Chapter 30, Till the Time Comes

"Whoa! So this is Azure Skies?" Ethan said as he looked at the clear blue sky with islands floating in each direction.

Azure Skies, a nation formed after countless dictatorships and civil wars. Floating in the azure skies are islands that are filled with multiple forms of life. The only way to travel between island is via airship or flight. It'll be hard for us to traverse these skies.

"So, where are we now?" Alexis asked.

"We're on Island 24." Leon answered. "Sunflower Castle is on... let's see here..."

"Restricted Island 7..." Lia read from the map.

"Restricted Island?" Zhen repeated.

"Islands that can't be visited on regular terms. Mostly because monsters have taken them." Leon answered. "Still, we're a long way from Restricted Island 7."

"Let's hurry there." Luca said.

"But how do we get there?" Rachel asked

I peered into the great blue below us. The azure skies are high in the skies and below it is water that is deeper than anywhere else. No one knows what's under there but the waters below make it difficult to sail from island to island.

I touch my shadow and what comes out is a ring. This ring... the Guardian Ring is it. I move closer to the edge and hold my ring to the sky.

"Argent, what are you doing?" Mitan asked.

"I call the one who rules the skies, who sails and traverses the azure blue, who has conquered the great azure basin." I chanted as my ring glowed bright. "Reveal yourself before your master, heed the call of the Guardian Ring, materialize before me, Great Ship, Griffon!"

Then, from the water, slowly, something begins to arise. A giant ship, an old ship that is said to be one of oldest ship in existence. The Great Ship, Griffon that is said to have sailed past the Azure Basin and is said to sail towards the edge of the worlds.

"T-this is... so unbelievable." Adele said. "Is this really the ship that was said to have sailed past the azure basin?"

"It is." I answered.

"The Azure Basin is... the edge of the Azure Skies were monsters, storms, and even great calamities exist right?" Liam asked and I nodded. "How is that even possible? I thought that the Great Ship Griffon was just a myth."

"I thought it was real but why is it here?" Angie asked.

"You've been waiting, haven't you?" I turned to the ship before us. It's a British Style ship. It's beautiful and has a griffon at bow of the ship. On the sails of the ship was the crest of the Sacred Flower.

"Waiting? Waiting for what?" Lia asked.

"For the Sacred Flower." I answered. "Let's go, we don't have much time to waist."

"Okay." They answered and followed me onvoard the ship.

"So, with this it'd be easier to travel the world right?" Leon asked but I shook my head as the ship began to move towards the dirdction of Restricted Island 7. "Why not?"

"Griffon shall return to it's slumber within the depths till the time has come." I answered.

"Time? What time?" Alistar asked.

"Time to sail to the end of the worlds." I told them. "Till that day, this ship along with countless other treasures, shall sleep within the Azure Skies' depths."

"Still, they've sent multiple explorations down into the depths, but how come they never found this?" Theo asked.

"The Great Ship Griffon shall stay hidden, until the time has come." I told them.

"Like we keep saying, time for what?!" Lucas asked.

"For the end." I answered. "Griffon, is said to be the artifact that ushers the end. When it emerges from its sleep, it will usher forth an end of something."

"Then what is coming to an end?" Lia asked.

"The Era of Wars between Chimeras and the Worlds." I answered. "Keep your eyes out, once we're outside the 20th Island, it'll be a while before we reach the 19th. Monsters tend to appear in the area between the two."

"Okay then." Will said.

We watched the skies, waiting for monsters to attack and, as I guessed, they did come. In the other worlds, it isn't just Chimeras they have to deal with here. Monsters, beasts, they all exist in the other worlds and people from the other worlds have to survive against them.

"It's Wyverns!" Lia shouted.

"Tch. Bothersome pests." Leon complained.

Will shot at them with the first key and takes a few of them down but they keep comming. If we could scare them away for good that'd be nice. But, Wyverns are only scared of Greater Dragons. I suddenly realize something and turn to Adele.

"Adele, come here!" I called out to here and she ran for me. A Wyvern neared her but Theo pierced it with a trident.

"What is it?" She asked.

"Adele, I hereby grant you the title, Vassal Brave of the Book." I said and held her hand.

Then, suddenly her shoulder glowed bright at the crest was engraved. A book with my crest on it.

"Your ability can make illusions, envision a dragon and scare them off." I told her and she nodded.

In her hand a book emerged and then, she bretahed slightly and a giant dragon emerged behind. It roared and roared and the Wyverns fleed in panic.

After they left the dragon also disappeared and I could relax. I leaned down on the mast and breathed calmly.

"I didn't know Adele could do that." Liam said. "Thanks for saving us."

"She can't." Theo said and turned to me. "Argent, what did you do?"

"I gave her a Title is all." I answered and I drank some water. "Vassal Brave of the Book."

"So, can you tell us how you do it now?" Lia asked but I shook my head.

"I can't exactly explain it yet." I answered. "It's just that I can feel it sometimes is all."

"Okay then." Theo patted my head and smiled.

I only have a few more titles I can give. Or so I feel. I can't tell why but it feels like that. Just then, I noticed the bright blue glow of the skies. I gazed up and smiled.
