Chapter 128, Karin's Envy

As they all gathered inside the the cafeteria, Dino shared with them all that he knew in regards to Pierrot. It was very easy for him to become friends with every one of them and get along with the other students. However, something was worrying Arata. Despite his power returning to normal, there were things that worried him.

While he has gained new allies, many enemies gathered behind his back. The Nine Tailed Calamity, Pierrot and the Chimeras. Three enemies and three seperate battles he must face, yet he hasn't awakened to his full power.

While Arata was wondering about what he would do, Will grew wary of the enemies that had gathered. It wasn't him alone, Reinhardt, Andrew, Alistar and the other Swords had begun to grow wary as well. With how reckless Arata was they were afraid of what may become of him.

Meanwhile, in the prison cell where Karin was kept, she continued to mutter endlessly. The fact that she hates Arata, that if he wasn't there she'd be the star, insanity was spewing from her mouth and no one had cared what would become of her, all except two people. Arata and Kimie. However, Karin had gone over the cliff long ago, she had been driven to the brink of insanity and she no longer cared about what method she had to use or who stood in her way, she would be the one to take Arata's powers and life. Because of this, the Gems of Sin that were with the Nine Tailed Calamity began to resonate with her.

"Master, the jewels seem to be resonating endlessly." Eddy stated.

"Suppress them, quickly." He stated however, it was far too late. The Gems all shined bright and disappeared before their eyes.

The Gems immediately appeared before Karin, they were the Gems of Envy, Pride, Vainglory, Wrath and Lust. The remaining Gems immediately began to whisper to Karin their powers and she laughed in amusement. She immediately took the gems and accepted their powers. Using their powers she breaks out of her jail cell which causes the alarm to go off, alerting the Braves that were gathered in the cafeteria.

"Bring up the live feed!" Andrew ordered and the school's broadcasting channel showed the live feed of Karin, dressed in a black dress with a fan and her black hair let down her back breaking through the walls of the underground prison.

"Arata!" Leon catches Arata as he suddenly falls. "What's wrong?!"

"This presence... it is..." Arata was struggling to maintain his consciousness as the Gem of Envy tried to pull him under.

"Fleur, the Ancient of life, and the Eight Blades who stand beside her, I plead to you, your children have been hurt by the darkness, share with them your power and grant them protection!" Dino chanted and Arata's body glowed bright, for now it was enough to repel the power of the Envy.

"Tch. What was that?" Theo said angrily.

"The power of Envy, once Arata fell asleep she would easily steal his powers." Van stated. "It seems Karin has gotten her hands on the Gems of Sin."

"And it isn't just one, I feel it. Pride, Vainglory, Lust Envy, Wrath... the remaining jewels have gathered in her." Arata stated as he began to recover.

"Even so, aren't you immune to the effects of the Gems?" Zander asked.

"I am, but the sudden shock of their negative energy affected me and weakened me enough for Envy to be able to affect me." He stated.

"Where is she heading?" Angie asked.

"It seems that she's heading here." Mayumi stated. "Move all the students out of here and evacuate!"

"Move as quickly as possible." Arata stated.

As Karin walked to the cafeteria, she couldn't help but smile to herself. She finally has it, she has attained it, a power equal to Arata's. She was overjoyed, now the other students would look at her as well and she would gain the praise and attention she deserved.

A few steps away was the cafeteria, for some reason the students were missing in the hallway, however she didn't care as she walked closer to the cafeteria. With a smile she opened the door to find Arata, guarded by the Braves beside him.

"Karin-chan, what have you done?" Kimie, her best friend asked in horror when she saw Karin.

"I've simply gained the power equal to that of Arata." She smiled. "Now then, who dares to stand in my way?'

"Why would you do this?" Liam asked. "Out of hatred for us?"

"Of course not. I could never hate any of you." She said. "I only hate him."

She pointed to Arata and Van and Zander immediately had Arata move behind them. They were certain now, Karin was after Arata's life and his powers. However, she had to go past them first.

"Don't even think about laying a finger on him!" Andrew said and took out his scythe and attacked her but a black mist surrounded Karin pushing his attack back. "What was that?"

"The power of Envy, a black mist that can deflect any attack." Zander stated.

While they all stood there, a person from the distance was watching and laughing. It was none other than Pierrot, however even he was enraged. He knew that Karin had potential but didn't expect her to be hate Arata so much that she'd consume the gem of Sin.

It seems that she was indeed worthy of the power that he wanted to impart to her. But, will she survive the wrath of the Braves before her eyes? He could feel the anger of the Swords and Vassal Braves for her, there are also the presence of Qausi-Braves and Braves who had anger and rage towards her. This would indeed be a wonderful show to watch for him and a enjoyable one at that. He was overjoyed.

The man laughed and laughed before he felt someone approaching him and he turned to a man with bright yellow hair and white skin with emerald eyes. He smiled as the wind blew past them.
