The Man with The Mud

Angga and Eiji walked through the labyrinth halls for a whole day, and that was exactly what Eiji had said before. Keep going to survive and fight if anyone gets in the way. However, it would be better to hide before meeting a strong enemy. It does sound like a coward to Angga, but what can I do? Eiji is just a boy who is in the second grade of high school.

And Angga thinks that Eiji is a pretty smart kid because when he chooses to hide and dodge, it's just like he refuses to hurt someone, the decision or choice is good enough for his psyche. Hiding does not mean cowardice, but hiding is the right choice so as not to be contaminated and become the same as the others.

"We've walked quite a distance, don't we find a crossroads ahead?" Angga asked Eiji, he felt he could no longer walk, which in the end made him choose to lean against the wall of the bush and rest for a while.

Hearing the questions asked by the Angga made Eiji now turn to look at him and walk back to approach Eiji who was leaning against one of the walls of the labyrinth, "Ah! I forgot to tell you something" said Eiji to Angga who was now frowning and raising his eyebrows as he looked at Eiji who again said, "This labyrinth is alive, they will change routes at an unexpected time ... and I think it depends on the wishes of this labyrinth alone, so don't blame me if we only find one way without any bends like now."

Hearing him say that, Angga sighed tiredly. He nodded also Angga's head who then stood up from his back while saying, "Come on ... let's continue this journey again" Invite Angga to Eiji who is now nodding in agreement to the invitation.

The two of them went back on their way to find at least a bend so they could walk in another area, apart from the long road that continued to stretch straight ahead. The place where they had started from the beginning, and even when Angga looked back, the bodies of the men they had met were still lying far back.

The wind was blowing hard enough to hit Eiji's and Angga's bodies, and even the wind slightly shifted Angga's body backward. Angga's gaze now turned to look at the bend that appeared behind where he was standing, and he immediately grabbed Eiji's hand and took him to enter the bend, Angga's very sudden movement made Eiji surprised by it.

"Ssshhh! I felt something strange about the wind earlier as if the wind was giving us a warning…" said Angga while whispering to Eiji, and just as Eiji was about to speak, a voice came from the T-junction, making Eiji silent.

"Wow?! someone died here!!" A shout from someone made Eiji's body stiffen instantly as if Eiji knew exactly who the person who had just spoken was on the walls of the labyrinth. This made Angga turn to look at Eiji who looked scared, yes ... there's no mistaking it, Eiji must have recognized the person who said a moment ago, with evidence that Eiji looked so frightened by it.

"We have to run..." whispered Eiji to Angga who now spontaneously frowned not understanding, "Let's run!!" asked Eiji while pulling Angga to immediately run away from that place.

Both Angga and Eiji were now equally surprised to find that their footsteps were both stopped because of a puddle of mud that they had just stepped on at this time.

"Ho! Where are you guys going?" a question asked by someone from behind also made Angga look back to find another boy who looked so thin, tall, and slightly bearded, who was now walking towards the two of them with steps that looked like someone who was using Engrang.

If you all don't know, Engrang or what is known as a jajangkungan is a pole or stick used by someone so that they can stand a certain height on the ground, and the skinny man is seen using the Engrang.

The man stopped right in front of them, and he looked confused after his gaze turned to Angga. "Hmm…? I guess you're a new person, aren't you?? and… oh! Eiji… Eiji~" called the man after seeing Eiji.

Eiji looked reluctant to look at the man, and from shaking hands, made Angga sure that Eiji had met the man they were dealing with before.

"You found a new friend?? Good grief! To think… you are such a friendly kid!" said the man to Eiji who still looked reluctant to look at him and seeing Eiji who was reluctant to look at him made the man laugh with pleasure.

Angga's gaze now turned to Eiji, who looked very scared and in the end, Angga reprimanded the man by saying, "Stop laughing!" asked Angga with a little shout that made the skinny man surprised by it.

He glanced sharply at Angga's face by the man who was now walking towards him, the eyes of Angga and the man were now colliding with each other. Angga's sharp eyes and the challenging eyes of the man who is now grinning in front of him.

"You know Eiji?? I could have killed this one friend of yours just as I killed your previous one." the man said that sounded like he was threatening Eiji, hearing that threat made Angga look even more sharply at the man.

"Don't talk to him when you're looking at me right now, so only talk to me!" said Angga growling at the man who now seemed to be frowning and showing a face that did not like Angga.
