Chapter 205, The Sealed Pages of the Unknown Story

Before any of the us could ask further, Hazel takes her leave and returns Arata's body to him. Ethan catches him and seeing that he was not snapping out of it yet, lays him down to rest on a bench.

"Do you know what Hazel meant, Van, Zander, Licht?" Will asked.

"Sad to say I don't have any idea." Zander answered.

"The thornless path... The Moment of Choice..." Licht muttered thinking deeply.

"Something on your mind, Licht?" I asked him.

"I'm not sure if what I'm thinking is right but I think I might have an idea of what she means." Licht answered. "The Moment of Choice, I know what that is."

"The time when Arata must make the choice for the worlds." Van answered. "And, unfortunately for us, only Arata knows what the choices are."

"So aside from that, what do we do about the Rivers? She said if we can't stop whatever is happening it will spread across the entire world." Ashley stated.

"None of us have a way to answer that right now." Licht answered. "Only Arata has the keys right now."

"Ah! I wanted to ask her about Ras Alhague!" Zhen stated. "Didn't it bug you guys too?"

"Yeah. Every time we defeat a True Beast, Arata has been offering them some kind of prayer." Alistar stated. "It started ever since we got back from the Isla of Memorya."

"Speaking of which, what did Arata see down there I wonder?" Alexis asked.

"Van, can you check it out?" Lucas asked him and Van nodded.

"I, Van, hereby order thee, with my power, reveal the untold truth, hidden in the pages of the unknown story." He chants and suddenly a book appears before him the pages fly out and turn.

"Did you find anything?" Seiji asked.

"The pages have been hidden." Van stated. "Just like that time... Is this Arata's handiwork?"

"Let me try something." Licht stated. "Van can I cast a spell on you?"

"Go ahead." He answered.

"By the power the Beacon bears I hereby order thee, beyond the limit, beyond your own helplessness." Licht began chanting. "Hear my will and endow the one I will with your power. Beyond!"

A golden light engulfs Van and he tries to unlock the sealed pages again. We begin to see sparks of lightning here and there, they're bright and they seem to be resisting Van and Licht's power."

"By the power the Sword bears I order thee, heed my law and hereby become a new power. Overcome it, overwhelm it!" Zander had also begun chanting. "Let not your power be drowned out by the endless waves of despair, cleave the darkness and purify the chaos! Cleaver!"

Another light engulfs Van, the three struggle to try and open the sealed pages. We begin to feel the power that is keeping the page sealed. It swirls and rages like a tempest, as if resisting the authority the three have.

"Ahh!" The three are sent flying back.

"Are you alright?!" Mayumi exclaimed.

"We'll be fine." Van stated.

"Still... Whatever is keeping that page sealed is powerful." Licht stated.

"And ancient." Zander stated. "Far more ancient than our three powers combined could over come."

"There has to be a way." Van stated. "I'll try to think of more ways, you guys take a bit of a rest."

"What do we do now?" Abby asked.

"What we have always done, wait." Will states and turns to Arata smiling as he sleeps. "And maybe get him somewhere he can sleep peacefully."

Ugh... My head hurts. There's a heavy weight on my back, my body feels like a rock.

I open my eyes, I lie on my bed, unable to move. What is wrong with my body right now?

'It's due to the Bonds of Fluer's weakening.' Elias' voice echoes in my head. 'Right now you body is being forced to replenish it's Vi from scratch.'

"Will! Anyone?" I called out.

"Arata? You're awake? Is something wrong?" The one who opens my door is Andrew. "Are you alright?"

"My body feels heavy. I want to eat, can you bring me down?" I asked him.

"Sure." He answered and carried me in his arms.

"Are you feeling okay? You seem a bit pale." He asked as he carried me out the door. "You were asleep for a whole day."

"I'm fine." I answered.

When we get down, I realize that Van is missing.

"Where's Van?" I asked as Andrew sets me on the sofa.

"He was trying to research something." Licht smiled. "Are you alright, Arata?"

"Ahahaha, I think I've exhausted my Vi, my body is trying to recover as much as it can. But there's so little Vi that I can't recover quickly." I stated. "It's rather inconvenient to not be able to move around on my own."

"Hmmm... Then why don't you have Andrew carry you around for the rest of the day." Will smiled. "He is the only one available today since most of us have classes."

"I couldn't possibly impose." I answered. "Besides, today is the few times Andrew can meet his father."

"Ah, that's right! I'm suppose to meet my old man later." Andrew says, looks like he has completely forgotten. "But who'll accompany Arata for today?"

"I have my ways." I answered and held my hand. "Petals, 1st Form, Mobility."

The petals begin to swirl around me, eventually forming a big pillow which I crawl onto and ride.

"Oh, you're Petals can also be used for a purpose like this?" Licht said in surprise.

"Yeah, though I need a bit of energy to activate it." I stated."But with this I should be able to move around the school."

"Alright then. Well, here's your breakfast." Ethan smiles as he hands me a plate. "Eat up and get better quickly."

"Thanks." I answered as I accepted the plate.

Now then, I what should I do? While I doubt it'll be here, I'm afraid of the Rivers drying up. It's only proof that the Bonds of Fluer are growing weaker and weaker. At this rate, will I be able to save it? No. I have to. For our future's sake.
