On the day of the Cricket World Cup finals in 2023, Rudra was glued to the screen, cheering for his beloved national team, India.
However, to his dismay, India lost the finals, shattering his hopes. Watching his team lose on their home ground was a bitter pill to swallow.
Despite the defeat, Rudra found solace in the remarkable journey of the Indian team throughout the tournament.
They had defeated ten teams in a row without a single loss, an impressive feat by any standard. Yet, some critics and trolls were quick to diminish their achievements, claiming they could only perform in normal matches and not in the high-pressure eliminator matches.
Seeking distraction from the disappointment of the loss, Rudra turned to X-website to gauge the reactions of fellow fans.
As he scrolled through the comments on his mobile, the screen suddenly went blank.
"What the heck? If something happens to my phone, my father will kill me," Rudra panicked, frantically trying to revive the device by pressing the power button. To his dismay, the blank screen turned white.
"Shoot! How do I explain I damaged the display?" Rudra muttered, feeling a sinking sensation in his chest. This was the mobile he had persuaded his father to buy him after two years of persistent pleading.
Suddenly, a strange voice echoed in his head, breaking the eerie silence.

Rudra froze, taken aback by the unexpected question.
"..."
He remained silent, unsure of how to respond to the mysterious inquiry.
[ It seems the host didn't give an answer within a minute, so the system will choose an appropriate answer, ]
the mechanical voice stated matter-of-factly.
"Wait..."
Before Rudra could comprehend what was happening, everything went blank, and he felt himself slipping into unconsciousness.
