14 Chapter 13: Amelie Geneviève

Torii's P.O.V.

"And you are?" I said, pointing my nails at her.

"U-Uhm... I'm Amelie, Mister... Amelie Geneviève ." The woman said as she shivered. Is she scared or what? Oh wait, I shouldn't let my guard down.

"And?" I said with a cold tone. I felt her shiver intensifies, but I still did not let her off.

"U-Uhm..." She stuttered in a nervous manner. "I-I'm 19 years old, and my Flair is Cell Rejuvenation. That's all I have really have, kind Sir. I am really really sorry if I did something wrong to you. Please accept my deepest apologies. I really mean no harm to you, Mister..." The girl said, and I can truly sense the sincerity in her words.

"There is power in names," I said, completely shutting off the topic. The girl named Amelie nodded.

Ugh, how troublesome. I am quite being a bit rude for not telling anything about me when she introduced all of the necessary details of herself, however, I don't want her to know my identity. Rather, I don't want to explain my identity to her. Especially since my name alone is a disgrace to humanity.

Leaving that aside, this girl, coincidentally, is who I am looking for. That Cell Rejuvenation Flair is amazing indeed. She can literally heal every single living thing without ease. That is if it has no drawbacks.

"U-Uhm... this question is really rude indeed, but... can you please take off your heavenly hands off my lowly body? Ah! I'm sorry if this is really rude." The girl politely pleaded.

Ah. I almost forgot that her life is still at the brink of death because of me. My bad. I took off my hands off her, and my fingers went back to normal. The girl sighed and thanked me immediately, which I found weird.

I know how polite she is, but, this is way on another level. She reminds me of Yalden's kindness and politeness, but she's on another level. Like, way more higher. If you will ask me, that life sucks. Being controlled and manipulated by others' will, while they don't consider yours? No thanks. It's like a world filled with suffocating air. Ugh.

Anyhow, I really need to make this girl say yes in my deal. Basically, I'll ask her if she wants to work with us. If she says no, funny. If she says yes, terrific. We have a new healer, which, actually, fits the whole First Phase. Well, some of it. Of course, there's still a ton to handle, but we'll somehow get there. Somehow.

"Let's make this quick." I nonchalantly said, which made the girl confused, but still with an innocent face. "Answer yes or no only."

"A-Anything for you, kind Mister." The woman respectfully said as she bowed. Just how high is this girl's courteousness?

"Basically, I and my comrades are building a place where everyone is safe from this hell and live a free life. This definitely sounds surprising, possibly psychotic as well, but do you wish to join us? What we can do in exchange for your abilities are only food, water, clothing, shelter, and your safety. We guarantee everything that I have said. Of course, you can think of it. I'll give you plenty of time." I explained.

"Yes... Sire." Without any hesitation, Amelie Geneviève said yes to my request the moment I finished my words.

Woah. I think this is a good opportunity. No, this is definitely a good thing. But... how can she hastily say yes? Not that she's suspicious or anything, but putting her trust in other people so easily might... no, it will put her in danger, seeing how humans' minds are so unclean and mad. Not that I'm mad about that though.

"Okay...? Terrific. But may I know why did you not hesitate?" I asked. "If anything is private, you can totally ignore my question," I added. Of course, I shouldn't meddle with a person's personal life. Especially since I am just basically a stranger to her.

"It's fine, Sir. I just found your words interesting and wonderful, I couldn't help but say yes the moment I am given the chance to. I know that trusting someone is rash, but seeing how you saved me from those goblins, as well as your goal to build a free and safe town is just so majestic. Truly, what a great man you are." Amelie Geneviève said respectfully.

Seeing how she praise me so much managed to make me let my guard a little bit down to her. The feeling of being praised is truly good, however, I know for a fact that I shouldn't be too comfortable and all. Plus, I killed the goblins for my safety, since I never knew that she was begging for my help. This might cause trouble, but for now, let's just say something that can make her mind enlightened.

"I am grateful for how high you think of me, but I am telling you. I'm not what you think I am. Majestic? You are just so pure and polite, but if you know who I truly am, I will accept any type of reaction you will give." I explained. I looked at her expression, and I can see pity in her eyes.

Now that's a bit offensive. Nevertheless, we need to go home and introduce Amelie to all three of them. They might create a ruckus, especially Klyde, but that's why I love being with them.

"Anything you want before we leave?" I asked, looking at her. She smiled.

"Sir, this sounds really impudent and demanding, but..." She interrupted, and I can definitely sense melancholy in her words.

"Yes?" I asked, telling her to continue on what she is about to say.

"Kind Sir, can you please give me a red rose? Just one is enough. Sorry if I'm so demanding." She politely said, bowing in front of me very formally.

"Stand straight. Here's what you want, right?" I said, holding 12 red roses in my hands. She was a bit surprised, but her happiness was what eradicated her shock.

"T-thank you very much!" She took the roses from me very politely, and when she admired the roses from her hands with pure innocence and beauty, it made me smile. Though, it was easily shrugged off, and my face went back to normal, fierce, strict, and serious.

I can't deny that I'm having fun though.
