12 Football

Arriving at our first class, I see that Peter, Harry and Liz have already arrived.

Peter said, "you guys are late today, usually you guys are first"

Harry spoke right away, with a playful smile on his face, "so you started dating, you arrived late and together"

When Harry said that, I could see Liz got a little nervous, it looked like she wanted to hit Harry for saying that.

Answering Harry, "If that's why, you and Peter have been dating for a while."

When I said this, they had three different reactions, Peter and Harry laughed, Liz looked relieved, and Gwen looked a little unhappy but laughed anyway.

Me and Gwen sat in our respective seats, which was me sitting in the middle of Liz on the right, and Gwen on the left, with Harry sitting across from me, and Peter sitting across from Gwen.

Seeing that there were a few minutes for the teacher to enter the room, I said, "Me and Gwen, we met, with some veterans of the football team, they said that the test for the team is today, after class, someone will do the test?."

Harry replied, "I was going to talk about it now, I'm going to take the test, you two could take the test together with me, it would be nice if the three of us joined the team"

Liz then said, "and guys join the team, me and some friends are going to audition for, cheerleader, then I can cheer for you, we games"

Peter said, "I'm going to take the test, but I'm not very confident about passing it."

"If you two are going to take the test, I'll go along," I said.

Then Harry spoke excitedly, "So the three of us are going to join the team"

When he finished talking, the teacher arrived and we had to stop talking.

So the class went on normally, until it came time for the test, the five of us headed towards the team test.

When we got to the football field, Gwen and Liz walked to the stands to watch the three of us participate in the test.

When we entered the field, there were already a lot of people there, both veterans and freshmen, until the coach arrived and began to explain how the test was going to be.

The test will be like this, the freshmen will form two teams, they will play against each other, then the coach will choose the best of the two teams, and combine them into one team, to face the veterans.

We had to organize our teams ourselves, both choosing players and player positions.

So we split the teams, of course Harry, Peter and I were on the same team, plus Flash Thompson was also on our team, he asked to join my team, along with some of his friends.

As our team started in attack, I'm going to play quarterback, in order to help Peter pass the test, he's wide receiver, while Harry is in the running back position.

[ Sorry for any mistake, I don't know football very well, here in Brazil it's not very popular.

And so the game started, I played great passes for the other players, while for Peter I played such perfect passes that it was harder to drop the ball than to hold it.

For me, playing quarterback is very easy, I can see everyone on the field, I can also predict the movements of both opponents and teammates, you might ask yourself, how can I predict their movements, well it's easy , I use some calculations and also x-ray vision to look at your muscle movements, thus anticipating your movements.

And so I continue the game, we managed to win easily, well thanks to me, the other team, had some good players.

Me, Harry and Peter were selected to play the second game, against the veterans, which was not unexpected because I help them, making better plays for both of them.

Before the second game, we had fifteen minutes to rest, in which time the coach came up to me and said, "boy you're really good, keep it up, and you'll get a spot in the first team".

And so the second game began, unlike the other game, it wasn't so easy, the game was a dispute of points, in the attacking part the team kept scoring with my passes, but in the defense moment the team couldn't keep up , but in the end, we ended up winning, mainly because of me, Harry and Peter, must be what the coach must be thinking, but it was just me favoring them myself, Harry is good but not enough to beat the veterans, Peter I don't even need to talk, he's definitely one of the worst, the freshmen.

After the game, the coach spoke to me again, he said he was impressed, and that I would be on the starting lineup.

Coming out of the locker room, we found Gwen and Liz waiting for us, they started talking about how we had played really well, but mostly praising me, as if they were vying for my attention.
