49 Debut at sight Part V

Last night was quite fun, and talking with Cho Ah was always really amusing, even more so when her uncle, our boss, is present. It doesn't matter that he's usually just teasing me about being Cho Ah, he makes the night quite fun. Still, I was really surprised when I came back in the early morning.

All of the new guys were just scattered on the floor of the living room, as they fell asleep there, quite a sight if I have to admit. Even more surprising was that when I woke them up, I had no reaction at all, even the youngest one, Junior as I told the hyungs to call him, was not bothered at all, and his usual trembling was nowhere to be seen. All three of them simply walked towards their beds, without saying a word.

Anyway, forgetting about this early morning incident, I was serving breakfast right now, while Tempo-hyung helped me by setting the table.

This time, breakfast was a lot simpler compared to yesterday, rice, leftover kimchi from yesterday, vegetable omelet, and tofu seasoned with soy sauce.

— Everything ready at the table, can I help you with anything else? — Tempo-hyung interrupted my thoughts.

— Don't worry Hyung, why don't you call the new guys? — I replied.

— They're already seated — he calmly said.

Quite surprised by the comment, I turned to the table, only to notice that 4 members were already seated there, the 3 new guys and Young Bae-hyung who was awkwardly seated between Dae Sung, the one with small eyes, and SO-1. The only other seats available were by each side of Junior.

— Ji Yong! Breakfast's ready — I yelled.

Immediately, a scream came back from one of the rooms, while I amusingly stared at the young man walking towards the table.

Ji Yong-hyung calmly walked towards the table, until he noticed the problem. Seeing the two available seats, he instantly frowned and awkwardly stared at Young Bae, who was finding something interesting on the floor. Finally, he decided to simply take a seat while angrily saying.

— Junior, make some space — surprisingly, Junior just moved, without saying anything, but more importantly, the poker expression he's had since I woke them up in the early morning didn't change.

— Hyung what did you tell them? — I whispered at Tempo-hyung who was still by my side.

— Just.. what you said, why do you ask? — he said, clearly nervous at the question.

I raised my eyebrow while directly staring at him, hoping for the real answer, but he just dodged my gaze, so I decided to ignore it for now. Not without commenting.

— Are you sure? Simply telling them some of my stories shouldn't traumatize them like that — I said, a little bit puzzled about the reason behind the state of mind of the new guys.

Hyung just ignored my inquiring, so I finally decided to give up.

That way, we once again had breakfast in total silence, each one minding their own business. Breakfast has been the most excruciating and uncomfortable moment since the new guys came, but I think this will come to pass with time, hopefully, before the start of the recording of the show.

Before I noticed, everyone was standing up to get ready for the day, including the new guys who stoically walked towards their rooms. Finally, just Tempo-hyung and I were still at the table.

— You still have something to do before going to school — Tempo-hyung said, while a creepy smile peeked on his face.

— Huh? — completely puzzled at the statement, I could only wait for him to elaborate.

— Have you forgotten? You promised to write a letter these days, I think today is the day — He said with a silly smile, making me having the impulse of erasing it from his face with a hit.

"Shit" was the only thing I could think.

— And don't even think about trying to brush it off. I won't go until you write it, so go ahead — he said while framing his face with his palms, annoyingly looking at me.

I even noticed that some sheets of paper and a pen were by one corner of the table and rolled my eyes at him.

— Also, letters are outdated right now, you should think about calling or something — I glared at him but he just brushed it off while keeping his annoying smile.

Still, I decided to start writing so I don't have to worry later. With that being said, words weren't flowing at all. My thoughts were completely a mess right now, making me struggle a lot while trying to write something. Finally, some words came out.

"Dear Eimi,"

A cliché start. Finally, I decided to be completely honest.

"Well, that was awkward, still, I think it is about time that I finally write to you. How's everything going there, I hope life has been a little bit gentler to you. Not that I can complain too much."

Awkward as hell...

"Still, quite a few things have happened on my end. On my end, well I've been training to be a singer for quite a few years, a lot thing has happened along the way, but I guess that's something for another thing. For now, Ju Hyun-ah has told me a few things, so I know you're in SM. With that being said, I think we'll soon meet in person, once again."

I stopped writing for a little bit, organizing my thoughts, and then continued.

"I should probably tell you about it... Damian died some years back... I buried him myself... But some months back I asked for his body to be moved back to Seoul, as well as some other bodies, that was his last wish."

It was true, Uncle Lee told me that he didn't want to be cremated, so I finally moved his body, as well as my grandmother's, mother's, and father's body. All of them moved to a graveyard here in Seoul, all thanks to my father as I didn't have money to do it. Still, those details were something to talk about in person.

"And before you even ask about writing before, well I wondered for a long time if writing to you was correct or not. The thing is, our life before was something I thought you should better forget, I thought that you would better be completely separated from that world. Still, after a talk with Damian a few years ago, as well as with some of my Hyungs here at the agency, I was finally able to make a decision."

Trying to explain myself was quite hard, a lot harder than I initially thought, but I tried my best.

"Here I am, awkwardly writing about my life these last years, that wasn't that pretty after all. Still, as I've said, I can't complain. Made friends, met some good Hyungs that take care of me, I've even been adopted by a good man. Life has been exciting if I must say".

Had I raised my head to look at Tempo-hyung, I could have seen the soft smile that adorned his face while looking at me. And more importantly, if I could see myself, the smile that was now plastered on my face would have embarrassed me.

"Finally, I expect your reply to this letter,"

Taking a deep breath, I finally managed to write the last part of the letter.

"Your big brother, Park Chris/Jangsu"

— Don't forget to put the address of the agency too, as she may want to reply — seeing as I was wrapping the letter, Hyung reminded me. That way I put the address of the apartment and the address of YG as a postscript.

— Finished? — I happily nodded at him — then get ready for school, kiddo.

Raising my eyebrow and with half a laugh I asked.

— What's with the newfound confidence? — I joked.

— Shut up, let me have my cool hyung moment you bastard — he softly slapped my head while laughing — well you should go out before getting late to school, from what you've been telling me, that teacher doesn't like you at all.

Sighing one last time, I took a last look at the letter I just wrote and gave it to Tempo-hyung.

— Would you do it for me? The address is already written on it.

Hyung simply took the envelope and nodded at me.

I hope she replies to something.

5 days until the start of the survival show.
