Store

Both, Jun and Sheila didn't agree on, only Raiden and Toshi going out to the store. They wanted to go out there with them too. So, they both spoke simultaneously.

"I will go, too."

"I will go, too."

Sheila looked toward Jun as she heard him utter out that sentence.

"Why do you need to go?" She asked.

"I can ask the same to you. Why do you need to go?" He replied with a question.

Sheila looked annoyed and she was about to erupt out on Jun but Raiden interrupted before that.

"Hey! Chill. You both don't have to come. We can take care of it."

"No. You guys need more strength. You don't know what might be out there," Sheila said.

"Yeah, that's why I'm saying to take me with you," Jun said.

Sheila angrily looked at Jun, "Are you trying to imply that I'm weaker than you?"

Jun got extremely frightened, "No! No! No! I didn't mean that at all."

"Oh, no, you can try your luck against me," Sheila folded the sleeves of her shirt up.

Sheila was a black belt in Karate so Jun didn't want to clash against her at all.

"No! No! No!" He continuously denied it in fear. "What I meant was that I should be the one to go because you are already powerful and knows how to deal with things but I'm not like that. We will be going out tomorrow so it would be a little better if I witness all those things today so I can be ready for tomorrow."

He gasped as he had said all that in one breath.

"Thinking about it like that, it does make a little more sense," Raiden agreed with Jun. "If you see all the things today, you won't hesitate as much tomorrow."

"Exactly!" Jun cheered up.

"Fine. You can go if that's what you want," Sheila calmed down and didn't go mad at Jun again.

"So, it's decided. Me, Toshi and Jun will go to the store and bring the supplies," Raiden said. "Anyone got any problem with that?"

He asked and waited to see if anyone did not agree with him. But, no one bugged in.

"Good. We will make our move this evening. First the supplies then the next day early in the morning, we will leave for Makie's house."

Everyone maintained eye contact with Raiden and nodded as to agreeing with the plan.

Their meeting was over. All the decisions were made. All the things were decided. All that was left was to execute those plans. And, it all will start this evening.

They spent the rest of the time chilling and doing nothing in particular. Sheila and Toshi went on to make lunch for everyone as time passed by. They enjoyed the remaining time of the day. Lots of talking, lots of making fun of each other and whatnot.

But, all the fun things stopped as the evening came in. It was 6 pm and also the time to move out. Raiden, Toshi and Jun carried three empty bags on their backs to carry all the supplies. They were ready to get going.

They reached at the main door. Both Sheila and Makie came to see them off and also to close the door behind them.

Jun calmed his heart and took a deep breath before they opened the door.

Sheila saw that he was really nervous, "You can still back out if you want."

"I can back out today but have to do it tomorrow," Jun said as he focused on going out on the streets.

Raiden looked back toward Sheila, "Don't worry, we will take care of him."

Sheila nodded and said, "Take care."

Makie also nodded.

Raiden turned back and opened the door. They all exited the house and went on the streets. The door was shut down behind their backs but they didn't turn to look behind. They needed to just move ahead. There was no turning back from now on.

They looked at each other and gave the sign that they were ready to go. They started marching forward, together.

It was past six and the sun had some time to set down. The streets where they walked by shone in red from the sun's rays and the red blood.

They encountered the corpses of the cops which Jun and Sheila told them about earlier. It was 4 dead bodies and they were killed by some sharp object, mainly some kind of knife.

They didn't look at the body for too long and walked past it. They could see the next turn of the street and they knew that the store was right there.

There wasn't much tension among them. Even Jun looked a lot less nervous as he walked down the path. He was getting used to silently walking on that street.

There were no corpses on the streets but it had a lot of blood stains here and there. And, luckily for them, no monsters were walking on the streets either.

They reached the turn.

Toshi took the lead and went close to the edge of the turn. He peeked past it and then entered the new street.

He looked back toward both Raiden and Jun and nodded to tell them that the ahead was safe to go. They both entered the new street along with Toshi.

The store was just ahead of them, at some distance.

The streets were empty, too. It looked like a piece of cake to reach the store.

They again started their silent march.

Now, the store was getting closer to them.

It didn't take long until they finally reached the store.

The store was big and had transparent glasses attached so anyone could look inside.

They first inspected the entire store from the outside to detect if any monster was present inside. But, as far as they could tell, they saw no monster. The store looked completely empty.

It was not certain that the store was empty. There still could be some monsters hidden inside which they could not have been able to see from the outside.

But, whatever the case, they had to go in. Even if the monsters were inside or not, they had to move in. To get the supplies and to keep moving ahead on the path they had chosen.

They opened the gate of the store and entered inside.
