you for asking.""My name is Hope." "Nice to meet you," Hope replied.

"Nice to meet you, I am Alex," said Alex before muttering, "Apparently."

"Apparently?" asked Hope, confused.

"Remember yesterday when I asked you for directions? A few minutes before that, I found myself in an alley without any kind of memory of my past self, so I just have to get used to my 'new' name. "You were the first person I encountered after my memory loss," responded Alex.

Hope is shocked, 'could be compulsion' thought Hope, "How are you coping with that? it must be quite shocking to forget everything about who you are." she replied.

"I suppose I should feel worried or angry, but I only feel sadness for losing myself like that, losing everything that I once was. But enough about me; what about you? You looked pretty sad. Want to talk about it?"

As Alex brings this topic up, he notices that he suddenly feels sad. He doesn't understand why until it dawns on him that it is not his sadness but Hope's. He feels her emotions; he has an empathic ability.

"No thank you; I don't want to talk about it." "Sadly, I have to go now. It was nice meeting you."

"Bye Hope"

Unbeknownst to them, they had only met one other member of their species.

Alex returned to his house after a long day of exploring and learning about his new town.

He was exhausted from all of the excitement and new experiences, both physically and mentally.

As he settled into his comfortable bed, he couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment. As he drifted off to sleep, his mind buzzed with the possibilities of what the future held for him in this town. With his newfound abilities and a sense of purpose, he felt like he could accomplish anything. And with that comforting thought, he fell into a deep and restful sleep, ready for whatever tomorrow may bring.
