To Be Like Him

With that settled, Kubera decided to check his gains from the quest. The first and most obvious was what he saw in his vision. Currently on the top right, he saw a mini map that showed a map very similar to the one he was using. In the center was a green dot, which he assumed to be him. And near his location at a different building he was near, he saw a red dot, which he assumed was an office. The system Nari made truly was outstanding he thought to himself! He also noticed under the minimap, he saw some words.

Although it was cool to know where he was and the difficulty of the AOI, that's something he could memorize despite his low mental. Yet that information was still there nonetheless, so he believed there must be some reason behind them being there. He came to a conclusion after a minute that there must be more features he can unlock through more quests the system gave him! 'Just how far did the system plan ahead?' He couldn't help but think to himself this question. Even though it's his first day on earth, he knows there a lot more to do then just scouting and talking so he continued on.

After checking the map, he opened up the system and checked his skills.

--- Abilities: Trained pet (2 hour cooldown): Activates when accepting to do something you're told to do that you dislike. Gain: +0.3 mental clarity and -0.1 creativity while doing it | Passive: Higher status influential people or groups of people increase your interest in what they're talking about or doing (+50% interest)

-- Information: Can activate a gaming ability that'll boost stats for gaming for a certain period of time

--- Abilities: Game sense (30 minute cooldown)(Duration: 20 minutes): While gaming, activate game sense to gain: +0.3 reaction speed, +0.2 focus with a 30% chance to double the stats 

- Workout (0.3/1.0)

-- Information: Can activate a desire to become stronger while working out

--- Abilities: Gym boost (6 hour cooldown): After working out for 10 minutes, can activate Gym boost gain: 20% more motivation to workout, +0.2 testosterone and 15% chance for +0.1 mental clarity or masculine

- Meditation (0.1/1.0)

-- Information: Can focus on yourself slightly more while meditating

--- Abilities: Inner connection (24 hour cooldown): While meditating, activate to gain: +0.1 focus and 10% increase in body energy purification 

- Scouting (passive)(0.1/1.0)

-- Information: Can detect cameras slightly easier when scouting and can activate an area scan

--- Abilities: Area scan (5 hour cooldown): Detect any camera including hidden cameras in a 5 meter radius around you | Passive: 5% increase in camera detection while scouting

Reading all of this, he now understood a lot more about these skills. Apart from the bad skills, some abilities such as 'Gym boost' and 'Inner connection' allowed him to progress a lot easier in those skills. The abilities were probably from Nari and her power to help him, but in a way that doesn't damage him. If she were to give him access to a stronger Area scan now or a higher gym boost with no cooldown, his body and soul could be destroyed because of how weak they are right now!

She was the soul of a deity born hundreds of years ago after all! Even if she's only been around for a few hundred years, which isn't long to a deity, she's still a deity nonetheless, not to mention one bounded to his soul as well! A mere human like him isn't designed for this type of power, in fact he might very well be the only human in the universe that has a deity bounded to them via soul as that puts the deity's soul in the hands of a mere human which is very risk for both.

The system really was pure genius on Nari's part however, it allowed her to help him and him to help her. But with that out the way, he checked the time on his phone to see it was currently 9:43 am, so he decided he'd focus on one of his AOI bonus tasks. 

After shaking off the feeling of wanting to open up social media, he thought about it for a moment and decided to finish approaching women for the bonus task. He already approached 3 out of 10 so he might as well finish the rest now that he understood how it isn't too big of a deal.

Of course, that was when he knew what to say and it was just a question regarding one of his quests. Now, he had no idea what to talk to a woman about! Without those previous lines being good to use, he was at a loss as to how he should approach the next women..

'Remember, you're doing this to grow, not find a wife..' He tried to calm himself down, but his low mental stats were really causing a toll on himself as he tried to think of something clever to ask or talk to a woman about, but nothing came to mind! 

'Wait, what if I just go up and compliment them?' He thought about it and decided that's exactly what he'll do! The women he approached were attractive after all, so he wasn't lying about that that for sure. He could imagine it now.. They'll start blushing and become shy seeing how he's being such a man who's so direct and honest, then ask for his name and become interested in him! Despite his low stats, he still was able to come up with something amazing, he closed his eyes and wore a proud smirk after coming to this conclusion. 

He was currently still outside of River building, so he looked around and saw a couple of options. One was a black short hair girl sitting down on a bench reading a book. She had a dark red no sleeve shirt that showed a bit of cleavage and black shorts that were so short, they barely went down her upper thighs! He imagined if she stood up, part of her ass would probably show, if it was big of course.

Her eyes were slanted and smaller then some of the people here and she looked to be around his height but he wasn't sure because she was sitting. 

The other girl he saw had walked out the River building a few seconds ago. She was a pale skin long curly blonde hair girl who was taller then him. She had a white dress with a yellow floral pattern all over it, and a small black backpack. What caught his attention the most about her however was when he saw her walked out the building, she had a big rack sticking through the dress, as if they'd rip the dress any minute! 

It was a hard decision between the two. The first girl had a cute face and alluring body despite sitting down, but the other's girl pale skin and dress that has you wondering what's beneath the dress was also enticing. He had forgotten he wasn't looking for a wife! With the way he was staring at the women however, if they saw this, his chances of them accepting his proposal would be close to 0..

He decided he'd approach the second girl! The reason for this wasn't because of the looks, in fact they were both good looking that he wanted to approach both, but he decided he'd approach the second girl because she was already walking away. This was so after he finished that approach, he would walk back to the first girl and approach her as well. A win-win situation compared to if he approached the first girl and lost the second girl! 

Right when he was going to approach the second girl however, something he never expected happened..

A tall man with loose dark green pants, a white shirt, a golden necklace and middle part black hair approached the woman. At first Kubera didn't think much of it and thought it was just her friend since they started laughing not even a minute into their conversation. But then he leaned down and they started kissing right then and there! After a few seconds of kissing, he pulled his phone out and showed it to her, then she started to type something in. After they talked a bit more he waved her goodbye and walked away. All of this only taking not more then 2 minutes! 

When he saw them start kissing, he thought they were dating, but then when he pulled out his phone, that's when he realized what happened. He read about the uses of his phone and how it had a ton of useful features like how he can contact people instantly with it and save their information in it as well. It was a lot more convenient then using magic or a creature to deliver messages, so he didn't bother throwing it away to stop him entirely from falling into temptation. 

He knew when the woman started typing something in the man's phone, she was giving him her information! It was something he had never seen on this world until now. Most men he's seen so far, whether strong looking or not, didn't approach women at all just looking at the floor walking. That man however, despite not looking powerful just tall, approached her similar to the men back at his world that he couldn't help but think of them! Although it wasn't as bold as them, his approach looked as if he was approaching a friend! It was like a sort of ability he had, as if he knew she'd accept him.

After watching this, he wanted to try and be like that man with the first woman he saw earlier sitting at the bench. He wanted that type of outcome with a woman as well!
