4 A sad girl at night.

Elsie sat there, patiently waiting for someone she could extort some fortune from. She waited in boredom until a gentleman came into the tent and took a seat in front of her.

"I like to get my fortune told." The young man who had the age of about twenty-five, had a friendly smile plastered on his face.

Elsie secretly rejoiced when she heard those words, but on the surface, she maintained a moral expression. "You have indeed come to the right place, please put down a word."

The young man picked up the brush and put down a word on the paper, he stretched out his hand to Elsie as she placed her palm on his with closed eyes.

She opened her eyes after a maximum of thirty seconds, and a friendly smile plastered on her face. "Today at dawn, your lover will confess her feelings to you. You will receive a kiss from her."

The young man was stunned. He had loved his lover for a whole two years but she never returned the love to him. Was she going to? The young man was beyond delighted within him. "Miss, is what you are saying true?"

"I wouldn't lie to you as that will ruin my reputation and business." Elsie smiled as she patted the table, signaling the young man to drop his money before leaving.

The young man took out a patch of gold coins and plopped it on the table. Whether what Elsie was saying was lies or not, he had to try his luck. Besides he had never heard anyone mention that this fortune teller was a swindler!

"Good! now make way for my next customer." Elsie waved her hands as excitement and joy were gushing inside of her. This is the first fortune she has made since transversing into this world.

The young man nodded his head furiously, as excitement gleamed in his pitch-black pupils. "Thank you, miss."

Customers continued to swim in and out of the tent with excited and gloomy faces. Some came out with ashen faces while some came out with excited faces.

Elsie was in a whole new level of happiness that day. She had made a total of a thousand gold coins. She could not help but muzzle the bag of coins. "These fortune tellers are rich really. To think I would be able to make so much money just from telling fortunes." She grinned as she had found a new source of earning money.

"We have to leave now, it's almost dawn." Zamiel waved his hands.

She tied up the bag of coins inside the silk she used to tie the stolen clothes and made her way out of the tent.

She continued her journey and would sometimes stop to buy some necessary things she would need, like food, weapons, sandals, and new sets of male clothes, she wasn't quite comfortable with those huge dresses.

Her journey continued until she eventually stopped in the woodland. People on earth would call this place a Forest but here, it was addressed as 'woodland'.

She gathered some pieces of sticks and made a fire, then she roasted the fish she had bought earlier to fill her stomach.

She was gobbling it down in a way that if someone was here, he or she would tell that this girl had not eaten in a few days and indeed she hasn't. This was the first time she was having good food apart from stolen bread since she came to this world.

After her meal, she laid down on a huge stone there and stared up at the sky as the stars twinkled in the sky. She suddenly thought about her past life, her mother, her two best friends, she wondered if Monika and James were alright after they heard about her death.

They would probably cry their eyes out and drown in sorrow. She stared deeply at the sky, can her mother see her? How was she fairing in heaven? She sighed deeply as a sad smile crept on her lips.

"Zamiel can you tell me about this world?"

"Ok. I will start by introducing this world to you. This world is called the Divine land, the world of demons. No human lives here but that doesn't mean that the demons don't know about the existent of humans. Demons used to leave with humans, but some things took place millennium years ago and the humans were segregated from the world of demons. Sherpa[1] created two worlds which are earth and the Divine land."

"Wow!... something like that happened!?" Elsie was stunned for a moment as astonishment flashed across her eyes.

Zamiel smiled at her reaction, it was just funny how humans had no idea about this but every demon knows this story. "Yes. so, after the two creatures were separated, things became peaceful, humans lived well, but not the demons. Although the world of demons became peaceful after being separated from humans, things didn't turn okay because the water demons and land demons never lived peacefully."

"The water demons?" Elsie felt that these water demons would be the creatures they call mermaids on earth which she wasn't even sure if they exist.

"Yes, the water demons, they live in the water, and they are in no way inferior to land demons in terms of strength."

Indeed she was right, they were the creatures that humans call mermaids and mermen on earth.

"So since they are on par, why aren't they living harmoniously then? Why are there conflicts between the two parties?"

Zamiel chuckled as he pinched between his eyebrows. "Simply because the land demons are too greedy. Lothaire wants to rule the world. As long as that place isn't heaven he must rule over it but Poseidon will never agree, he won't let his kingdom be stepped on under anyone."

"Who are Lothaire and Poseidon?" Deep curiosity flashed across Elsie's large eyes. She was getting more interested in this world.

"Lothaire is the devil and Poseidon is the emperor of the water demons."

Elsie Inhaled heavily as astonishment flashed across her eyes. Never had she thought that she would one day be in the same world where the devil ruled? The devil whom humans fear so much on earth and pray against!

"Is the devil ugly?" Elsie grinned, she wanted to confirm if the devil was black as the humans always say.

"What?.... Who said that to you? I think no beauty can rival the devil's beauty in the whole universe," Zamiel flashed her a look of disdain. What was this girl thinking? where did she even hear that?

"Ohh... if that's the case, then humans truly know nothing," Elsie shook her head helplessly as she laughed at her stupidity.

"So what happened?"

"Well a war was proclaimed and the water demons and land demons fought, in the end, both parties lost to each other and that war nearly eradicated this world, but Sherpa restored everything. However, the two sides never mended their relationship and continued being antagonistic towards each other."

"Ahh...yes there is another demon sect apart from the water demons and the land demons," Zamiel nodded as he recalled that low-profiled clan.

"Huh?"

"They are called Smoke demons, and are beyond strong, It was once rumored that the first descendant of the Smoke demon clan became a Seraphim when she made it to the celestial God realm."

Elsie furrowed her brows as uncertainty flashed across her eyes. "Celestial God realm?"

"Celestial God realms is a realm where one gets elected by Sherpa and then ascend the heavens, but it depends on Sherpa as he's the one who gives the role,"

"As for the smoke demons, they never engaged in the war that took place back then, but lived peacefully on their own."

How come none of those parties fought the Smoke demons?"

"I told you, they are beyond strong. Since they weren't interested in the war, why would anyone want to pick a war with them?" Zamiel raised his brow as he grimaced his face.

"Is that so...I've seen some people using something like flames when battling!" Elsie sighed as uncertainty flashed across her large eyes. "However, I was not able to create such flames."

"That's because you don't infer you possess one. Take a look at your arm."

Samantha raised the sleeve of her shirt and took a peek at her arm and there she saw a star mark that was emitting a bright yellow. "What is this?"

Zamiel shook his head as he proceeded to explain, "Demon levels are classified by the color of a star on their arm. The first level is Brown star level, the Second level is Yellow star level, the Third level is Orange star level, the Fourth level is Green star level, the Fifth level is Red star level, the Sixth level is Blue star level, the Seventh level is Black star level, the Eighth level is White star level, the Ninth level is Violet star level, And the Tenth level is Indigo star level."

"The other three levels which are Bronze, Silver, and gold are the levels you attain when you enter the Transcendental realm. It is a realm that Is hard to attain which people often say is hard as reaching heaven. Whenever ever you break through to another level the star on your arm will change its color." Zamiel went on and on to explain.

Elsie sighed as she laughed at herself. "So... am just at the second level?"

"Don't worry you just have to cultivate diligently and you will attain these levels,"
