8 Lover's Bridge

The mischievous side Bai Shihan soon turned on. She had to do something she was really good at ever since childhood ,that is, sneak out without letting Driver Chen catch her.

When, Driver Chen was standing near her, asking her if she was ready to leave, she started coughing. She easily tricked him into believing that she was actually having a dry throat. Rather anyone would have believed just by the way she was acting. <It looked so true!>

"Young Miss, wait a minute, I will get you some water." driver Chen said out of concern as he turned to go.

"It's ok driver Chen. Maybe, it's because of the weather here. The wind is a bit chilly."

"Then, shall I get you some hot chocolate to drink." driver Chen said.

"Alright.. then."

Driver Chen knew hot chocolate was Bai Shihan's favorite. She used to drink it to refresh herself ever since, she was a kid.

But the reason, Bai Shihan agreed to have it this time was a bit different. She really liked hot chocolate. But she agreed to have it instead of drinking some water because water was easily available in any nearby store but hot chocolate was a bit difficult to find in the area near mountain. She knew that the nearest, it could be found was in a café downhill. It would at least take half an hour for a two-way trip.

She really did not want to worry driver Chen, by faking her discomfort. But she could not find any other way. As soon as he left, she began heading towards the lover's bridge. When she reached the entrance, she saw two people in black standing there. She asked for the permission to enter.

"Miss, today the shoot of a movie is going on, on the bridge. So, only limited people with VIP passes are allowed to enter. If you wish to go, you can get a VIP pass there." ,one of the two people said as he pointed to a counter. Bai Shihan went to the counter. She registered for VIP pass as she gave her black card to the person. The people behind began talking to themselves.

"A black card....She must be really rich."

Bai Shihan did not have other choice as she had already given her daily utility card to driver Chen.

She knew if they got to know who she was, it might be a problem. So, she quickly said,

"Uhmm...I am actually buying the passes on behalf my Boss. Please make it two. Give me one of them. Keep the other one for my Boss. You will know when he comes."

As, she had already created an "imaginary" Boss. She had to go on with the show.

(She could take only one ticket and go alone in front of them but they would think where was her boss. OR She could take two tickets, go in having both of them. Still, how would Boss go in then.)

So, she had just this one choice. Buy two tickets, take one and let the other remain with them for her BOSS.

"Oh ..Alright" the lady behind the counter said as she gave her a pass.

She showed the pass to the people, who were standing at the entrance and went in.

As she entered, she was spellbound. Just the vibe of it, could make the mind and body feel light. The entrance had a huge canopy of flowering trees, occasionally shedding flowers, which fell on the people entering, as if someone was welcoming them by showering flowers. The bridge had flowers on both sides. The bridge tiles were made of textured pink marble. There were many beautiful butterflies on the flowers. Most of them were bright blue or yellow in colour. The sight of bridge was a breath to behold.

As she reached the top, there were heart-shaped flowers which were labelled bleeding hearts (flower) and roses of almost all colours. There, was a small stream of clear water flowing under the bridge. In bright yellow sunlight, the water in the stream looked crystal-like. She had never seen such beautiful place. Then, she saw the platform, which now had the rose petals spread all over which may have been shed by the flowers above. Behind it was a board which had a beautiful picture of a man and a woman sitting with a blanket around theirs shoulders.

'So, this is probably, the platform where Chen and Yue spent the night according to the legend.'

She thought to herself as she tried to take in the beauty in front of her eyes.

Meanwhile, Nie Shufen was done reading his lines. It was just a romantic confession scene on the lover's bridge. He was a master of acting and the king of romance. It was a piece of cake for him. But it was an important scene in views of the director, as it was the first scene of the new actress. Also, many efforts had been put in to seek permission to shoot at lover's bridge. The background and place had been carefully selected to match the requirements of the movie.

Nie Shufen was sitting with his assistant, Bei Suzy.

"Who is the new actress? When is she going to come? Has she read her lines? Let's get this done quickly. " Nie Shufen bombarded Bei Suzy with his questions.

She was surprised to see her boss getting so impatient. 'Is it probably because of that accidental meeting with Ms. Bai.' She thought to herself but dare not ask.

"Uhmm.. Boss, we still don't know how she looks. She is called Kuang Ai. She does not much history in entertainment industry, just some roles, a few years back as a child actor. She has been chosen by the producer Mr. Shen Tai. Even, the director has never seen or tested her. But he could nothing about the decision of the producer. From what I have been told, she doesn't talk much to people so she never stays for the parties or group building activities. As of now, she is probably on her way here. She doesn't have much lines in this scene as it is a trailer-shoot. Just her close up facial-reaction has to be taken. So, you need not worry."

Nie Shufen nodded his head.

No one on the set had seen the new actress. They just knew that producer had himself chosen this actress. Many speculated that maybe she has an unspeakable relationship with the producer.

Just then, Bai Shihan reached that place of the bridge, where shooting was to be held. She had her back toward the crew. The sun was setting. The bright tinge of golden-yellow lightened and brightened her face. The gentle wind caressed her face and made her hair flow in the air. She slowly held the railing and turned to her side. Everyone, in the crew, could only see her side-face. They were simply mesmerized by her beauty and elegance.

"Roll, Camera Action!!"
