Chapter 207, The Madman and Spirit

"What just happened?" I asked as Licht lightened up the dark space.

"That little brat! He just recovered and now he is using his Vi again!" Will roared.

"Calm down. This time he isn't using his Vi." Van stated as he touched the walls of the room. "Licht? This is a pocket dimension created by the Key?"

"I had no choice. Arata took flight to search for Andrew's father. The path he took isn't one we normally can use." He answered.

"What path did he use?" President Mayumi asked.

Just then the floor shines and we see a giant bird that flies through the sky of gold. But I suppose the best term is to use is it's swimming.

"Arata is using the Rivers of Fluer to trace your father's whereabouts using the scent of emotions on the watch he gifted you." Licht answered.

"Then this giant bird is..." Yuuki looked down at it with amazement.

"It's Arata." Licht answered.

"Is everyone okay?" We can hear his voice ask.

"We're fine." Will answered. "What about you?"

"Yeah fine. In fact I'm feeling even better." He answered.

"The Rivers can after all help replenish lost Vi." Van answered. "So where are we headed?"

"Search for the scent. Search for the scent." Arata answered. "Search until you reach the heart."

"Looks like he's focused himself on searching." Licht answered. "We can only wait."

"Then we can ask for more details from Andrew." Liam stated. "Exactly what happened?"

I nodded and began explaining what happened before my Dad's abduction. My Dad and me were returning from visiting Mom's grave. Everything was fine, we got in our car, Dad was in the driver's seat I was on the passenger side. I didn't sense anything when we were coming but when we returned, about half way along the freeway, I sensed a sudden malice that I immediately created a barrier. The car blew up but my old man and me were alive thanks to the barrier. After the explosion a bunch of men, I couldn't see any faces only black masks. They were holding guns and a few swords I think. One held his gun at me so I immediately did what I usually do. I takeout my scythe and fight back, but they were skilled and I was outnumbered. I easily got wounded, my old man traded my life for his. They took him away and I was left for dead. With the little bit of Vi I had left, I activated the last resort Arata gave us. A teleportation spell that sends us home.

"Who do you think could've done this?" Will asked.

"I'm not sure but... I might have an inkling." I answered. "We might have to consider this as an attack on the Three Families."

"If what you're saying is right, they might also target the Akatsuki Family and Valiant Family." Liam stated. "And if their people who have hatred against Braves maybe even minor Brave Clans are in danger."

"I doubt it. They seemed more keen on abducting my old man. They might have a personal motive." I answered. "Maybe a personal grudge against the Sirius Family."

"We'll find out when we get our hands on them." Hiro stated.

"Everyone we're surfacing!" Arata warned us and everything went dark.

It's a large estate, there doesn't seem to be anyone on the grounds until I feel something pulsating in the earth. This sensation... I know this.

"Arata, you okay?" Licht opens a gate beside.

"Aegis!" I casted a shield as a rain of bullets shoot down.

"What was that?" Angie asked.

"Hmm... Looks like live rounds of Vi distabilizing bullets." Andrew stated as he picked up an empty shell.

"Everyone be wary, I'm not sure why but I get an ominous feeling from the mansion." I warned everyone.

"We will." Will said as he transformed and held out his gun. "Move with caution. We don't know what we're up against."

'Arata, can you sense it?' Elias asks me telepathically.

'Yes. Somewhere in this estate, a Spirit is being suppressed.' I answered.

'Be careful.' He told me and I nodded.

We push towards the mansion but then a group of men all armed stop us in our tracks..

"Dance, Wind Blades!" President Mayumi sends a blade of wind at them. "Go! We'll hold them back!"

"Proceed to the mansion!" Will shouted and we ran for the mansion.

"I can sense some people up ahead!" Lucas stated.

"Starlight Trident!" Theo throws his trident forward to clear a path.

"Go without us, hurry!" Adonis stated. "We'll hold them here."

We push through the mansion's interior, I can sense Andrew's father just below us. He must be in the basement. I can sense a few people with him.

"Down below!" I shouted as I ran in search for the staircase.

"Dead Bullet!" I duck as Will shoots a bullet towards the man infront of me.

I kick open the door that leads to the basement. We proceed down the staircase without delay, I can hear shouts at the bottom. My hands reach into my shadow and pull out a pistol.

We descend to a room with Andrew's father teid up and a handful of men armed to the teeth with guns hold locked at us stand.

"Don't move, or we'll kill him." One man states.

"I can sense a tremendous amount of Vi from the one in the middle." Another stated as he pointed his gun at me.

"Oh. Perfect timing, Braves. The perfect time to try out the things we bought." They stated and I noticed the bullets.

"Vi=rus." I stated.

"Bingo! Now then, I'd like to know what happens when you shoot Vi=rus at a person." The man smiled crazily. "I heard that Braves are made of this stuff."

He laughed, this man, he is insane. Whatever his problem is, we can't wait. We don't have a choice, we have to hill him.

I shoot him but my bullet is blocked. He grins and that's when I see it, there's a wall wrapping around him. Protecting him from anything that has Vi.

"Handy isn't it? This tool." He shows us a lantern hanging from his belt.

There's no mistaking it, inside that lantern is Spirit.
