Chapter 10

He was strong but even he couldn't take an attack like that. So his body spasmed before losing consciousness. His grip on the protector loosened and he started to free fall. Though just before he hit the water the protector caught him and flew his unconscious body back to the island.

" You have a long way to go..but for your first battle you did amazing, you should be proud." She said looking at Ogun who has slowly turned back to his human form.

{Stefan pov}

"For over a century, I have lived in secrete; hiding in the shadows, alone in the world. Until now. I am a vampire l. and this is my story. I shouldn't have come home. I know the risk. But I had no choice. I have to know her."

He finished that sentence and put his diary away on a bookshelf. There were hundreds of books there with all types of dates. Even ones from a hundred years ago.

{Elena pov}

"Dear diary, today will be different. It has to be. I will smile, and it will be believable. My smile will say "I'm fine, thank you." "Yes, I feel much better." I will no longer be the sad little girl who lost her parents. I will start fresh, and be someone new. It's the only way I'll make it through."

" Elena, come down or you'll be late for school." Hearing her aunt call out to her she sighed and put her diary away.

[In the kitchen]

Elena had just walked in and went straight to the coffee machine that already had a brew ready.

" Toast. I can make toast." Jenna who was rummaging through the fridge asked.

"It's all about the coffee, Aunt Jenna." She kindly rejected the Offer not really in the mood to eat anything for breakfast.

" Is there coffee?" Then in came her brother, who stole the coffee mug she had just poured. Though she didn't mind and just poured another one for herself.

"Your first day of school and I'm totally unprepared. Lunch money?" Her Aunt offered but she didn't need it. But her brother grabbed the opportunity and took it. She gave him a look but he ignored it. She knew he wasn't going to spend it on lunch but probably something more illegal.

" Anything else? A number two pencil? What am I missing?

" Don't you have a big presentation today?" She asked just remembering.

" I'm meeting with my thesis advisor at...now. Crap!"

" Then go. We'll be fine."

"Thanks, have a great first day at school you two, oh and don't forget where welcoming our new neighbours that moved in from across the street. Don't forget." With that, she quickly left the house to get to her presentation.

"You okay?" She asked her brother who was passing behind her. She just wanted to ask. You never know he might open up.

" Don't start." He replied giving her an eye roll.' Or not'

And that was probably her best friend, coming to pick her up.

"Let's hope today is better at least." She told herself not knowing that things from today onwards won't ever be the same. Especially with a witch as a best friend, a Vampire stalker as a love interest and an Eccentric dragon as a neighbour.

[France/9:13 pm...Location: A restaurant near the Eiffel tower.]

" Sorry for the wait Madam, here is your Champignons farcis au beurre d'escargot followed by the Coq au vin. And your dessert can be brought any time. Will that be all for now madam?" The French waiter asked hoping there was more she wanted so he could come back and maybe slip his number to her.

No one could really blame him either. All the men in the restaurant thought the same thing, if they weren't ogling at her face they were looking at her curvaceous body. Whether it be her Crimson Hair flowing down to her backside or her hawk-like stare that seduced men from a single glance. She was a perfect 20 out of 10 if there ever was one.

The women on the other hand were jealous. Not only because even without dressing up she outclassed them but even their lovers or dates were continuously taking glances when they think they weren't looking.

" No need that will be all. You can leave now." She said not even bothering with him and just trying out the food she just ordered. She would give it a 5 out of 10. It wasn't bad but compared to that place it was like comparing a home cook to a professional chef. They were miles apart.

" Now that I think about it it's almost time, isn't it. The stars will align so it will be the perfect opportunity. I just hope nothing goes wrong or I'll have to delay my plans for another year." She frowned but then relaxed, whatever happens, will happen.

[Ring Ring] her phone in her pocket suddenly rang. She sighed knowing there were only 3 people in her contacts and she could already guess who it might be.

" What do you want I'm busy." She asked not giving the person on the other end any respect whatsoever.

" Ye I can see that, stuffing your face with mushrooms. How are the preparations."

" They're fine, I've already got the permits and everything. Now we just have to wait until next week. If that's all I'm hanging up."

" Wait there's one more thing...so what do you think about that waiter, he's pretty cute, isn't he. Plus he kept staring at your body like a piece of wagyu beef, if you want I can leave the hotel room and you two could.

" Shut up, say another word and I'll kill you for real."

" Awwww how cute, my little sister is threatening to kill me, how long has it been mhhh, maybe 3 days, sigh how time flies."

" If that's all I'm hanging up."
