Can I Do This

She meditated in the ways of the dryad but instead of only absorbing power from the earth, she absorbed the dense elemental powers of all the things around her. For three days straight she absorb, meditated and grow her inner powers, she felt them forming a circular ball within her body separate but bonded together in a tight ball within her very soul.

After the third day she felt the elemental source was weaker not as dense as before and hope that this might help a little. She also found where this elemental source was coming from and knew instinctively that in order to restore balance it would have,to be contained or neutralized.

She heard the wolf signaling a emergency and raced to see what was happening, but even swinging through the trees she was last to arrive. The small white female she had met the first day here was holding her stomuch and curled in a ball. Only a slight whine of pain showed how sever the pain was for thewolf.

Fern felt the pain from both mother and child and saw the elemental fire burning, trying to wiggle it's way into her baby fetice very soul. This was monsterous because the werewolves fundamental element was earth based. This child would die or become mad from the mutation of blended souls.

Fern could not let this happen and raced forward trying to place her head to the mother wolf's. The wolf didcnot understand and shove her away and in the process her claws raked across her shoulder. Her one shove strong enough to dislocate her shoulder but Fern screamed fir help to hold her flat to the ground.

At first they just stood in fear and confusion then thealpha female gave the order and suddenly the pack sprung into action. Four weres were neede just to unclur and hold her straighter. She began to howl and her pain increased because the elemental power was slowly wiggling into the child's soul and burning the mother internally.

This time she was able to place her head to the mothers and the piece of elemental soul stopped for a second as if it was offered two types of food. However the baby was closer so it turned back towards its original target, Fern had to try something else maybe get closer to the source.

Fern placed her head directly over mother stomack as close to the child's soul as possible and opened her mind to the elemental power. This time there was no hesitation and the piece of soul came like lightning into her own soul. It was easily absorbed and then combined into the elemental ball within her body, it didn't seem to grow but the fire section flamed brighter before every thing equalized once again.

Fern passed out from blood loss after she healed the mother and child of the elemental damage. She thought for a second, to die in this way woulded be so bad. If she could really heal children it was a life worth living were taking a life had just felt wrong. Her existence was to heal not to take now she just had to figure out what exactly what to heal.

The following morning she woke up to sever pain in her arm, she had not felt it over the others pain but now it singed throughout her body. The Alpha female and several other females surrounded her and bowed their heads low. "Please don't do that, just let me be your friend? When you guys act that way it makes me feel like a outsider?, said Fern.

"We don't mean to make you feel that way, its just that you have the power of a god and seem to help without wanting. It is our way or showing reverence to you, we feel unworthy of your assistance,"replayed the Alpha.

"Let's start again I am Fern and I am not a,god as you can tell by my wounds. Good stitching by the way, I heal fast but could one of you put my shoulder back in place." "Greeting I am called Moon's Grace but you may address me as Grace and I am the matriarch of this pack but we don't know how to help your arm."

"Ok can you help me stand up and then pull my arm downward quickly until you hear a pop or I until I scream or yell stop. Please Grace truthfully the pain from dislocation is worst then my wound and it will hurt worst the longer we wait."

I quick jerk later where I cussed in dryad till the pain calmed I was finally inducted into the pack. Names were exchanged and finally they let me wonder around their burrows and den meeting house. The white mother wolf came and gave me a hug and I checked the baby they were both doing fine and showed no more invading soul particles.

After asking around I was brought to the currently impregnated females all, showed sighs of heavy elemental poisoning and some of their fetuses were being mutated and probably would be miscarried or kill mother and child if they came to full term. I could pull the elemental poisoning out and heal the child and mother but due to the contamination in this region it be a unending process.

That night I prayed for guidance and knowledge in order to stop these beautiful beings from the constant pain and suffering that came from these unbalanced and unnatural mutations. As I fell into the land of dreams, I saw the giant swirling ball of elemental power before me. From within it I could hear voices.

Stepping forward I placed my forehead to the ball were the powers met and then I could hear their voices clearly. The first Voice came from fire, "I can offer you power like no other, we could rein the world and create a perfect one were only our fire children could live a world were only fire or its kin could survive." "

Next came the voice of water, " Dont listen to that old fool without water, nothing could live, chose me and we can make a world were water could rule. A green and blue calming world, one that would sooth you I would let you have perfect rest and peace?"

Wind and Earth started to shout saying their various skills at the same time, " I am the ground beneath your feet nothing grows without me, we should be the ones to rule! " " "No, who do you all think you are, without wind and air nothing lives, we together could snoof out all life, fire or even deprive water from forming. Together we could move the earth to our command."

Finally the two voices stopped talking, and darkness started to talk, " With my power you could not only do the same as the others but we could even bring the dead and spirits to do our bidding. Sweet darkness can be a,great comfort for those lost and alone We could rule the living and dead for eternity never to truly have our friends die.

Lastly the light spoke, I am the one who warms the world, but I do not wish to rule it all alone. I can offer hope, healing and even enlightenment. Chose me and we can see this new world take shape without ruling and subjugation just perfect peace. I can promise a perfect world and what happens will be the will of the the ones born of pure light. I would never prevent you from healing or doing what we decide is right.

Lastly Fern heard her own voice ask, "Can any of these elementals really exist independently without the others to make this world balanced. However if one is overbearing or tried to rule the others they if brought back would wreck havoc upon this world once again. Could you entirely erased elemental energy from this world wouldn't that cause this world to loss the very things their spirits talked about? This you will have to decide.
