1 Look at my new orb

Opening his eyes, an endless sea of people drowned him from all sides. The unintelligible cacophony of voices filled with panic and terror overwhelmed him in his first few seconds of lucidity. Where am I? Why am I here instead of in my house? And the answer came just then.

Up in the sky, a white figure of "something" floated in the sky. With a sleek streamlined appearance, almost human-like. The thing that separated it from humans though, undoubtedly not human, is the fact that it was covered in fur and had a face as long as a horse. Topped with 2 bunny ears and a bunny-like

physiology while having the same stance as a human.

A furry if you will. a rabbit furry.

"Welcome all participants!!! You have been selected for the Labyrinth world experience!!"

"..."

"..."

"..."

Everyone went quiet just then. Looking around once more, it seemed they were all young adults. Who hasn't read about being kidnapped by a mysterious being and being playthings for gods? There's only one fate for those who step out of line.

"Does anyone have any questions?"

"..."

"Not even one?"

"Well, i-"

"Shhhh"

Seems someone didn't get the memo.

"Damn, you smartasses"

Upset that he didn't get to turn anyone's brain stuff into a pulp. He decided to continue with his explanation.

"You have been selected to explore the entirety of this world where its destruction is certain."

The atmosphere seemed to get even more unsteady than it already was.

"All one million of you will be given the privilege of awakening your latent potential, in a few seconds the powers of… bah, you wouldn't understand anyway." the rabbit thing seemed to sneer, in whatever way a rabbit can sneer.

And that's when it happened. The surroundings were turned radiant and his vision was dyed in a myriad of colors. The light came as quickly as it went. Or it would have been if it weren't for the effects lingering in his vision.

"Now that thats out of the way, all you have to do-"

"Status window" a good portion of the surroundings said such a phrase out loud, isn't this the natural order of things? The rabbit is quietly vibrating in the air, seems like being interrupted so much is getting to him.

Repeating the same thing as the voices around him, he said status window out loud too.

[Name: Kenvas]

[Soul type: armament]

[Soul armament: Orb of Holding]

A simple status screen, unlike what he expected. No stats or any fancy stuff. Just whatever this is.

The rabbit thing continued looking down from above, watching everyone's reaction as they looked at their status window. I kenvas for one, was disappointed. To think such a bare-bones interface is our status window.

"Hmph, if you haven't caught on already and haven't looked at your status window, then too bad. This is the first and last time you'll be looking at it"

Kenvas thought this wasn't so bad, I mean, what would you do with such a status window, it was practically useless.

"Now since all of you are ignorant mortals with dubious knowledge, I am forced to show you how to use your newly awakened power." He said this lightly. He really seemed to want to drive into our skulls how much he didn't want to do this.

"Say out loud the name of your power, starting with your soul type and then name. Hmph, I would've shown you how to do it if you had let me have some fun."

"…"

"…"

Everyone is still silent

"What the hell are you waiting for, I don't have all day!"

Promptly, I do as I'm told and chant the name of my soul

"Soul armament, orb of holding" Feeling a little embarrassed at this cringeworthy name, he says it quietly. But others were a little more enthusiastic.

"Soul manifestation, break!"

"Soul domain, Za worl-"

Kenvas grasped the glass sphere in his hand that appeared with no fanfare, its shiny and clear exterior reflecting his youthful face and white hair-

"White hair? No no no, my hair is black. Why is it white? And I'm supposed to be mature and handsome! Not… not this!"

Similar scenes played across the field, a change of hair color would be considered getting off easy. Some had a complete redesign of their physiology, seemingly stronger, but toddling like, well, toddler. Others changed genders while some even became younger!

Noticing all of this, he felt the need to check himself again and noticed that although his age is 17, he looked like a prepubescent teen. Shorter while sporting the same clothes that seemed to be too big for him now.

Forcefully taking his mind away from the heart-wrenching matter of his masculinity. He kept focusing on the orb. It was called the orb of holding so it should be used to hold things (duh). But so far it looked like all he could do with it was throw it at someone. Would it even be useful as a throwing weapon? It didn't feel very heavy and tossing it lightly in his hand felt the same as throwing a pencil.

Momentarily, he fumbled the orb out from his hand. the orb, marginally bigger than a softball fell on the ground with a loud thud.

"Well it definitely sounds heavy, maybe I've gotten stronger?" Looking at his muscles that are like that of a child, it did not seem to be the case.

"Tsk tsk, you mortals really hold onto your shell so dearly. Truly befitting a species such as yours." After a moment of silence to scorn them for the umpteenth time it turned back towards us with a face that had no eyes. "Each and every one of you will be sent to a random location into the labyrinth's first-floor sector 1, this unending vast labyrinth will show no mercy to you. There will be creatures of all kinds that haven't seen flesh as delicate as yours in years. Kekek. Good luck."

Something hot flowed through the body of Kenvas, something foreign. And before he knew it, he was all alone surrounded by dark blue brick walls. The hot feeling was still there. But more than that, the darkness of the dungeon suddenly made the reality of his situation dawn on him.

Fear of the unknown is an aspect of many fears. Which fear he felt was unknown. But fear of the dark was likely one of them.

"I really don't like this… soul armament, orb of-" Before he could finish the chant, the orb appeared in his hand. It was glowing, a dim light was emitted from the orb and brightened his surroundings within a 6-foot radius.

"It's making light? That's good. That's very good. But if I didn't have my orb, how would I have survived here when the creatures here could probably see in the dark? Argh!" Scratching his head in anger, he tried to calm himself

"No time for this shit, I need to find my bearings or I'll end up in some monsters guts" Getting up from his position, he couldn't help but notice he let go of his orb, yet it wasn't on the ground, it was floating in the air.

Startled, he looked at his orb, floating there steadily, until a thought crossed his mind. Thinking, he willed it to come towards him. And it came, it came and hit him right in the chest. But he felt no pain, instead, what he got was surprise as it phased right into him.

"What? Is that how it works?" Kenvas thought and willed his orb, appearing from his hand. Now grasping it.

"Huh… as expected of the magical orb, it does magical stuff." he thought out loud.

And finally, he turned his attention to the corridor. The only way to proceed forward is to go down this hall. This hall had blue bricks making up the majority of the wall, with square black tiles making up the floor.

'Clop clop clop'

Walking down the hall, the sound of his sneakers were too loud for the taste of Kenvas. He took them off, along with his other clothes that got in the way of his movement. Leaving him with nothing but a shirt. The shame.

Continuing, he found another room, yet this time he was not alone…
