29 Talking With Evelyn

"Evelyn..? Why have you been trying to reach me? Oh, not that I'm unhappy by that idea of course! Don't get me wrong, I-!"

"Hildegarde, Hildegarde~! I know, I know. Always the awkward one with conversation, aren't you? Well, I suppose that's to be expected with someone raised on a Ranch... Speaking of, how is it? Your Ranch, I mean. I got quite lucky~!"

The haughty smile made me smile too as I replied "Oh, well... it was a process getting the fields cleared, and I desperately need to get some more hands around to help me out, but otherwise... I'm really happy with it!"

"That's excellent... settling in just well then? Was your manor in good condition? Oh, and what did you get for your free egg? I got quite lucky and received a Cowkin; she should be hatching sometime soon here..."

The Noblewoman began to comb that silky ocean of purple hair, presumably staring at the mirror beside her Communication Crystal as she started her nighttime routine whilst talking to me.

"It was a Goatkin, and she should hatch soon too. I purchased a few other eggs as well, and I went ahead and got a Wolfkin to help out right away. Speaking of, Evelyn, are you going to be in need of guards sometime soon? Crima - the Wolfkin - wants to have a large pack, but I simply don't have the space or money just yet. We discussed selling their services though, and I suppose now will be a good time to ask?"

Glancing back at me, Evelyn pursed her lips before looking back at the mirror, running the comb through her locks as she answered "Perhaps. I decided to just invest some of my personal funds into some monster wards for the time being. Otherwise, I have a couple Chickenkin, that Cowkin, and I splurged to get myself a Tigerkin egg imported. Should be here within the week..."

"A Tigerkin?! Evelyn, are you going to be able to-!"

An arrogant laugh cut me off as she grinned into the crystal, her purple eyes brimming with power as she said "Hildegarde dear, I can control some measly Tigerkin easily. Especially one that hatches within my own manor. You should be more worried about what will happen to the Tigerkin if it decides to become an idiot..."

That made my bite my lip as I held in a sigh, not wanting to try and argue with the Noblewoman about how dangerous and complicated Tigerkin can be, nor about how such a rare Demi Human should be treasured no matter what.

She caught that as she amusedly said "Hildegarde, I won't kill the Tigerkin if she acts up. I'm not that stupid or arrogant to believe I am above the law. However, I have no issue admitting I will absolutely let the Tigerkin know her place if she acts up via some... what is it that you commoners say? Tough love, I believe.

Anyways, that aside, did you notice that the soil here is beyond what the Academy prepared us for? It's so rich in mana! Why, my tea has already grown, and its leaves are larger and more fragrant than normal! It's absolutely astonishing! Oh, and the corn is around twice the size too, I suppose..."

"You as well?! The soil here is absolutely amazing! I've only really harvested the wheat and corn, but my wheat is excellent! It yielded way more heads than usual, and the kernels! Oh they're so big!"

I didn't notice how she smirked at that, nor did I notice that I had leaned closer to the crystal - and in doing so, let the Noblewoman see that I was topless as my chest swayed just out of sight for her.

"Hopefully they produce a better wheat crop when they grow again, and if they do I could send you some! Did the tea have better seeds than usual, or was the yield just better?"

"Ahem... it was some good seeds that the plants produced, but nothing special. Bit bigger than normal; harder too, so maybe they could survive harsher environments? Perhaps somewhere with more moisture and just wetter in general..."

Licking her lips, Evelyn stared at the crystal intently before leaning away and setting down her comb, her eyes filled with something that I didn't pick up on as I excitedly listened to Evelyn, unaware that the Noblewoman was currently ogling my visage in the crystal.

"So that's quite nice to hear, I suppose. Say, I was wondering; would you mind making a trip down to my Ranch sometime soon? I need someone to breed my Demi Human's for me, and I'd rather it be someone I can trust. We can talk more about those Wolfkin too when you get here."

"Evelyn... you can't always just avoid Demi Human's like this, you know that right? Besides, it is apart of your job description to be the one to initiate the breeding with them, be it with another Demi Human or with yourself..."

She frowned at that, resting her chin on her hand as she looked at me for a few moments before saying "Hildegarde, I believe I've made myself clear to you before. I don't look down on Demi Human's like some people do; I love them, honestly. I just... can't find it in myself to have sexual relations with one. For a few reasons. Not a Human Supremacist or anything, alright? Just... not my cup of tea, I suppose. Aren't you similar though? Just opposite of me."

I blushed, wondering if I should tell her I was already pregnant before I just took a deep breath and smiled wryly at the crystal as I said "I guess... I am. I mean... Crima and I are already expecting, so it wouldn't be wrong to say that I prefer Demi Human's over Human's..."

That made her raise a perfectly trimmed brow as she dryly asked "Already? That was fast... But is that a yes, Hildegarde? In about... let's say a week and a half, would you come over and breed my Demi Human's for me? Then we can chat and trade and all that..."

I also missed how hungry her gaze became as I nodded, eager to see her in person again and discuss all sorts of things about our Ranches; I was also unaware that her hand was currently moving up and down her throbbing erection as I took a step back, revealing my tits to her without realizing that either.
