The afternoon delight

Jeremy flinched at the sudden act of cuteness from Linda, but it quickly registered that she may be jealous. He recalled a similar scene from the gallery, and he blushed to himself just thinking about such a stunning woman being possessive over him. He chuckled, "Yes babe, anything... ". 

Kimberly who was intensely waiting for Jeremy's reaction, accidentally dropped her pen, "Sorry Sir". Not only was she shocked by the discovery, but her face had turned red. The name 'Maggie' kept replaying in her head. She let out a silent sigh, then adjusted herself to being professional, after all, she had bills to pay, besides, she could just ask Maggie herself after taking the order. She got back up from underneath the table a new person, the confident waitress she knew she was, "Apologies for that sir, ma'am what would you like to eat?"

Linda was impressed by how fast she switched from being the nosy waitress who kept looking at her man to an employee of the year. If she wasn't her rival, she would poach her, but it was such a shame. She sighed softly, "May I have the fish salad and tonic Water please" 

She scribbled on her notepad, then with a smile, she replied, "Okay ma'am, coming right away." She cleared up the table, and only left Jeremy's glass, then turned towards the kitchen.

As soon as she was out of sight, Jeremy gave a soft laugh which made Linda blush, "What??"

"Nothing just that...for a gorgeous woman who turns heads around, you sure are possessive...", He replied casually.

Feeling embarrassed, Linda laughed awkwardly, "Ha ha, It's not like that. Me? Possessive? Please...

Jeremy raised his eyebrows, "Oh really??" 

Linda sighed, with a serious look, "Fine. You are right. Look I know I said it's strictly contractual, so if you say you don't like it. I will stop doing it... "

He hurriedly chimed in, "Don't stop! It's cute.", he didn't want her to think that he was not happy about it.

They both blushed, although they weren't sure what it was, but at that point, they felt that there was something between them.

Jeremy cleared his throat, and with a serious face he spoke, "And Linda, that thing that happened last night-" 

Linda jumped in before he could finish assuming he wanted to declare it a mistake and she didn't want him to feel guilty about it just because it was her first time.

She spoke casually, "Oh we don't have to do it again, I mean it was alcohol yeste-" 

"Exactly what I wanted to say", Jeremy said in support. Besides, after what she said, he didn't want to appear as if he took it too seriously, thus he continued to explain, "It was alcohol. We were both under the influence. So it's not a big deal"

Talking about the encounter brought back images from the previous night along with its emotions. The table suddenly fell into deep silence and as if someone was turning up the heat, they began to burn up with desire. Without intending to, everything seemed erotic, trying to take control of the situation and keep it normal, Jeremy went on, "Besides, it will complicate things if we start doing it on regular-"

Linda jumped in, "-basis! yes, agreed. Woo! Why is it hot here??", Linda said trying to wave off the hot air using her hand.

Jeremy replied also trying to cool off using what was left of his iced coffee, "I don't know, I think the air conditioner might not be high enough...". Just then Kimberly approached with Linda's order, she placed it on the table, with a smile, "Ma'am, here is your fish salad and tonic wat-" 

Linda hurriedly reached for the water, "Water! Thank you, it's very hot in here.. .", she gulped it down in one go and requested another 500 ml

"Me too, another iced coffee, with lots of ice. Lots and lots" 

Kimberly was taken aback by their weird behavior, 'What's happening? Are their faces red because is hot? But it's not that hot, I am not feeling hot...', she thought as she walked away.
