24 Part 24 - Plans revealed … finally.

Shoutout to 'SlumberGod' who almost found out Escanor's plan.

(Escanor POV)

To explain what happened to Tywin was a hard task. Tywin never paid any attention to magic and put the stories of dragons and magicians off as fairy tales. So when I told him and demonstrated him ‚Sunshine' he was beyond surprised.

He didn't show it on his face though. He was still the same stoic man he ever was, but there was a major slip in his demeanour.

After many hours of telling him about my magic and also my connection to the sun, his curiosity was finally somewhat sated. It was honestly weird telling my father about ‚some' of my abilities. He was never truly interested in anything his children did if it didn't concern his legacy or the House Lannister.

This seemingly changed though. He was interested in my abilities and was probably wondering about their implication and effect on our House. After hours and hours of talking, we came to talk about a very sensitive topic. We had to talk about it sooner or later anyway and I would tell him the results of my investigations.

„So you are saying that you think Joanna did not die of natural causes?", Tywin said through his teeth.

He did NOT like to talk about this topic. He saw Tyrion as the reason for Mother's death and would not change his standpoint.

With the new information though … it seemed he was just minimally open to talk about this.

„Indeed Father. You see I was always quite aware of my surroundings and realized very early that Mother was weak and sickly. My birth was hard on her health. That's also the reason why I tried to saturate the air with my magic or energy if you will.

You might also have realized this already but when I use my ability people tend to calm down somewhat or just melt…

I used this to nourish her and improve her health. It did work until she got pregnant again. That took a lot of energy out of the mother. However, I managed to keep up my ‚treatment' and she got a lot stronger …

That is why I suspect foul play. I knew that Mother would not have died out of weakness because I made sure she survived and yet ... she still died."

"Who?"

"... I suspect the Maesters..."

"Maester Creylen? You think he did it on purpose and let Joanna die?", Tywin was about to explode.

"I believe the Maesters in general. All of them. The whole lot of that is hiding in the Citadel in Oldtown. I think they are trying to control Westeros and made sure Mother died to weaken our House and you."

"Tell me ... about your plan ... NOW!"

"My plan is complicated and quite hard to execute, but it should be possible. I'll explain it with House Bolton, something I wanted to do for a while now.

The plan is this: We know about the feud they had between them and House Stark. We shall use this to our advantage and have them and their supporters fight each other.

There are several steps we shall follow.

First: We shall collect all the information we can about the Maester currently in Dreadfort. We will find all the dirty little secrets he has. Should he not have any dirty secrets, which I doubt, we will bait him and give him some on our own. Like spreading rumours or having a woman seduce him or something like that.

With this, we will extort him and have him be loyal to us. We know nothing about the Citadel and with this, we can be sure he won't tell them anything about us and our plans.

Second: We will send instructions to the Maester in Dreadfort and have him tell Lord Bolton some things about how House Lannister would be interested in having House Bolton as the Lords of the North instead of the Starks.

We will promise him riches and all the other goodies that he might be interested in. The important part is that the Maester burns all our letters. We don't want to leave any evidence after all. The good Maester will be removed as well at one point.

Third: We will actually backstab the Starks and tell on the Boltons and their plan to start a rebellion. We will tell them all sorts of lies about how we wish to help them and whatnot. All some cheap lies that help us seem genuine.

This move is important as it will get us into their good graces and they might even have them take us into their confidence.

As 'nice' as we are, we will suggest the Starks wait before making a move to see who stands with the Boltons and then remove them all at once.

Fourth: After that, we will simply wait and see. Because no matter who wins in the end ... we will wait and reap what our enemies sowed themselves."

I stop a moment to give my father a moment to digest all this information. It took a while for me to come up with that plan. It was not a particularly good plan and the amount of problems that could come up was enormous.

"... the idea is not without merit. However, we will change some things and then ... maybe it can be done. What about the Citadel?"

"Ah, the Citadel ... well, we will do something different there. The Maesters in the Citadel must have some sort of goal. I am certain that there is some sort of organisation with goals that affect all of Westeros.

So what we will do is similar to what we do with the Maester in Dreadfort. We will extort those that can be extorted and use that information to access all their books and knowledge that they have in Oldtown.

We will have some of our people that are loyal to House Lannister that we will use as 'sleeper agents' and have them stay in the Citadel to make sure they do what we want. For all those that don't have anything to extort, we will either kill them or have them sent somewhere.

This will take quite a few resources on our part. We will need to infiltrate the Citadel first, then we need to find dirt on all of the Maesters and then we need to contact them to extort them. And all of that has to be done without anyone knowing.

The Tyrells are a big problem on that part as they have a close watch on the Citadel. Oldtown is also a very big port, making it hard to just force our way in or something like that."

Escanor took a moment and exhaled.

"That is the gist of things. We will use similar or the same methods for the other regions like the Crownlands, Dorne, and Riverlands.

The Vale has someone that I believe will be more useful for us instead of causing a rebellion. And the Riverlands would probably go to war with the Frey's for almost anything. No one really likes them and with Aunt Genna's help we can make something happen there as well."

"Is that it?", Tywin asked after a long time.

"Not entirely. There is a request I would like to make. I would like to create a group of people my age that will train with me and spend time with me. I want to create a group of fighters and helpers that stand with me through everything.

If possible I would like to choose them myself. Or maybe you have some ideas on who could join."

(Omni POV)

After talking some more with his father, they agreed on the plans and Tywin granted Escanor's request to create a group.

Now it was a matter of waiting and seeing their plans bear fruit.
