Chapter 124, Crest of Ancients

"Tch. Why! Why did I have to lose my Brave Title!" Karin kicked the things around her. "If only he was the one who touched it! If he touched it then!!"

"What you are wishing is impossible." I told her as I stood above head.

"Who are you?!" She demanded.

"Oh, excuse me. My name is Pierrot." I answered. "I'm here because I believe that you are the one more suited for the power he bears."

"Eh? You have good eyes!" She smiled. "You're right! I'm the one who deserves his powers!"

"I know a way you can take what is rightfully yours." I told her and reached into my pocket to pull out a small necklace. "This is the Gem of Rights. If you have it, you can have the power to take what is yours."

"Give it!" She exclaimed but I didn't give it just yet.

"I need you to do something for me in return." I smiled.

"What is it?" She asked.

"Bring me back his power after you take it. Then I'll transfer it to you." I smiled.

"Deal." She smiled and went off happily.

What a foolish girl, no wonder she has earned the eye of the Nine Tailed Calamity. However, she will make a lovely puppet for me. The Mindbreakers Heart. That Gem will be useful. Once she steals the Fleur's powers I can have my way with her as a puppet.

But I must hurry, it seems that those people have made their move. The Chimeras and Nine Tailed Calamity are also after him.

As Karin walked back to the tents, she didn't know that she was being watched by five different people. The first was Pierrot watching to make sure she would do as she was told. The other was Eddy one of the servants of the Nine Tailed Calamity. The third was Elias of the previous Flowers. the Fourth, was Sirius of the Chimeras. The last was a member of the Crest of Ancients, a group of people who served and hold the Five Ancients in high regard. They believe that the Five Called Ones are the reincarnation of the Five Ancients and seek to be their sword and shield.

Meanwhile, back in at the tent where Arata and his friends were gathered, news had arrived.

"It seems that another town was raised to the sky." Leon stated.

"Which one?" Arata asked him.

"This time, it was from the South." He answered.

"What are they planning exactly?" Lucas asked, equally puzzled.

"We can only wait for now." Arata stated but in his heart he was wavering, even he had no idea of what was about to happen.

Unknown to Arata, Karin was slowly approaching with something capable of stealing his power and she was simply waiting for the right chance, when he was alone as she knew that attacking him while others were around would lead to her own death, a painful and brutal one at the hands of the Swords and Vassal Braves if anything hapened to Arata in the process.

That evening, as they were all on their ship and returning home, Will had felt something strange so he stayed by Arata's side throughout the trip back and told the others to keep watch over Arata. The later however was more preoccupied trying to unravel the truth behind the actions of the Nine Tailed Calamity.

"Arata, are you in?" Van asked as he knocked on the door to Arata's room.

"Come in." Arata answered and Van came in with Zander.

"Will, can you leave us for a bit?" Arata asked and he nodded and guarded the door outside.

"In regards to the issue you asked us, I think the only thing we can do is capture the enemy." Van stated.

"How?" He asked.

"We tried to workout whatever it is their trying to create." Zander stated.

The three spent the whole night trying to unravel the truth behind the spell while Karin paced back and forth in her room with the necklace in hand unable to approach Arata with Seiji and Theo guarding the corridors, Will and Andrew guarding the entrance to Arata's room and the others keeping their eyes on her from relative distances.

While they were talking, the Crest of Ancients had gathered in a meeting.

"In regards to the issue of Pierrot, I suggest we execute him when we find him." One stated.

"Very well." The other answered.

"Hey, can I go and meet the Le Fleur yet?" Another asked.

"Soon. Wait a little longer, brother." Another answered.

"I'm not waiting any more. I've been waiting for over ten years since we first felt its presence." Another stated. "The Fleur is right before my eyes, I have to reason to wait any longer. My purpise is to be it's shield and protect it. Now is that time."

"Indeed. I agree with him." Another seconded.

"Very well. But do not frighten or cause trouble for our master. We, the Crest of Ancients have waited for this day for generations." Another said. "The Time is nearly upon us, when our master shall achieve his goal. Let us be his strength as he accomplishes this feet!"

"But be sure to keep your eyes on that woman." Another said. "She is very much a stain that must be removed."

"How dare she think of harming our Fleur." Another said. "However, we cannot harm her, we shall leave her to the Swords and Vassal Braves."

"Very well." Another answered.

"Well then. With this, I adjurn this meeting." Another stated and with a joyous agreement they ended their meeting.

After they adjurned their meeting, each went their seperate ways and began to try and find a way to meet the Le Fleur without scaring him. The Crest of Anceints are made of the followers and the Crown Seats. There are twelve seats and each has only one goal in mind. To be of use to the Le Fleur.

While each party was figuring out their problems, the Chimeras werw nearing their rivival and the finale was drawing near. As each piece of the puzzle began to fall into place, the stage was nearly set and time was coming closer.
