Samuel texted him a couple of times and even called him but to no avail.

Honestly, he doesn't know why the other boy left. He could understand Luka's anger at realizing that Moore was previously bullied but to leave without any explanation and leave Moore confused and sad?

Ah.

I'm a hypocrite, he thinks.

"More chicken?" Hazel hands him the plate of chicken thighs.

"Thanks," He smiles at her and takes a single chicken thigh. 

"No problem," She turns to Yule who sat beside her. "How about you, Yule?"

"Absolutely, thank you!"

Everyone laughed at the boy's enthusiasm except Moore who was still absentmindedly putting more meatballs on his plate.

Samuel decides to nudge him with his foot. "You're taking more than you'll actually be able to eat,"

Moore's eyes widened and his face reddened in embarrassment.  "Ah, sorry!"
