Do you wanna be my partner?

Hi, My name is Ciel. I'm nineteen years old, a straight A student at Perchlord High School. I have a very smart friend named Leah. She is a honest, noble girl, a little mean sometimes but this is not about her. This is about me and my stalker, Nathan. Nathan is the second top student. He's been following me, well bothering me. Kind of like sticking beside me all the time. This all started a week before the exams. I was just studying on my desk during break(I'm one of the quiet students that doesn't talk to anyone, besides Leah). I usually study by myself(sometimes Leah study with me, but its better for the both of us to study alone), but Leah wants to study alone this time. It was always the same thing everyday, studying on break, then returning back to class. But today was different. A guy got up from his desk and walked up to me(AKA Nathan). I didn't know Nathan at the time, I was the quiet one out of the class. He looked at me for a few seconds, then finally speaked.

"lets be partners" Nathan said with a straight face

"wha.. partners for what" Ciel says, confused

"for the next class" Nathan Said

"He's talking about the project for English class, we will be work in partners...of two" Leah looked at Ciel " Didn't you hear.."

"um, no sorry. I didn't hear anything " Ciel said

Nathan looked at Ciel, waiting for a answer.

"yea, sure I'll be your partner" Ciel answers

"Thanks." Nathan walks, with no expression on his face

"Isn't he so serious. do you know why" Ciel ask Leah

"um, no. maybe he's just cold hearted" Leah leans in "wait, I heard rumors that his ex girlfriend, cheated on him."

"Wait for real" Ciel glanced at Nathan "then why would he ask me to be his partner, there other people besides me"

"I don't know maybe he just randomly asked you." Leah Shrugged

"yeah, maybe" Ciel said
