Lingering feelings

No great cure would be achieved without an equivalent amount of effort and or pain. Thus, as soon as the medicine had entered her body, Lily felt as if millions of ants had invaded her interior and were digging into her body. The pain was insufferable. It was driving her mad.

She thought she had died but it seemed she didn't...or maybe and now she was in hell. She tried to open her eyes, but her eyelids were too heavy. She couldn't move any of her limbs, she couldn't move any muscles. And the pain kept increasing. Why was someone so bent on torturing her?

She didn't do anything, was minding her own businesses, suddenly she got thrown in the forest, beaten... and maybe worse... by thugs and now this...If she wasn't dead she wished she were.

Tears were escaping from her closed eyes as she was trying to endure as much as possible.

"The pain shall pass soon. It is, but nothing than a minor trial. You will overcome this. This Lord believes in you."

The voice was soothing Lily, bringing her comfort. At least, she wasn't alone in this hell. She couldn't think too much but there was hope. Her courage renewed, she kept enduring and a few days passed. As days were going, it seemed the pain was also getting duller.

Lily was now able to think clearly even though she was still not able to move a muscle. Someone was feeding her, cleaning her, dressing her wounds, talking to her. Sometimes it would be a young girl's voice, sometimes it would be a gruffy one, sometimes an elderly one. But the voice that kept her going was yet to be heard.

"She is healing well, her external injuries had fully healed and her internal should be healed in another day or so, my Lord"

"Good"

He entered the room and saw her still asleep in the bed. The moonlight was beautifully reflected on her face, showcasing her exquisite features. Her long black hair were laying on each side, framing the perfection of her beauty. She was like a living painting.

He was so glad he had saved her. At the same moment, Lily was finally able to open her eyes.

The first thing she saw was that beautifully carved face sitting next to her. She was so enthralled by this stranger's face she forgot to breathe. Under the faint light, his skin was glowing like a jade piece. His beauty was inhumane, otherworldly. He had to be a god or some sort of deity. And the god was now looking back at her with his inquisitive silver eyes.

"How are you feeling?"
