Arc 2: Petals Chapter 5, Brave of the Sacred Gun

His Brave Mark was gone completely. There's nothing there anymore on his back.

"How did this happen?" Mom asked afraid.

She was extremely worried. Usually Titles aren't lost easily. We either hand them down or their stolen. She's worried because William's Title has been passed down in our family for generations. It's part of who William is.

"It's not like my power is gone. I can still create guns and bullets." William said as Andrew and Liam let him go. He created a gun and bullet easily and so we knew his ability wasn't lost. "It's just my Title has been changed."

"Changed? Changed to what?" I asked.

"Brave of the Sacred Gun." He answered. "It changed right after I was healed and this Brave Mark appeared."

"Speaking of which, how were you healed?" Hiro asked as he came and looked at me and a sigh of relief escaped his mouth. "I was worried out of my mind thanks to both of you."

"Don't know either." He said. "All I felt was a warmth engulfing me as I drew my last breaths in Arata's care."

"Could it have been Arata's ability?" Alistar asked.

"Possibly. Why not try it out?" William asked and cut a small wound on his palm. "Try to heal it."

"Okay." I said and held his hand. We wait, but nothing happens.

"Zhen." He passed his hand to Zhen who healed it while he patted my head with his free hand. "How did you do it last time then?"

"I don't remember. All I thought was... I didn't want my brother to die." I said.

"Well, whatever happened, we can only observe your condition for now." Ethan said.

"You've been out for three days. Do you want something to eat?" Mom asked.

"Three days?!" I exclaimed and a growl escaped my stomach. "Hehehe, please."

Mom smiled and I leaned back against the headboard of the bed. As I leaned back, my mind felt hazy and I closed my eyes and when I opened it again, I saw Liam. He was wrapped in chains and dropped into the sea. As he sank to the bottom what I saw was the water turning red. Blood. Did he have a wound?! The next thing I see are three people laughing. What soon follows is a giant pair of fishes, Pisces, appear from the water, it's carrying the dead body of Liam in its mouth and swallows it then it devours the three before they can react. Scared I spring awake, sweat dripping down my face.

"Arata? What's wrong?" William asked as he placed his hand on mine. Just then, Liam's phone vibrated. A text. He furrowed his brows.

"Something up?" Zhen asked.

"Someone is texting me. Saying that I should meet them at the port to talk." He said.

"Don't go!!" I exclaimed and grabbed his hand.

"Arata?" Liam was worried. "Why shouldn't I go?"

"I have this awful feeling. The same feeling before that Taurus appeared." I answered my voice unsteady. "Something bad might happen if you go."

"I'm glad that you're worried about me but I'll be fine. Don't worry." He said but I couldn't shake the feeling.

"Then, atleast don't go alone." I told him.

"Okay then. If it makes you feel more reassured." He said and I lied back down.

----

"Arata's finally asleep." I said as I sat down.

"How is he?" Liam asked.

"Still shaken. I've never seen him that worried before." I answered. "Liam. Just to be safe, don't go alone."

"Okay then." He answered.

I offered them rooms but everyone wanted to go home so I let them. When I went back up to Arata's room, I find him up and walking about.

"Arata~." I called his name and he turns to me.

"Oh, William." He smiled.

"What are you doing?" I asked him.

"I'm going after Liam. What else?" He asked and my smile was replaced by a scowl.

"Why? He said he'd go with someone." I answered.

"Do you really believe him?" He asked and I can't help but sigh. Judging by Liam's personality he would go alone. "Please. Let me go. I have this awful feeling deep down."

"Alright. But I'm going with you." I said and he nodded.

I drove the car and we headed for the port in town. I'm taken by surprise when Arata knows the port better than I do when he probably hasn't ever been here before.

We watch from a distance and soon Liam comes to the docks. A man soon follows him, I can't see the man's face but what I see is two more men ganging up on Liam. Instinctively I grab Arata and have him hide and create a gun and aim but it seems Liam has it. He easily takes out two when the third disarms him and hit him. He falls to the ground on his knees and as I take aim another wraps him in chains and they sink him down into the water.

"I'll go after him." Arata said and I nodded. Despite how he looks, Arata is actually a pretty good swimmer. As long as he is conscious that is.

"Here, use it to break the chains." I hand him a gun and he dives into the water while I go after the three who are currently enjoying their victory.

----

I dived into the water, I swim quickly and reach Liam, his conscious but if I don't get him back up soon he'll drown. I break the chains with a bullet and half-haul, half guidd him up to the surface. There's a wound on his forehead but other than that I see nothing. I pull him up to the water in time to see William capture the three people who did this to Liam.

When we get on land, William takes Liam. Liam coughs up water and I immediately check him. There's nothing besides the small wound on his forehead and a small bump on the back of his head that must've come from the hit earlier. I help him as he calms down, his breathing returns to normal as he coughs up the last of the water. His soaked but Liam's fine.

While I'm tending to his injuries I see something in the water and I immediately grab Liam and William and move away from the water.

"What's wrong?" Liam asked.

"It's coming..." I answered.

"What's coming?" William asked.

"Pisces." I answered as the giant pair of fishes, no eels, emerged from the water. Their scales shining in the moonlight.
