42 Chapter 41 - Battle against time.

My mother hadn't noticed me yet. Or maybe she is pretending I'm not here. 'For some reason, I don't feel nervous. Perhaps it's because I've faced her before?'

A smile appeared on my face.

I looked at my Status and the attack skills I have.

[ Poison Attack LV8 ] [ Poison Fang LV9 ] [ Heavy Attack LV1 ] [ Rot Attack LV1 ]

Honestly, none of those will work. She has resistance and poison... And the other two are at level one. What about my magic? Will it work? Hmmm... If I remember correctly, she doesn't have fire resistance.

'And I use magic differently since I can control it however I want. Usually, there are a few "spells" I can use with fire magic.'

I teleported in the air, and my mother started chasing me. Whenever I had a chance, I tried to attack with my claws, but I couldn't hit my attacks.

I felt my whole body freeze. I practically stopped thinking for a few seconds. Realizing that I would be killed if I was hit, I teleported away. Far away from my mother as possible.

So I teleported to where my mother was. She was no longer there when I arrived, and the cobwebs were all cut up. 'Did she go after me?' As I thought this, I felt something dangerous approaching.

Something close to me came out of the ground, something dark, like a shadow.

And then I was attacked. But I ran.

Just then, I noticed something large falling towards me from the ceiling of the labyrinth.

'Damn!'

I jumped to the side and moved away. I managed to avoid the attack from my mother, who fell where I had been. Her weight was such that the ground cracked, and rocks flew everywhere.

Then she turned to me.

Her still healthy eyes, which I hadn't hurt, stared at me.

'I'm going to chop you up into little pieces.' I thought.

So I kicked the ground, putting almost all my strength into my eight legs. I felt a little pain in them but ignored it. I got close in an instant. My mother's mouth was open. She was going to do something.

But I won't let you do anything!

'Fire magic!' I used fire magic and threw fire toward her mouth.

I took advantage of the distraction my fire caused to hit her. I hit her in the head, in the same place as before, making an even deeper cut. Her HP had regenerated after my first attack but had dropped below 20,000 with this attack.

'If I don't kill it soon, more spiders will appear.'

She could control all her children. It would be a problem if stronger spiders appeared here.

SP 412/656

My SP had risen after hunting for 12 hours and was already 412. But I didn't care and continued teleporting, not with the [ Dimensional Maneuvering ] skill, but with my speed.

I was so fast that it even felt like I was teleporting.

I continued to attack the main body and also my mother's legs. My speed is 4,000 points slower than hers. That's quite a significant difference. But... As long as I don't get hit, it's okay.

It's a battle against time.

I kept hitting her.

But she kept regenerating her life.

But her HP was dropping.

It wasn't going to be that easy, though.

My mother screamed and then decided to use all available means to finish me off. Various spells and abilities began to be used against me.

'If I'm hit by just one of them, I'll die.

Two more mothers appeared.
