Arc 3 Gate of Caelum, Chapter 17, Sky

It's been a month since Ethan became the eight changed Brave. I haven't gotten into any problems lately and have been enjoying my gentle days. Though I have been gaining strange abilities.

"Hey, bad news." Hiro said as he joined us on the table.

"What is it?" Andrew asked.

"Apparently there's been lots of movement in the Chimera Nest to the south of the city." Hiro said.

"Chimera Nest are areas of land that have been devoured by the Chimera's right?" I asked.

"Yeah. They are towns, lands or even countries that have been taken by Chimeras, often we have difficulty defeating the Chimera's that have nested there." Reinhardt said. "If I'm not wrong, the one that is nested in the south of the city is a Capricorn."

"Yeah. Ten years ago, a strong Capricorn appeared at the south of the city. Since then that part of the city has been abandoned."

"So?" William asked. "Did something happen?"

"According to records, the Capricorn that claimed that area fell into a dormant state but... it seems to be on the verge of awakening." He answered. "So the school is gathering forces to subjugate it. Freelance Braves and Sects are being gathered."

"The south..." I murmured to myself.

"Something wrong?" Diana asked. We were currently at the dining hall.

"It's strange." I answered. "I can sense something but can't identify it."

"What do you mean?" Lina asked.

"The natural energy that all living things give off flows in the air, the beasts disrupt this force and cause chaos." Diana said. "They air is calm and pure."

"So you're saying that we might be mistaken?" Rienhardt asked and we nodded.

"Why do you think the Capricorn was active?" I asked. "I can't say for sure but I can't exactly sense it's presence."

"In the south, there's been distortions in the natural space." Hiro answered. "So the first thing we thought of was the Chimeras."

"A key opens the gates, voyagers from the foreign world descend. The blood of an ancient is awakened." Diana says in a trance. "Ugh... a permonition?"

"Ugh... my head feels dizzy." I said and suddenly my mind goes blank and but this time there aren't any people.

"The tenth of the Thirteen Chimeras, Capricorn, the ones that distorts not only distorts space but also everything around it." A male voice said. "It's possible that they can even force open Gates of Caelum and drag innocent beings from our worlds to another."

"What's more, they're power of altering or distorting anything and everything grow as they grow older. In a couple years or so, a Capricorn is capable of distorting time and space itself." A female voice said. "It can even grow so powerful that it can alter a person's memory. We have to be careful when facing this one."

"Ugh..." My head felt like it was splitting. "It's been a while since I had a vision."

"What was it?" Reinhardt asked.

"It was information about Capricorn." I answered. "It can distort not only space but the laws of nature and logic itself."

"Then could it mean..." Diana asked.

"Yes. It's likely bending the laws of Vi. The law that grant Braves their abilities." I answered. "Specifically the Brave's ability to sense it's presence. Which is why you can't sense it."

"Then it might be a dangerous mission." Hiro said and I nodded.

Suddenly, the gongs rang loudly and we all go to the battle field. The shores of Wings Academy, where an Aquarius, a woman made of water has appeared.

While tending to the wounded my body feels heavy. The air is humid and damp dispite it being already fall. What's going here?

"So, the reason Aquarius has been known as the one that spreads far isn't just because it can spread far using water." The female voice before says. "It can also go with the wind. It's age gives it its ability."

"Yeah. So be careful. The more it spreads proves it age. The older a Chimera the wiser it is in combat." The male voice answered. "Worse is that when it spreads its difficult to pin point the heart."

"Then we just have to gather the droplets in one place." A voice answered. It's very similar to my voice but different. "For this, what's needed is the Undine Armlet."

Before I come to I see an image, an armlet with silver chains and a bright blue aquamari gem at the center When I come to I notice everyone else is having trouble breathing. The air... is it by any chance... filled with water so dense that the oxygen has been depleted.

"This is bad... if this keeps up... we won't be able to last... long..." Rachel, a girl from Course 7 with green eyes, golden hair and white skin.

"Why aren't you affected by it?" Lina asked.

"You're right... I'm perfectly fine." I said checking myself.

Things go from bad to worse, everyone is about to suffocate except me. As I try to help Lina I slip and end up touching the ground with my hand. My hand suddenly enters the ground, I pull it out and an armlet of silver hue with a blue gem at the center was on my right hand which had sunk to the ground.

"This is... the Undine Armlet." I said. It matches the one I saw before awakening. This armlet... it can contain the Aquarius.

I run out and seek where the others are. I find them grasping for air and slowly losing consciousness. I can't waste any more time.

"Activate... Undine Armlet." I said and the gem grew bright.

The air suddenly grows lighter and I notice streams of water begin to gather. They all accumulate and become a giant orb of water. Then, all the water stops gathering and the giant orb infront of me begins to freeze. Then, at the center, a crystal begins to form and the ice surrounding it shatters and nothing is left.

"A... Arata?" Liam looked at me as he began to regain consciousness.

I fall to my knees in exhaustion. I can't even feel the Vi in my body. I'm left with nothing but the armlet which soon disappears.

"What was that?" Zhen asked.

"The Undine Armlet." I answered as my Crest glowed bright. "I think... it's one of my weapons."

Just then, a bright ray of light shines on us. I can fight now. I can fight against the Chimera's. Even if it's slowly, I'm regaining the power of who I was before.
