5 Chapter 5

Gaku was sitting on a building with a sleep mask on.

He was snoring soundly in the middle of the day without a care in the world.

*FWOOSH*

A person with big red wings appeared on the building that Gaku was on.

*SWOOSH*

Some red and sharp feathers were sent toward Gaku who was peacefully sleeping.

But, they missed.

Gaku got up on his feet before the feathers could hit him and dodged.

He took his sleep mask off and said while looking at the feathered human. "Are you the one who woke me up?

Can you not?

I'd rather sleep."

The guy with feathers was the No.3 hero.

Hawks.

But unlike his usual expression, he had a blank expression and a scary look in his eyes.

Hawk's sharp eyes that resembled that of an eagle met Gaku's dark and deep red eyes.

"I finally found you, you villain."

"Oho.

Looks like I'm pretty famous, I didn't expect there to be the number 3 hero on my tail."

"Why did you do it?"

Gaku looked at him and said with a confused expression and said. "What?"

"Why did you kill the students? They've done nothing wrong, if you were angry on the heroes you should have attacked the heroes not them.

Tell me, why did you do it?"

"Oh, that.

I was just on a mission, no personal feelings were involved.

They were just unlucky to be there."

The look in Hawk's eyes became even scarier, you could only see see his eyes, it was like a shadows was covering his whole face.

"There's no use talking to scum like you."

Gaku didn't say anything.

'Wasn't he sensitive to sound because of his feathers ?

Let's see how he handles this.'

*BOOM*

Gaku clapped his hands.

He clapped his sounds so hard that a sonic boom was heard in the vicinity.

Hawks felt disoriented and thought his ears were about to explode.

*BOOM*

Gaku arrived high up in the air near him and punched him in the chest.

Gaku punched him so hard that he was sent flying through multiple buildings.

Unlike his fellow assassins, he enjoys a good physical fight even though he was trained to become the biggest killing machine there is by his boss.

The freedom he never had is expressed his desire to have fun in a fight, the only thing he's good at.

Hawks couldn't even begin to get up, Gaku was above him while he was midair with his leg raised upwards.

*BOOM*

Hawks was sent straight into the ground and Gaku was still up in the air.

Gaku looked at Hawks and saw that he was shielding himself with his wings.

Gaku had a little smile on his face and he and said. "Seriously...

What a thrill."

He disappeared from the air and reappeared besides Hawks who was up on his feet with his fist going towards his face.

*SWOOSH*

Hawks flied backwards avoiding the punch to his face.

*BAM*

Gaku brought his hand back and kicked the rubble that was on the ground towards Hawks.

While Hawks was busy deflecting the rubble , Gaku was already behind him with a metal bat going towards his head.

Hawks turned around with his eyes wide open and thought. 'My feathers should have sensed the vibrations, but he was awfully quiet, I barely picked up anything!'

*BAM* *BOOM*

The bat connected with Hawks's face and he was sent flying through two buildings.

Gaku looked at his broken bat and said. "And it was supposed to be made out of some tough alloy, it broke after one hit."

*SWOOSH*

Hawks appeared in front of Gaku with a blade of feathers aimed at his head.

Gaku's eyes were wide and he thought. 'He's more resilient than I thought.

If this hits me, I'll probably die…

I hate to do it, but I'll have to use it…'

Gaku disappeared from his spot and appeared behind Hawks with his back turned to him.

!!!

"I didn't want to do it…

But you forced me to."

Hawks rapidly turned around, but that was a mistake.

*VWAM*

In an instant, Hawks had a cut going from his left shoulder to the right part of his abdomen.

!!!!

Gaku had his hands in his pocket looking at Hawks. "It's not perfected, neither is it my style.

But I can fight like a true assassin if the situation calls for it.

It works best against strong enemies.

But against that old monster Takamura, this wouldn't work…"

Takamura is the one of the only people from Sakamoto Days that can give him a run for his money.

The other person being his boss who engraved into him the ideals of becoming the perfect assassin.

The cut revealed to be more grave than expected, Hawks fell to the ground, dizzy and with no strength left in his body.

He fell to the ground, probably dead.

The cut was done with a knife that Gaku summoned from his inventory.

The slash was so powerful that even the place on the ground near it was cut.

[Ding!

Mission completed.

By killing Hawks you were able to wreak havoc in this world.

Additional rewards will be granted for killing the future No.2 hero.]

Gaku decided to first leave this scene before any other heroes would come here.

*WOOSH*

He disappeared from his spot and he said while running.

"Looks like I only had to kill some famous hero in order for the quest to be completed.

Well, while I had a chance to beat All Might it is only because he's not in his prime and heavily injured."

The moved he used against Hawks as the last blow, was the one that his boss engraved into him when he was little.

Together with a style that's quiet and makes you almost undetectable to your enemies.

But he doesn't like it, he only uses it in the most dire situations or when he's not in the mood to fight someone.

He stopped running and said looking at his system. "What are the rewards ?"

[The first reward is Gaku's mace.]

A mace appeared in Gaku's hands.

His eyes widened and he said. "This is my mace!

I thought it was weird that I didn't find it, it was a reward from the system."

The mace he is talking about is a cube-headed mace, it has spikes on it's head and a futuristic cannon inside that can blow someone's head off.

It was covered in bandages, similar to his arms and he started spinning it around.

He put it back in his inventory and said. "What's the other reward?"

[Accelerated Adaptability, now you posses the power to adapt to anything speeds that normal humans can't even dream of.]

"Cool.

Like in the video games then."

He realized that this power can and will come useful in the future but he brushed it aside.

He looked from the corner of his eye to the system hologram and said with a yawn. "What's next?

What world will you send me too, at least make it more exciting for me."

He froze while he was yawning and said with a bead of sweat going down his forehead.

"Oi, come on!

Aren't you jumping the gun?

Even I can't deal with the monsters over there!"

[You said to make things more fun for you, so I chose the hardest mission I had at hand based on your strength.

But you can be at ease, it isn't that hard.]

Gaku calmed down and said with his usual stoic expression. "What's the mission then?"

[There are two missions this time.

Make a teammate.

Kill one celestial dragon.]

Gaku looked at the hologram with a blank expression and said. "That's alright, I guess.

It's better than having me fight a dragon or a guy who can create earthquakes with his punches.

Send me there."

Gaku was enveloped by a light and when he opened his eyes, he was on a boat.

"What a great starting point."
