Chapter 2

Typing constantly on her computer, holding the keyboard in her lap and listening to the music was what Sarah did everyday at her office. That's what she was doing that day too. She forgot what happened, her surroundings, no past, future and anything other than her work mattered.

That's what her Boss like about her. That's why he would always threaten her about her job but wouldn't be able to fire her. She was a very hard working employee of his and would finish the required work within the due date, not a minute would be wasted. That's what he was thinking as he enter her office. 'How she does that? He wondered.'

The cabin in which she was working was a decent one, a small wooden desk, two chairs infront of the desk and a computer on which Sarah typing endlessly, shaking her head at something.

He smiled at her. She had dark almond shaped eyes, small unsmiling lips, grecian nose and short brown messy curls surrounded her broad face. She would seem chaotic to any outsider but she wasn't that at least in his opinion. Because she was working for Him! She was attractive.

He would just pass by her without disturbing her, admiring her beauty but this time he had to inform her about something important. He knew she listened to music on full volume. But before he could approach her desk she looked up. She must have sensed his presence. She removed her earphones and stood up from behind her desk.

"Eason you?"she said rather sarcastically. Yes she called him by his name once again.

"Yes me. I am here to tell you some important news." He stopped talking and looked at her face. A complete silence prevailed.

She sighed. 'Now what does he want from me?' she thought and crossed her arms before her chest. He was creating an effect she knew that.

"Well I have hired a new guy. He will be working with you." He announced, smirking.

Sarah laughed a bitter laugh. And stared at him.

'This man has lost his mind right?'

"What? You mean my assistant right?"

"Yup that's what you can call him!" He said smiling. He knew how to play dumb with her.

"Oh great! But you know he won't be able to work with me and you know why is that. Am I right or am I right?" She said while looking at him dead in his eyes. She wasn't afraid of him like everyone else was.

"Oh yeah! I know that but the thing is I am the boss here and I want you to be working on a very important project which you have to submit this Saturday and you would need help from someone. And that's when I thought about a new assistant for you. Cuz why not? And the thing is he will be working with you starting tommorow. No excuses! " said Eason and left.

Sarah didn't respond. She wasn't surprised because she knew this would happen. She had her own rules of life and no one liked them. She wasn't a person who would work under someone. And Eason knew that too but he wanted to challenge her just for fun.

Sarah on the other hand was already stressed out. She had been working for him for three years but she could not understand him. He wore a mask and would not reveal his inner intentions. But she was doing that too right?

She tried to diverge her attention back to her work but she couldn't stop thinking about all the worries surrounding her.

The 'incident' with Harry was a major also one of them that would lead to her leaving this place for good. Once again. Even thinking about it make her shudder. And this new assistant. Her life was all messed up and she had created that mess herself. Or did she?
